Okay, breaking everyone into the Don Lemon Show newsroom.Something is going on at Howard University.Something is going on.Howard is offering voluntary retirement and separation packages to about 600 eligible faculty and staff as the university tries to cut long -term costs.And remember, this was just weeks ago, more than 500 incoming students were abruptly disenrolled over unpaid balances shortly before the academic year.

That caused a huge, huge uproar.More than 200 students have since been reinstated, but, Now you have hundreds of students affected on one side and potentially hundreds of faculty and staff on the other.So what is happening behind closed doors at Howard?Howard appears to be under serious financial pressure, appears to be.And if that is the case, its community deserves to know what is going on.People are depending on this HBCU for their education, their jobs, and their futures.
