Something just isn't feeling right.

Today's the day.The morning of the move.It has been a rough one, I'm not gonna lie.Me and Benji, well, come over here, Benji.You guys didn't even get to see the expression or his reaction to everyone's votes.

I'm grateful that my kids have ambition to set goals and move forward.

That's a good way to look at it.

But I would rather be here, but.Yeah.I'm gonna support the next little while.

You're thinking it's a timing issue, right?Right.It's like in a few years.But, We are going to have to put the Maui house up for sale.

I'm sorry, what?

Putting our dreams on hold for the kids.It's kind of just been the story.That's what parents do, right?All parents kind of put their dreams on hold a lot of times.I'm talking to you moms out there, a lot of you moms.dads, but those dreams eventually do come true.

Just keep trying the ball and keep moving forward.They say best laid plans for a reason because we thought we had a plan that the kids were gonna all love and enjoy, and it turns out it's just not quite the right timing of the plan, right?The plan's still good though.

No, our plan is still good.

We're still planning on moving here.

Most people our age are close to, if not, empty nesters.

Yeah.

So we have some different circumstances.

We have eight in our net still, so a little bit different, yeah.

So yeah, so maybe some of the things that we had planned to do at this point in time in our life are still on hold.

Yeah, it's all good.

But they're going to happen, so it's just a matter of timing.

There's been rough moments where I'm like, no.this even just this morning i'm like okay i gotta get out of this funky feeling because there's so many exciting things like we are so blessed this has been kind of like a joy that we've gotten to choose like and then we got to keep both houses at the same time so we could see if it was really the best fit and so we really are blessed that you're able to try it out and really see if it fit and you know it didn't fit right now and so we're gonna sell the Maui house that i was not expecting Which is hard.

Yes.

It's our dream.

It's really hard to do this.

But we are going to start building our house on our lot.So that's some good information.We are going to start building that house, which gives us like the hope for a future.But it does take like two years.Three years.It might be two to three years to build.

So we're looking at like five years from now, people.That's OK.We've been doing our home for five years.Honey, I've got to stop talking.We've got to start packing.We have a whole house to pack and eight kids to move in one day because we literally get on a plane tonight.

The kids right now are saying goodbye to their friends at school, bye to their teachers, and they're trying to hit the graduation tonight.But meanwhile, we've got to pack everything.The kids got to pack their stuff up and we're heading to the airport tonight.and going on a red -eye to St. George, so.

I keep telling myself we are going to come back for a little vacation in July bringing back Cass and Josh and Suede and then possibly Bridger and maybe a couple of the adult kids might be coming as well.So I'll be able to like maybe during that visit grab whatever we leave here during this move and then I think I'm probably gonna have to have one more time of coming over and getting more stuff.Anyway, I have a lot to do in getting this house ready to sell, but right now I'm just concentrating on what I absolutely need for the next couple months and what we don't want to leave here while we're just trying to get it ready to sell and then everything else I can get the next time.So dividing it into two different trips, people, I have a lot of stuff to move with eight kids and yeah.and he's at least two trips.

So basically, I'm packing right now, but I'm a little stressed because I have a lot to pack, and I'm bringing two suitcases.Guys, I pack a little bit early because I'm actually leaving on my birthday trip.But we're gonna get into the Castle House at the same time as my family, so we're finally gonna see it all together.I'm so excited to see my room.It's been so long, I just can't wait.But if you guys want, jump over to Paisley and Presley.

Hey guys, what is up?So, I have a little bit of news right now.so you know how paisley's going to disneyland with cassidy yeah what about it i'm gonna tag along with paisley and fly with her to california to drop her off to cassidy and then i will be going catching another flight so i would like drop her off then i'm gonna be catching another flight to go see lily i'm gonna be spending like almost like kind of like a week with lily and i'm gonna be heading down to st george so this is literally my last time being in this roomMm -hmm.

You guys, this is Navey's outfit for graduation, and...Oh my gosh.She's currently...All of these bags.She has so much bags.

I'm at 57, so I need to take out seven things.Not seven things.Seven pounds.Take...How about all these frickin' Med -Q masks?53.

Oh my gosh.I need to weigh my bag.because i got done tanning and got ready and stuff but i have a big luggage so i'm praying it's not overweight because it feels a bit heavy to overweight that is just great well what do you need to do about that i did not think that through granted maybe this was not the best idea Guys, I forgot to tell you the very best part of this crazy day.

So we leave, we go on a red eye, like I said, but what you don't know and what you're going to see, so make sure you keep watching, is I haven't told any of our adult kids what we're doing.They have no clue.All they know is they sent in their opinions like you guys saw in this video right here, but that is all they know.So, As you saw in that video, we are going to go live.Well, that going live is in less than 24 hours from right now.We are going to get home to the castle house, see the castle house for the first time in a lot of months.

