Hello, everyone.Welcome back.I hope your day is starting off just fantastic. You know, there's a mood of pride and patriotism and positivity brewing in our country, and it's gaining momentum.Don't let yourself be sucked in by the doom and gloom rhetoric and some of the negativity that's entered into our politics recently.Stay positive, even if you're having a bad hair day, like I am.

0:23

This sense of positivity is contagious and we're infecting the rest of the world.Reported May 24th, India is sending a trade delegation billed as the largest ever to Canada this week.Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will be accompanied by more than 100 senior business representatives from industries such as mining, energy, automotive, and aerospace.India, a country of over a billion people, sees the positivity and potential in Canada, and they're sending their top business leaders here to consider investing in our country. And it's not just India, reported here May 20th in the Financial Post.Canada is the world's most attractive market for infrastructure investment.

1:09

The Global Infrastructure Investor Association's recent poll places Canada the top of its rankings, thanks to a series of recent announcements by the Canadian government. That's right, Canada has surpassed the United States, emerging as the most attractive market for infrastructure investment, the very association whose members are the ones who decide where they want to invest their money.are choosing Canada as their top choice.Canada has captured the world's attention. In just one year, Canada rose from fourth place to first place in the global reputations ranking. This prestigious index evaluates 74 nations on economic, political, social, and cultural dimensions.

1:53

A remarkable achievement that signals trust and respect on the global stage. You know, pride, patriotism, and positivity is infectious. It grows on its own and it spreads, as opposed to negativity, doom and gloom that constantly need more negativity and doom and gloom to fuel itself. So it's not surprising that in the latest polling by Abacus Data, their question, direction of the country, the world and the United States, 47 % of Canadians say Canada is heading in the right direction compared to only 13 % of Canadians thinking that the world is on the right track compared to only 14 % of Canadians that think that the United States is on the right track. That's a shocking contrast in the way Canadians feel about ourselves compared to the rest of the world.

2:42

And my only question is, Why is that 47 % number so low?How could there be 39 % of Canadians that think Canada is on the wrong track?Well, a lot of that has to do with certain politicians that are spreading the doom and gloom rhetoric. It's all explained on this latest poll by Abacus Data. The question being, do you have a positive or negative impression of?And the only two numbers that matter on this whole chart, and this is just a shocking revelation, Look at this chart.

3:10

What are the two highest numbers? The highest number on this chart is 56%.That's how many Canadians feel positive about our Prime Minister Mark Carney. The second highest number on this chart is, shockingly, 44 percent. That's the amount of Canadians that feel negative about the opposition leader Pierre Apollio. Now that's one of the most shocking polls I've ever seen.

3:35

It clearly indicates that Canadians are sick and tired of the doom and gloom negative rhetoric that our country is terrible, it's the worst in the world in everything, and everything's broken.A total rejection of that. But another one of the most important numbers on that chart is 38 percent. That's how many Canadians have a positive viewof Pierre Paulieff. And that's pretty much the exact same number, 39 % that appeared on this poll that think Canada is heading in the wrong direction.

4:04

So this is one of the clearest polls ever. The numbers are absolutely clear. They're pointing to exactly the correct information. Those people that follow Pierre Paulieff, that think he's doing a good job, his supporters, those that are left, 44 % disapprove of him.The remaining 38 % mainly made up of separatists and the far right portion of his party.those who identify as progressive conservatives, that portion of his party dumping him, leaving him only with the far right and separatist part of his party supporting him.

4:38

And when you put all of this together, it's not surprising that in this latest poll by Abacus Data, this is the headline result here.Overall, do you approve or disapprove of the job the federal government led by Mark Carney is doing that 57 % of Canadians approve?up three percent from April. And so with this overall positive background, and you can't deny the numbers, the majority of Canadians supportive of what the government's doing, the whole world energized seeing Canada as the top destination for investment, top destination for tourists, the most respected country in the world. With all of this positive information, of course, Of course, you would expect that Conservatives right now would try and throw a wrench into this and bring forward one of the most divisive topics imaginable for our country. It's the perfect timing for Daniel Smith, the Conservative Premier of Alberta.

5:33

It's time for Alberta to have a referendum on whether it should have another referendum to decide whether it should separate from Canada and destroy the most fantastic country in the world. This is the perfect time for this discussion, isn't it, Danielle? There's no law in Alberta that says that.province needs to have this referendum. There's no mandate given to that government from the voters of Alberta in the last election that they should have this referendum. This is just her decision that she made on her own to put her province in Canada through this.

6:05

At exactly the most ridiculous time, when Canadians' positivity and pride and patriotism is surging, the world is seeing it.We're reaping the rewards of this. We're getting ready to negotiate with the Americans on our free trade agreement in the summer. At exactly this time, if you could have picked a worse time to have it, you couldn't pick a worse time. This is when she chooses to drop this bomb on Canada.

