Multiple people killed in shooting at Idaho burger restaurant

Three people are dead, including a gunman, after he opened fire near an In -N -Out burger in Idaho, USA, on Saturday, August 1st, sending panicked customers running for their lives.

What is happening?People are running from In -N -Out.

The carnage began inside the burger joint in Twin Falls around 2pm local time, before spilling into a parking lot and surrounding areas, in clear view of witnesses who recorded the harrowing scene.

We did see some commotion, but you know, there's employees everywhere.But we did see a couple of kids running.And then all of a sudden we saw all the employees and people crying, running towards the ICCU bank.We don't know the results of all this, but it's very, very sad and scary.

The Twin Falls police chief said at a news conference that the suspected shooter was dead, though he did not confirm the death toll or say how many suspects were involved.

I can also reassure the community right now.We believe that the threat to the community is over.The suspected shooter in this incident is deceased.He was nearby on the scene there.We are working, trying to ascertain his identity and the motivations behind that.We'll be able to figure that out in the coming days.

The police chief also told investigators they were still working to determine the final number of people killed and injured.because authorities were still in the process of notifying victims next of kin.According to the Associated Press, the local hospital said its emergency department remained open and was, quote, working closely with law enforcement and emergency responders as they managed the situation.
