Dogs know kisses mean I love you or like do they just think we're literally like like, you know, oh the nose Welcome to the vlog Don't mind how messy my room is right now.I need a day or two of just cleaning and organizing and I want to start that so this vlog is definitely going to be like a getting not my life together, but definitely there's so much I've been meaning to do but I was focusing on Ashley's shower and then I was traveling all of April so slow and steady process.There's a lot of things I need to get done, especially before Ashley's wedding because I've mentioned before but Yuka's family is coming to visit and I want to get the guest room ready.I want to get downstairs ready.I need to move my office back downstairs now that it's finally painted.I don't even think I've shown you the full look of it being painted downstairs in the old BU pod room which is crazy because again before the basically unfiltered podcast that was my office and now it feels like what a year and a half later two years later almost no yeah year and a half later it's going back to being my office we're not gonna put makeup on today because i have no reason to and yeah i'm just gonna put on some tinted sunscreen Get to cleaning and organizing, but yeah, I feel like I've just been focusing on Ashley's shower and stuff Which if you didn't see my last vlog go watch it.

It was so good.It was so sweet She literally like was so happy with everything.I feel like I barely vlogged because my head was everywhere hosting is no joke I'm a type B friend.I'm not a hoster and the whole time.I just kept thinking I was like, oh my god dice.Oh my god drinks Oh my god this and then this and then this and then this so I feel like it flew by But it was so good and it was so fun And I'm just so excited and happy for Ashley the next thing to focus on and my maid of honor duties is the bachelorette So I have a little bit of time for that, but anytime I can get I really want to focus on good stuff

the house just like back in order and stuff.So today's Monday and on Wednesday, I booked some movers to help come over and move the heavy things in that room, which is essentially the big console table.I think they need like Maybe two or three guys because I have to get them downstairs.That's the problem and then my rising desk I feel like everything else I can kind of do so I figured today and tomorrow I'm gonna get as much done as possible So that way on Wednesday, they just have to do like the big things It's nice having that as motivation because in my head I'm like, oh my god, I have to have this done before Wednesday So we're gonna do that and then I need to buy a new bed frame and a mattress for that room I really should paint also because I don't think I've ever painted that room I don't want to but I feel like I should paint that room Look there mean that and the hallway I feel like there's actually a lot of painting I should do because there's just so many like scuffs and marks on the wall But yeah, so my god, my brain's been everywhere lately guys Everywhere, but that's okay.Get it y 'all.This room is currently looking like so much progress I need to get rid of the coffee cart the stool and then this wall as you can see We just have the black credenza console table thing.

I'm keeping the curtains This I honestly like I really love and I think I can still use it same with the bench the tv i'm trying to decide If I want to put it up on the wall i'm also thinking on this wall So I need to figure out what I want to do exactly and let's you know, get some cleaning doneYou can see it next up is this console table.I love it I think it's gonna look really good downstairs and kind of like fit the vibe downstairs So I should measure it so I can see exactly what wall can go on and then I also need to empty it So that way it's a little bit lighter for them when they move it this mostly has like tech stuff like voiceover mics tripods But also I finally don't have nails ASMR.It's so I can't it's too good I could literally have this instead of rain noise at night, and I would fall asleep.Ugh.Being made, we did have a little bit of a malfunction with the curtains.

They completely fell.And that's what I get for putting it up myself.So the big things that I need the guys to move is obviously the huge credenza, my big standing desk, and then the walking treadmill.I think I can do the rug right now.All of this is stuff that is on Poshmark.Go shop my Poshmark, link below.

That's kind of it.Oh, and then the art frames too, so we can grab those.of people being like alicia you change up all your rooms so much and i'm like i'm sorry how did no one else change their room at likemidnight when they were younger for no reason, just to kind of change it up.It does feel like I just did this room, but I am excited to move it mostly because again, I only moved it up here for the podcast to go downstairs.And this room definitely gets the least amount of light out of all of the bedrooms.

So this makes sense to be more of like a guest room or like a room that's really not utilized much versus my office.Like I'd rather have like a lot of bright light for my office.This rug is stuck to the ground, so I'm curious how easy it's going to be to rip it up.These little stickies, honestly, would probably be a changer if this rug never moved.Vacuum her!Genuinely, the little rug stickies, I cannot explain how...

Helpful these are I got them off Amazon, especially cheaper rugs if you don't have like a runner thing under it It just doesn't move.Oh my god.I'm like so proud.I feel like there's so much progress that's made This is what I mean about like I haven't painted this room ever since moving in there are so many just marks Obviously like oh, I should actually show you guys the truth.Okay.

I'm actually so embarrassed What I was just saying is how there's so many also just holes from nails and screws from hanging things on the wall And then that reminded me of this lovely Situation we have going on.Here's the thing.This is the prime example of oh my god.This is so embarrassing I wanted to make sure I secured this and I didn't want to wait for like a handyman or TaskRabbit or my dad to drive out and help me with it So I was like I can do it.I know how to use a drill which for the most part I do.Okay, however, this was a really heavy piece So I had to make sure I did it right but because of that I ended up just putting a whole bunch of screws all over to hang this on there and And I definitely made massive holes that needs to be patched up for the drywall.