It's going to be super exciting for the kids.So, go get ready.back in their rooms and just get reacquainted with the house.And then we are having a huge pool party where I've invited all of the adult kids.And they just think they're having a pool party, but what's going to happen is I'm actually going to go live, have the kids come up and share their votes and share what we are doing.You will see their literal, authentic reactions to us telling them that we are moving back.

I'm pretty excited for that part.That is the part that I like.Of course, that is the perk of living in the city.house, is I am a lot closer to a lot of my adult kids, and they are gonna be so excited, and so, shh, don't tell yet.We will see at the end of this video their reaction.

We do.So you guys, now we got two bags.We got this one, which I think is not overweight anymore.And then we have this one.And then we have the bag.This is going to be miserable carrying it through the airport, because we have so many bags.

But hopefully, it's underweight now, because this one can't fit anymore.Fingers crossed.

This is literally my last time being here.And I literally started packing.You can't tell.I put some jeans in there.But I need to pack some more, so.

oh this is really sad but i'm so excited because i can't wait to go see all my friends but if you can't tell my closet is a mess because i'm making sure i get every little thing all right i've got all of the boys clothes in this bag a little bit about our like pool party i ordered pre -ordered some groceries to deliver there and so we're gonna just have like a fun barbecue pool party type thing and Yeah, the kids have no clue.I just can't wait to see their expression.They're gonna die.I know that some of them are kind of like, yes, it's fine, everything else, but some of them have had a really hard time.Cass has had a really hard time.And so it's gonna be crazy.

And it's been really hard for Paisley, because as you saw, she was going on her birthday trip with Cass.And so she's had to not say a word.And I'm like, Paisley, Cass is very, very clever.She's gonna be fine.to find out what's going on.But if you have to, like, lean on the side of one side or the other, lean on the side that we're sitting here.

So she's been really good.Also, Luke has been spending a lot of time with Lily.And again, I've been like, Luke, you can't say anything.Don't even hint to it.And they both have assured me they have not said a word.And they haven't hinted to it or anything.

So it's literally going to be a huge surprise.

I think I'm excited.I'm excited.

It's a beach day.for my friends, and I said goodbye to them, and I'm really sad because I'm gonna miss them all so much, but it's okay, because I get to see my older family, and I'm so excited about that, but I need to, I don't know how to fit all this.

I have a whole closet still to pack.I don't have any clothes back at the castle house, so I need to take quite a few of these.When I went back for Lily's wedding,I was like, oh, I have no clothes.I take back quite a few things, and it's gonna be great.Sometimes, make plans, and they just don't quite work out, and that's okay.

I think Heavenly Father has a bigger plan than any of us can even believe, and we just lean into that, and just, you know, try to listen, and go where he would have us go, and do what he would have us do.It all works out probably a lot better than it could have ever worked out.with our plan.So I think this is going to be a great year back at the castle house and I think that our kids are going to thrive and do really well.I think that they maybe took a lot of things for granted at our other house, you know, and I think they're going to really be grateful for those things, probably spend more time together.That's one thing that they really loved here is even though it kind of forced them to spend time together because there wasn't so many things and so many people, it taught them that that's really important in our family.

And so I am really grateful for the lessons they learned.I'm also super grateful for the people here.Like, don't even get me started.me started because I'll start crying and so will Benji.Some of the most incredible people that I've ever met live here on this island.This island is beautiful and it has such a beautiful spirit and I swear to you that the Hawaiian people just have like soaked it into their very being and they're just incredible, resilient, strong, inspirational people and it's been an honor to get to know some of them.

Some of the most incredible people I think I'll ever know.It's all good though.Everything's great.I'm excited.It's gonna be a great year.The kids, I think are also probably going to see what they maybe took advantage of here while they're there.

They're going to suddenly be like, you know, we really should have locked in and enjoyed it more.And maybe the grass will be greener here in Maui, so to speak.No pun intended, because the grass definitely is greener.But maybe they'll start to see that.And maybe, who knows, in 2020,we'll be moving back here when we start building and we'll see like all of these unknowns and I'm just trusting in Heavenly Father to help us figure it all out.

I'm just gonna try to enjoy the journey and I'm so grateful for I mean we have incredible lives and Even though there are really hard parts of our life, I know it might look like on the outside that our life is just like complete fantasy.And there are elements of fantasy for sure.And I'm so grateful for those incredible blessings that we have.But some of the things you don't see that are behind cameras have been really hard.And this has been a really difficult year.I would say this is probably been one of the most difficult years.

of me just as a mother.I'm just grateful.I'm grateful that maybe during one of the hardest years of my life, I was kind of in the most sacred place I could think of.As a lot of you know, I lost my cute mama a little over a year ago and right when I know her cancer had come back, we set a goal to come to Maui and she'd even bought these cute clothes and to wear, and then she wasn't able to make it here.Sadly, the counselor took her before we made our trip, and so we made a really special trip of it, and I, like, dedicated it to her.Just yesterday, I was wearing one of the little moo -moos that she had bought to wear here, one of the little dresses that she bought to wear here, and it has butterflies on it.

