What you're about to see is the best force wipe I've had in a very long time. With one of the biggest meta shifts the game has ever seen, an unexpected rivalry with a familiar face, and the craziest online raid and raid defenses that I've ever been a part of, this wipe had it all. Usually I play Rust with other creators, but this time I was playing with you, my subscribers. Since you're meeting them all for the first time, I'll let

them introduce themselves.

Hey, my name's Lutonic and I'm from the UK. I've been playing Rust this 2020 and it's mainly the only game I play. I do however like to play Minecraft or some black ops zombies when I get bored of rust. I've got about 5000 hours so I'm hoping that I hold my own weight in this team. With all that said, I'm really excited to dominate the swipe with a fresh pair of helping hands.

I'm 31 and I've played video games since I was 4 years old and haven't stopped since then. I've been playing Rust on and off since January of 2021 and have 1400 hours.

While I may not have the most hours, I do have all the achievements in both Rust and Elden Ring, so I'm a verified gamer. Outside of gaming, I love cooking, watching anime with my wife, and I'm learning to play the drums. Today we're playing with my subs! Huge meta update just came to Rust. You now need blueprint fragments which are only found behind puzzle rooms, elite crates, stuff like that. I've selected 3 subs to play with me. In my last video I announced that I'd be playing with subscribers.

I think I put together a pretty awesome team. So yeah, I'm really excited to get into it. And we have the god spawn! We literally spawn in the middle of the map. I definitely wanted to do more of an in-depth intro because this update is going to completely change the way the game is played, but I gotta join the discord and make sure we take full advantage of this insane spawn. but it wasn't our first choice in terms of location. We originally chose this mini oasis because it was in the center of everything we needed. Rust just released a huge change to progression. Workbenches cost less scrap to craft, but now require blueprint fragments in their recipe. Five basic for a tier 2, and 5 advanced for a tier 3. These fragments can only be found behind puzzle rooms or elite and locked crates respectively,

forcing people to explore more and having less of the grind focused on scrap. It sounded like a brilliant change, and one that the game desperately needed in order to slow down progression. We knew going into this that for the first wipe this update was implemented, we'd need to be surrounded by monuments to give us the best chance at getting a tier 2 workbench. So although this spot wasn't our first pick, it would still do nicely. It was time to see if this update fixed progression, or if it ruined it. I think we should try recycle when everybody gets here.

Geek, Tai, and Lutonic were those three people, and a big reason I planned this to begin with was to enjoy a wipe with my community while also trying to grow it at the same time. I have a goal to hit 2.5 million subs in 2025.

Eventually I started to expect his company, we officially started playing Wipes together, and he's even been featured in one of my main channel videos, which I really encourage you to watch if you haven't, it's one of my favorites. Ted and I were best buds. But then, everything changed. One day, Ted stopped showing up.

Our neighbors that took our original build spot, who we'll be calling the Oasis group here on out, had revolvers, and clearly a lot more members than us. They'd likely be the first to run all the puzzles in our area to get tier 2, so we had

to be careful with these guys. After I fell back, I used the jackhammer we got from Ted and farmed some nodes in the area in order to secure the outer TCs for this base, which, if you're curious, is the Prodigy by Spinky. With these down, we didn't have to worry about expanding for a while. After that, we headed to Mining Outpost, and Tarir made a big play.

He managed to kill someone who found a revolver in a crate, which now meant we could research it and craft them.

Now, normally at this point in the wipe with a group of this size, we'd have a tier two workbench already. But because of this update, there's a genuine necessity to researching this revolver as who knows how long we'll be stuck on tier one. We still needed a green card in order to start running puzzles and making progress towards that tier 2. So I made us some revolvers and we headed to the nearest gas station to see if we could find one. Holy shit. Hit him. Ugh, he's still running though.

ThatNaked is most likely purchasing a new monitor right now because his current one has got a hole in it. We didn't just get the green card we were after from him, but this poor soul also found a Thompson in the same room. At this point, we were looking so good. As soon as we have a tier two workbench, we would be absolutely rolling.

But since we were so delayed getting that green card, we were about to see the bottleneck in progression that this update created. These guys are probably just running this place on repeat, honestly. It is on, so it might be looted.

Yeah, I'm definitely a fan of progression being slowed down, but yeah, no, like just the puzzles not being there after like what six total visits to each one is pretty stupid pretty sad that's a bummer hell of a bummer my first negative observation of this update was that the key card rooms took way too long to respawn with hundreds

of different teams on the map all after these puzzle rooms it gives a heavy advantage to whoever is the first to loot it. This meant that one team in each area, likely the Oasis group in our case, would be running around with guns soon, and everyone else would be fighting for scraps. At the same time, this is how a Rust force wipe should feel. Everyone shouldn't be running around with guns within hours of a force wipe, otherwise what's the point of wiping at all? We were kind of enjoying this pace, but we obviously still needed this tier 2 ASAP.

Since we weren't getting any luck from Dome or Harbor, we decided to run to Outpost and buy ourselves a blue card straight up. This was really expensive with dynamic pricing, but since scrap isn't much of a grind anymore, we had a lot to spare. Now with a blue card, we could run Trainyard, which has a total of 3 blueprint fragments when you loot both the green and blue card rooms.