So I'll show you guys.I still love this DIY, by the way, but you're going to cry laughing when you see this.Yeah, it's really bad like this should have only needed one maybe two screws and I just kept hitting drywall and I was trying to use the stud finder and it was like it's fine I can do it and then by that time I just committed to we're gonna have to repatch this Anyway, this is what I mean about I think I should just repaint Before I really do much else, you know because now's the time and once there's a new bed in here It's just never gonna feel like a right time for the most part though.I feel like it's pretty good.But yeah, there's definitely Like this screw.I don't mind as much.

It's really all of these need to be repatched as well as my beautiful masterpiece right here So yeah, I'm would love your help.I kind of like the white trim in here Like part of me wants to just do the same gray walls.I don't mind it and I also feel like it's like it's nice I like the doors being like I just like I don't want to do the exact same Everywhere in the house and obviously all downstairs is that new like beige color and I kind of I don't know.

A lot of times with the podcast, we record on the weekends and stuff, so.yeah for instance this week we're filming on a saturday so it just the schedule's all over the place but i wanted to like get cute today i wanted to just have a me day have a day where i take myself on a little i don't know exactly date i might bring my journal Go to a coffee shop.I also was able to get a reservation at this really cool showroom And i've seen them on instagram for so long and somehow I was able to get a same day appointment So i'm really excited.It's called boulevard.I also should clean up a little bit.I really need to do dishes I guess today's kind of like my weekend.

It's gonna be part saturday slash sunday reset Ashley also wanted to come over tonight.

So we might have a good timesister wine night.

Can I have it for a second?Okay.I have had in the past like two months, there has been like three different brands that I'm working with that have very specific pronunciation, but they don't send it in the briefs.Okay.So essentially they have a word somewhere like being said, whether it's like a podcast ad or like a brand deal I'm currently working on and something like keeps happening and I don't understand why brands who have very specific ways that they want things said specifically for hard words like words that aren't on the daily i'm not talking about words like food or banana i'm talking about like like I wanna say the past like month or two, I've had three different instances where I have to do a pickup saying the different words, which I will say, totally fine, especially if it's like something on me where I'm like, oh, I said that completely wrong.But all of these instances, we looked up the way to pronounce it on Google, on YouTube, and I said it the way you're supposed to pronounce it.

And then they come back and they're like, no, we want you to say it this way.And I'm like, oh my God, why don't you just put like a blurb or like, phonetic pronunciation in the brief obviously i don't want to say it wrong but after doing it four times i'm like there has to be a much better way to streamline this and i really feel like phonetic pronunciation is one day i'll come out with like a full -on consulting type class for brands and that would probably be the top thing i say just phonetic pronunciation because even if I feel like what happens a lot are brands are so obviously they like live eat and breathe their brand So to them it's common knowledge that something's pronounced a certain way But especially when you get like Italian or French words or things that are just like not well commonly known just don't assume people know how to say it or Make sure you show it say it in the brief how to say it because it's just it's like I don't know what's happening right now, but anyway, I'm gonna do some voiceoverfor the fifth time.Also side note this mic has been something that I love and funny enough I have to give credit where credit's due.Zayn actually told me about this and I feel like I'm usually the one who's always finding new tech and stuff.These are Rode mics.

They're wireless and And what's so cool is you can use them as interviewing.I personally like doing them for voiceover work for whether it's like the podcast or, you know, brand deals, voiceovers, whatever.And what I like about it is there's no memory card that you need the on buttons down here, but then the way that you import it is you unscrew this.And then there's a port right here.And then you just plug it directly into your computer, drag and drop.I usually send it over text, but you can email or drag, drag and drop all the files and stuff.

And then it's chargeable.It records onto this mic and it's really nice.I'm going to have my link to it below.I literally bought two of them.Remy bought one afterwards.It's just so nice because the quality is pretty good.

I love the mini mics for what they are, but I will say this is definitely more reliable because you don't have to sync it to your phone or your camera.We do that in post, obviously, but it's just, it's nice.Yeah, it's actually really good.Any creators out there?Highly recommend.I will comment below.

So I've been wanting to go here for a year.I feel like today I am really romanticizing my life.And I feel like, especially living in LA, there's so many things on my bucket list.I mentioned this to you a few months ago.Like, I feel like I thrive when I travel because to me, I can only do so much in so little time.And I'm like, I live in a beautiful city and there's so much to do.

I think I'm pretty much done with this room, which is crazy.

I forget the last thing that I vlogged, but I'm so proud of myself because I went on the treadmill for an hour, just walking, nothing too crazy.But while I was doing stuff on my phone, I was like, I'd rather just be walking and doing it instead of laying on the couch and doing it.So I was very excited about that.And then we showered, feeling good.And then I ordered some sushi because I don't know.I felt like splurging actually no because yesterday when Ashley was over she had mentioned like different things we could order even though we ended up just Cooking here at home and one of the things was sushi and I remember being like, ooh, that sounds really good.

And then we ended updriving.I definitely ordered way too much on accident, but that's okay.Also last night I started imperfect women.I think that's what it's called with Kerry Washington.And honestly, like so many thoughts, no spoilers, so many thoughts.

It's kind of like not what I thought, but wow, this view makes me so happy.