And I alluded to butterflies, like my cute Elsie said, that that's one of the things she's going to miss here in Maui.

Since, like, this time, my mom I forgot what story it was, but it was something about a butterfly and you and Grammy.At school, I just started seeing so much butterflies.After that story, I just see butterflies.

I have lots of special stories about Grammy, but one of them is about me catching butterflies.I'll have to tell you about that another time.And maybe I'll still outside.probably about that maybe another day because I don't want to be so emotional but yesterday I decided to wear that and it has butterflies on it and I went outside a few times just to reflect on how beautiful it is here and I just kept seeing butterflies all day long.So many butterflies and I was just kind of little tender mercy to my spirit to let me know that like my mom and my grandma they're rooting for us on the other side and our ancestors are waiting for us on the other side that's one thing that you really hear a lot about here in Maui is the appreciation of your ancestors and it felt really connected to my mom and my grandma and my father -in -law and some of my ancestors here in Maui and so that's that's created such a beautiful place here to like heal from losing my mom and and just kind of take some refuge and just kind of hold hold the kids a little bit closer because they go really fast and so it's been a beautiful year and so even though i'm sad i'm just really grateful maybe these are just grateful tears because it's been a really special year so anyway all right i'm gonna keep packing and gain control these tears and then i'll be back love you mama okay guys i got all my clothes i'm almost done packing and I guess I'll see you guys at the castle house.

This is like - That is stressing.It's all on the other side of the island, and they've got to get back here in time for - to go to the air - Anyway, hopefully we find it.We're gonna say a little prayer and see if we can locate it, but we've been looking now for about 45 minutes, and we cannot find it.We've got a big, big problem here.

Will won clothes because it's summer now, and it's the winter, so obviously I didn't have to wear any of my summer clothes.But I brought all my summer clothes here, and now I have to bring all of them back.And Jay has some not good news.

What's that?I just went to weigh one of the bags, and it did something to my back.So I'm definitely not going to be able to lift any bags.I did hers just fine.It didn't even hurt me, but I did hers, and it sent all these weird shocks, and I lost my breath, and I couldn't breathe for a minute, and it was not good.I hate to be drama, but I do think I injured my back just now.

That's not good.Not good at all.I had surgery a few years ago.I ruptured it and had surgery and it made it so much better.And I think I just took advantage of the fact that my back feels better because I just lifted it like, no big deal.And yeah, I don't cry anymore.

bad news ever.Our flight is so delayed that now alumnus are connecting flight all together in Phoenix.And there is no other flight for the rest of the day because the 2 .30 is all booked up.So that means we won't get in for another day.And I got all the kids planning on coming.I have all the food ready for them to have this big, fun, cool party.

I'm going to tell all of them the news.And I promised all of you that we would go live on Saturday, the day after the event.So if we didn't go live on Saturday, now you know why.I'm chatting with some of the clinicals, the food, trying to get two hours of sleep.Guys, I have an update.I don't know if it's good news.

They said I had 24 minutes from when we land when the other plane takes off, but they closed the doors 15 minutes early.So, and they said that a normal walk there would be like 16 minutes.We got to make it there in nine minutes with six kids and all of our heavy bags that you saw Benji carrying.This is the plan, because I hurt my back.I'm going to get my bags and I'm going to put it there as fast as I possibly can and see if they will hold the gate open for the rest of my day.and bitch.

Otherwise, we won't get to our house until Sunday.Wish us luck.Say a little prayer.Hopefully our legs can do it.Hopefully my back doesn't break on the way there.I'm going ahead of everybody.

huge blessing it was such a no -go that they weren't even they took the kids all off of the plane so miracles good news guys so you know how our original idea of being able to use like our expertise to somehow helpAnd now things are, I don't know, falling together.And it's so weird, because yesterday, literally the day before, we needed to come home with some real things fell into place that we think we're going to be able to help in a really big way, along with some other really amazing people.And so we will keep you guys updated on that as it gets closer.

It's just a question now.The MFOR, we were meeting with a gentleman at dinner who introduces us to someone the next day that they've been promising us to meet.We all got out a few bios for the end and said, yeah, these are the pieces that we really, really thought we could work on.

It's like all the pieces are falling together.The ones we're working towards will be different things.I'm excited about all these pieces coming together.

Literally the day before we leave.We will fill you guys in on how cool it's going to be.We kind of found the beginning of what it is we need to do there and so that's very exciting.