6:35

as well.thing that you remember the Walt Disney movie, The Sorcerer's Apprentice.I mean, she's unleashed forces she can't control. She's a little bit like David Cameron. You remember the British Prime Minister who said, well, we'll have to get through the day.He said, well, we'll have a referendum on whether or not Great Britain should leave Europe.

7:13

And he figured, well, that'll be easy to control. And it spun out of control. And Great Britain is now 8 percent poorer than it would have been if it remained part of Europe, and it's because of Cameron and his spinelessness.

7:26

That was Tom Mulcair on a CJAD 800 Montreal radio station interview discussing Daniel Smith's spineless blunder and comparing it to the Brexit catastrophe.

7:38

And yes, so they tried to nail down Pierre Poglieva and what he's going to do.He says, all conservatives will campaign for Alberta to stay part of Canada.he's spoken to, and he repeats that. All of the conservatives I've spoken to in his caucus. So that means that maybe he's not speaking to the ones who are in favor of Alberta's separation.

8:08

And of course, he's exactly right on this point.Pierre Paulieff has to walk a fine line here because he's the guy that chose separatist heartland to gain his seat back in Parliament after he was rejected in the last election. And his remaining support, as we saw in those poll numbers I showed you, 38 % of Canadians still support him are made up of those separatists within Alberta, where he's an MP.So we have these two, Daniel Smith and Pierre Poliev saying they'll campaign on behalf of Canada.Daniel Smith, who's causing this problem in the first place, and Pierre Poliev, who's been telling us all that Canada is the worst place in the world and is broken for the past number of years. We've already learned this as a country.

8:52

The political uncertainty surrounding Quebec's separation vote heavily transformed Montreal.Major corporations shifted their headquarters to Toronto due to political instability and strict language laws.Institutions like Sun Life Financial and the Bank of Montreal relocated senior executive staff or legal headquarters out of Quebec.Thousands of skilled English -speaking professionals and young graduates moved to other provinces.Local property values plummeted during the referendum eras, making Montreal real estate incredibly cheap compared to a booming Toronto market. It's already in the news cycle.

9:28

Reported May 22nd here, Calgary will be hit first and hardest by separatist debate.Political and business leaders in Calgary see referendum creating more risk for the city's future.Luckily, we're not alone.calm and mature statesman that runs our country. And I'm going to play this clip now of our prime minister responding and making one of his first comments about this whole Alberta separation question and how he answers this.I'll play it in full, not just cherry pick certain three or four second pieces of it.

Let me play you his full answer here. This is a leader.

10:00

of the referendum question that Daniel Smith has asked. How do you see your role in this debate and what do you plan to do to campaign for Canadian unity?

10:30

the country forward, but moving the country forward with agreements and with parties aligned. So finding that common ground so we can move. And that's what Albertans expect. That's what Canadians expect across the country. And I'm pleased that the premiers are buying into this and moving forward on a number of fronts. So that's the first thing.

10:53

And if I may just refer to my previous answer with respect to cooperation agreements, including potentially with the province of Quebec, that is an example of that cooperation. So that's the first thing. The second thing is, of course, being part of Canada brings many economic advantages, being part of our large market, being part of free trade agreements with 1 .5 billion people around the world. But in the core, it's more than economic arguments. And I'm going to get to the first part of your question in a second. It's more than economic benefits.

11:27

It's social. It's what we are as Canadians. So Canadians take care of each other. We take care of each other.our social programs. We take care of each other across different provinces.

11:39

We look out for each other internationally, and this is a time where it's particularly important.important.What do I think of the question? In terms of the specifics of the question, we have an obligation as the federal government to look at the question and determine whether it's consistent with the Clarity Act that is underway.Ultimately, if there are questions around that, questions about the clarity of the question, if you follow, that would be a role for Parliament.I'm not saying that's the case, but we're just in the process of doing our due diligence.

12:14

I will say, I will make the following observation, though, about the question. And it's, this is an observation from experience. In these separation issues, it is often advanced that vote for this and it's a free option.Vote for this and we will strengthen your, our hand in future negotiation. That is a very dangerous bluff. That is a very dangerous bluff.

12:37

I saw firsthand what happened in the United Kingdom when the view was, vote for this, it'll be soft, and then we'll negotiate, etc.And they ended up, and they're still 10 years later, trying to undo what people didn't think they were voting for, but what they ended up having.

12:53

So don't let the doom and gloom rhetoric and negativity bring you down, my fellow Canadians.Remember, negativity requires doom and gloom as fuel.to keep itself alive.Pride and patriotism and positivity is contagious and it fuels itself and it's going to keep growing. That feeling is going to keep growing in our country. So that's my positive message for all of you today.

13:15