But before we had a chance to run Trainyard, a very welcome donation bestowed itself. above our base and i'm not kidding when i say that oh my god no way it's literally above the base where is that shit oh my god we need to win that like is it close like to falling or is it a while away still oh it's just dropped okay where's that python at because i kind of want to just use that roof because we can also get two blueprint fragments from that which means if we do a full train run then we have tier two there's a one guy coming from the water 80 it's got a boat come on be good come on airdrop MP5 saw custom fragments or what yeah too let's

go man and surrender when you get in base I want to see that shit yep oh my This airdrop was perfect. At last, we had our first blueprint fragments. With just 3 more, we could craft a tier 2. But most notably, we got an MP5, a SAR, and a custom SMG. All guns that we were willing to roam with right away. With everyone else still stuck on revolvers or even bows, we would be absolutely rolling

with these. The only catch is that we wouldn't have meds. But roaming with high tier guns was an advantage we couldn't pass up. crane closest to recycler. Yep. Okay. My god, m39 is going to shoot me. Yeah, one's 30 m39. I might kill him here.

That was one of the most fun fights I've ever had. Between popping off at the start and having impeccable timing here, we netted rows of guns, two AKs, and even the advanced blueprint fragments. I don't think I've ever had AKs on force wipe while still stuck on tier 1 workbench, but

here we are. Dude that was like one of the most insane fights ever. I haven't had like an experience like this on force in ages. At this point, we were ready for tier 2. So we grabbed keycards and headed to Trainyard. This time, both rooms weren't looted.

We got the last blueprint fragment, as well as a red keycard. Six hours into Wipe, we at last had a tier 2.

We now had all of the blueprint fragments we needed to make a tier 3. Which meant that moving forward, the rest of the wipe would play out like normal. As a 4 man, it took us 6 hours to get a tier 2, and 8 hours for a tier 3. As more wipes pass, I'll definitely get better and better at this, but from this baseline, progression has definitely been slowed down. We weren't even the first group roaming AKs, and certainly not the first group with tier

2. We caught up with the pace, and it even felt like we were in the lead now. I was very happy with how this force wipe was going. So I decided to fortify our base even further. Although the base itself was finished, I added some anti-siege externals to the outside. I'd been getting extremely tired of getting siege raided, which basically means that raiders

take over your external TC and use it as part of their raid base. Adding these extra externals will deter people from doing that. The Oasis group clearly outnumbered us, so maintaining our building privilege would even the scale. After I set this up, it was getting very late, so we all decided to call it for the night. Here we are. Day three and we did not get raided, which is so surprising in my opinion. I really thought that the Oasis group was going to try it.

I thought they were going to try it, but surprisingly they did not. And so yeah, uh, next steps then. I woke up the next morning to a disappointing sight. Our massive neighbors who live directly next to us didn't even attempt to raid us. I for sure thought that tonight was the night, but now they've missed their chance. Before heading to bed, I crafted just under 50 rockets, and we had every intention to use them. If they're not going to come for us, we're going to take the fight to them.

However, as you know, they have a lot more members than us. Their base is massive, and my team isn't experienced in raiding. Trying to take on a clan in a fully built base, online, was going to take more than the four of us. But that's when I remembered something. There is someone in this wipe that shares a similar motivation to raid this group as

we do. And that is none other than Ted. Throughout the entire wipe, we've been rivals. But since the very first time we crossed paths, we've messaging each other some friendly banter and some not so friendly But one thing we shared was our common enemy the Oasis group while we've dealt with them as direct neighbors and roof campers Ted has faced them literally using drones to drop grenades on their heads

So we definitely share a common enemy. Although we've been at odds this entire wipe, I reached out to see if him and his team would be down to join us for this raid. And Ted was willing to hear us out. Like the saying goes,

It took a lot of brute force, but we cleared out the bottom core, getting what seemed like their main loot, and slowly worked our way to their inner peaks, destroying their respawns in the process and cutting off any places that they could defend from. There were still a few doors that could have some potential loot though. Since we were being pretty conservative with our rockets so far, we still had enough It's so loaded. Look at all this. I'm not touching it. Okay, so you go up and you go back into like that.

Blowing these last few doors paid off because we found a jackpot of hidden loot. Winning this raid was enough of a reward for us, but getting profit? That was unexpected. With a box of gunpowder amongst so many other resources, this raid was well worth it. We won, but we wanted to make sure it stayed that way. We needed to fully secure this base, which meant that we needed to destroy a couple more outer TCs. I just had to break one final TC in order to fully gain privilege to place our own,

ensuring that the Oasis group wouldn't be able to rebuild here and locking in our victory. All we had to do now was transfer the loot. the final haul looked like. Now that the raid was over, we said goodbye to Ted, saw you ties, and Insodious, and continued our wipe. With no other goals, we decided to just go on a highly geared roam. That's when we saw that Excavator was being taken. So we headed that direction to counter. I hope it's still running and it wasn't just like one diesel.