We got to get new family pictures, by the way.We're missing quite a few people in those family pictures.I have missed this house.It's only been a couple of minutes and I'm fully sweating, but it was always like, when we came back, it kind of felt like, oh, we're just visiting this house.And not really sure what we're going to do with it and stuff.And now, like, we're back.

It's just a different feeling.Yay!So nice and my back is feeling a little bit better guys, so I'm not so stressed about it.Okay, my room, beautiful.Okay, get ready for this.You guys, because our little kids, they are seriously gonna die.

They're gonna cry, they're gonna scream, they're gonna yell.I'm really excited to be able to give them this.At least the next year, year and a half, two years maybe with us all here closer and hopefully we can like reconnect some of those bonds that feel like they've kind of been a little bit fractured with us being so far away.So really excited to tell the kids.

We're gonna get some internet as we go.

We're such a trip.

So I have to make three different types just to make everybody happy.And I always want to make them all happy, so I will do it.I'll make all three types.

Gee, that sounds like a lot of work.All right, guys.I'm finishing getting ready.And the adult kids are going to start arriving really soon.Again, I've had my fillings, but it's starting to settle in.And it's all good.

So I've kind of got most of what I need in bowl number one for the picky eaters.And now I'm starting on bowl number two for the other picky eaters.I'll make sure they're equal so everyone gets what they want.

I just want to make sure like more than anything that my kids look back on their childhood and just absolutely love it.They just had the best time.I know that our life is not like everyone else's.We have kind of a crazy life with showcasing so much of it on YouTube, you know, filming a couple days a week and just going to all the events and all of the opportunities we've had.We've been so blessed through YouTube, but there's also been, you know, some, some hard parts of that.Me and the kids had had to kind of develop a little bit of thick skin and

you will, because sometimes people leave rude comments or, you know, they don't like a certain way that I parent or whatever, or maybe even make assumptions that really aren't true.And so there are some hard parts of YouTube for sure.

So I got the eggs all done.I got a few extras left over.We'll eat those someway, somehow.I love eggs.But now it's time to make the secret sauce.My mom has this recipe, she follows exactly.

I just make it every time and everyone's like, oh my gosh, this has got better.So I'm just going to go for it again.So my special ingredients, I'm just going to tell you are mayo, maracuja, mustard, paprika, our sugar, and yes, you use one full jar, 48 full ounces to make potato salad.

For the most part, I think that it has been such a positive experience for everybody over the past seven years being on YouTube.And so far, all of the kids have had an awesome childhood.I know I had an amazing childhood.My childhood was like picturesque, you know, just a different time.But I just want to make sure that they have great memories of growing up.And so many of them have connected to our castle house here.

And so I'm glad that we're going to be able to come back and let at least some of the older kids kind of finish out those, you know, childhood years or the years that you're with your parents here at the Castle House.Yeah, so finishing getting ready and we're going to go live for you and let the kids know what our final decision is.If you do miss this live, then you're going to see it right here.So it's all good.

So we had one for castle house.Next we had Beckham.And Beckham, like, I thought for sure Beckham would be choosing Maui, but he surprised me hugely and just, like, Castle House.I was like, wait, what?So then we had two for the Castle House, okay?So then next we had Elsie.

Elsie said all the beautiful things about Maui and the things that she missed here in the castle house, but her decision actually was Maui.Then next, we had Wesley.And Presley ended up, you guys saw it, you saw it yesterday, she ended up choosing the castle house.I miss all of you guys so much, though.There you go.You know, everybody that chose the castle house, like, everybody misses everybody, right?

But the people who chose the castle house, they like that visit every week thing.And the people, a lot of people that chose Maui, they really appreciated that like the long visits, like the two or three weeks you guys stay and get like these really fun visits in and you stay up late, talk and all of that, right?So they just liked visiting different ways.It wasn't that they didn't think that being home was important.That was huge for them.So moving on, after Presley was Delaney and Delaney chose, I'm getting my echo over here.

Delaney chose Maui.All right.All right.So then, then it moved on to Paisley.And Paisley said the beautiful things about both, but ultimately, in the video that you guys saw, she chose Maui.So, we're tied.

Okay.Keep going, keep going.Okay.Then, We jumped to Luke, and Luke has really missed everything at the castle house.So he chose Maui Castle House.

All right.And then...Have you voted Maui too?Oh, John!

What a shocker!And then me and Dad voted.And you gotta know what we voted for.for because we both feel very called to be in Maui.We feel like there's a huge purpose for our family to be there.We felt like it was like a refuge.

And we love those long visits where we get a visit with our adult kids for weeks and weeks and just really feel that kind of just, it's a different visit, right?So I chose Maui and then we went to dad's vote and dad chose Maui.We were dead tied.I did not see that coming.I promise you guys, I thought that two little boys would for sure choose Maui.So then we had lots of discussions.
