OUR TUSCAN LIFE THROUGH SOMEONE ELSES EYES! (And Welcoming More Viewers)

Last night we had the welcome dinner for our third retreat and we met everybody and yet again everybody is really really nice.We had lots of great conversations, everybody was just really easy to chat with and I've got a good feeling about this week.I'm really excited to see how it progresses and see which friendships are made and just get to know everybody a bit better.We're in the car we're on our way to Vico Pisano this is Pamela some of you will remember her if you've been watching our videos for a very long time you might remember Pamela because she has been in quite a few videos but it was probably quite a long time ago I would even say before Covid You said there weren't any more bumps in the road!I think the video that I always remember that Pamela's in is when we went to Ischia one year and we were on a little quick holiday in Ischia and there was an earthquake while we were there and we'd left Pamela and Skye on the side of the road standing by this big building and we'd gone to make a car and we'd gone to park the scooters and there was an earthquake and it was the most terrifying thing especially being separated from the girls in that moment and then there was a massive blackout so we couldn't see anything and everybody was screaming it was very very scary but that's all on video anyhow yeah i will i'll try and link it because it was a good video it's a short one but it was a good one last night went really well for me what do you think Carlo?

Honey, I was thinking, but we want to put the table outside in the same position as last time.Consider that now it's much hotter than the last time we used it.

And also it wasn't sunny that day, so we're going to need to be probably in the shade.

So basically tonight everybody's coming over for pizza and we're going to eat outside in the garden, like we did the first week.but there's 11 of us so we need a big table so we've got to get the table out of the dining room again and get it into the garden and find a shady spot okay so this room is great but one it is summer so we don't want to eat inside and two when the sun comes around that side which would be this afternoon this room is boiling hot it gets so hot in here so there's no way we can use it because none of these windows open so we've got to get this table uh dismantle it and take it outside again So this, the sun will be there, so this will be in the sun.So I think the best place might be over here.It's not, the sun is out until about quarter to nine at the moment.

It's not the easiest table to move around.We've done it before, now we know what we're doing.Dad said that we should leave the table outside from, what was it, four weeks ago, but we had to bring it back in here because we had to use it in here two weeks ago.So yeah, it's going back and forth and then it's going to have to come back in because then we're not going to need it out there until September when the weather might not be good anyway, so we'll just bring it back in here.

Today we're going to San Gimignano and Volterra.It smells wonderful in here.It smells of breakfast.Sourdough bread.Claire makes her own sourdough bread.Look at that.

I've been giving sourdough classes to people who want it.

I've got to learn.I've got to learn to make bread.It's quite an important thing to know.Anyway, today it's going to be very hot so we don't want to take the dogs with us to San Gimignano and Volterra.It's going to be hot walking around on the pavements.And the last couple of weeks my dad's been here to look after the dogs for us.

and he's not here now and we're going to leave the dogs here with Claire and this is a bit of an experiment we've never left them before they've been here loads we stayed here for two weeks this is where we stayed when we were first moving in and renovating the house so they know the property really really well they're best friends with Lucia Claire and Andy's dog and they should be fine but um just a little bit I'm worried that Holly's going to cry.I'll send you pictures.Send me pictures.I mean if they're terrible you can always, I'll leave you my keys, you can go and dump them in the house and just shut the door.Hopefully they'll be okay.yeah they're up with Claire hopefully they'll be well behaved they won't try and find their way home and hopefully Holly won't cry a little bit worried well Claire said she's in photos so we'll see it's her first first time leaving the dogs with somebody else in Tuscany you know the way do you want me to put it on your map do you know where you're going no give me your phone then Oh my god

A very sugary rum solution.It's my favorite bar in San Gimignano.It's just about 20 meters in from the main entrance, the Porto San Giovanni, and it's got everything you could possibly want in a bar.It's got the cakes, it's got the biscuits, it's got the chocolates, it's got the creamy, sugary things, and it's just a great place to stop for a snack.I always bring everyone in here.It is barely half past 10 in the morning.

They both bought massive chocolate bars.We're just wandering around San Gimignano eating chocolate.In fact, I'm not eating any yet.It's far too early for me for chocolate.Some of the group have gone off to explore on their own and the rest are just wandering around with us.We're going to just have a look around some of the shops, just see how we go, really.

We've got about two hours here.Oh, that would be big.

So I worked with the Acqua di Parma on the shoot for about four days, launching some new perfumes.And we did a shoot with all the models around Sorrento, and I never got to smell any of the perfumes that we were filming.That's the Arancia de Capra, it's quite nice.Can I have a piece of Chevrolet, please?One of the ladies spotted a dress in a clothes shop, so we've all come in here, and they've got some fantastic clothes.I've just tried these on.

And I absolutely love them.I think I'm going to have to buy them.What do you think?They're really lightweight.They're linen.Perfect for the summer.

Yeah, I'll get them.So our original plan was that we were going to give everybody a little tour, a walk around some in Jiminan or see all the sights and everything.But everybody just loves shopping.So we're having a great time.We're all popping into the same shops.Everybody's buying stuff.

Everybody's really happy.And somebody just said, oh, this is so fun.yeah and even I got a new pair of trousers that I didn't expect to get so we're all happy this shop is where I got my olive wood chopping board from and we're just having a quick look in here but I found us when I came here that they have one of my favorite things ever olive wood butter knives My friend Annika from Sweden introduced me to these and I find them such a satisfying shape for getting the butter.Look we've just found our friend Amayor playing his handpans over here.Now I've just talked to him and I've just got his contact details so I'm going to leave them in the description box for you if anybody's interested in buying his music it'll all be in the description box below.And they didn't know this was here They discovered these and started excavating them They realised that there was a huge amount over there They found another one and they're still excavating that one Claire's been sending us photos all day They've gone for a walk Indy wouldn't eat lunch from her own bowl So she would only eat from her friend Lucia's bowl But she ate her lunch And Claire said they've been fine.

They've sat by the pool for a while.They've been very happy to see us.

We had a really nice day.
