Premier Smith Drops A BOMB Carney had NO Idea It Was Coming!
Carney did not know it was going to happen. He did not see it coming.Welcome to the Canadian Shield. My name's Sterling. What political drama we had yesterday coming out of the Western Provinces, Alberta specifically.Danielle Smith pulled the wool over everybody's eyes and completely surprised Mark Carney and David Eby to the point where I am sure they're pulling out their hair and gnashing their teeth.
And Danielle Smith is probably laughing her head off.I know that if I was her, I certainly would be taking a victory lap.Yesterday, there was a bunch, a series of announcements from the various players in the oil drama and the environment drama.Mark Carney was on the West Coast throwing the condo buyout plan, trying to get David Eby to take credit for that, while David Eby was trying to get Mark Carney to take credit for the tanker ban, which of course, you know, essentially kills any Northern pipeline coming out of Alberta. In the morning, Danielle Smith makes an announcement, one of her first significant announcements, I'm sure it's going to be of many, of the natural gas that is going to be used to power the AI in Alberta.and to create a power station, which of course is something that is significant outside of the AI.
Natural gas and power stations are going to go much further across Canada than the actual AI generating stations. Now the AI data centers will be significant in many parts of the country, But the power that can be supplied by the natural gas to the various parts of the country is much more of a social impact. So she makes that announcement, then hints to everybody that she would be announcing later on about a plan that she's going to be submitting.to go to the pipeline out west, Skia, to the west coast. And everybody is probably, if you're even partially aware of Canadian politics, knows the drama that's been going on around that. However, when she made the announcement, she surprised Mark Carney and pulled the rug right out from under him and leaves him in a no -win situation, which I don't like.
is delicious.Let's dive in.
Beneath our feet here in Alberta we stand on oil reserves valued at more than nine trillion dollars. This resource wealth presents our nation with boundless opportunities.Developing these resources would equate to hundreds of billions of dollars in government revenue that could be used to support core social programs like health care and education, bolster Canada's national security commitments under NATO and unlock economic prosperity for Indigenous peoples. It would enable governments across the country to invest in the priorities that matter most while creating hundreds of thousands of jobs and driving unprecedented economic growth across the entire country. This is transformational wealth.
I thought that she was very eloquent and concise, and I wanted people who are on the far left trying to convince themselves that they should be living in caves, scratching out an existence and looking for crickets, or people that are coming here from other parts of the world and telling themselves that the far left has the way of it by keeping all of this industry in the ground and by telling us that we're not allowed to bend a blade of grass, they can now realize that what's at stake and we can stop.acting like a bunch of immature people who do not realize that the world is a place where people need to earn things. And when you have the most responsible oil extraction on the face of the planet, it in fact behooves us to try to dislodge other people's oil production. However, it was one of the next parts that I just, I think we should all take a good long laugh at.
I'm also pleased to announce Alberta's government is entering into a partnership with Trans Mountain Corporation and Pembina Pipeline.
Did you catch it?Did you see Mark Carney's face?Let me show you again.
I'm also pleased to announce Alberta's government is entering into a partnership with Trans Mountain Corporation and Pembina Pipeline.entering into a partnership with Trans Mountain Corporation, entering into a partnership with Trans Mountain Corporation, a partnership with Trans Mountain Corporation.
That was the very first time that Mark Carney realized that Alberta had a proponent for the pipeline, somebody willing to invest private capital to build it.That was the very first time that he had heard such a thing. And I think the surprise on his face is Excellent.Daniel Smith must just love the fact that she was able to throw that up into his face in the morning. It was the liquid natural gas.And then in the afternoon it was, oh, by the way, we have somebody prepared to build the pipeline.
Somebody that is not really intimidated by Brookfield. They have already gone into court with Brookfield over a merger or a hostile takeover of a company called Interpipelines. Now in the end, Brookfield won that in court, but they had to pay Pamina pipelines, I think $350 million. So they've already stood their ground against them and they're not going to be easily pushed around. The fact that they have a proponent and the fact that it surprised Mark Carney and therefore surprised all of the people that are going to be in Mark Carney's camp. And I'm sure David Eby is just the icing.
That is the, it's almost like the cherry on the cake.I mean, the fact that he didn't know it was happening is amazing to me.That's just like spectacular.Like let's give her a round of applause, everybody.Let's listen now to her next few steps, because When pieced together, we can see that Mark Kearney is in, he has nowhere to go.
After studying both Northern and Southern route options, Alberta selected a Southern route from Bruderheim, Alberta to a deep water VLCC capable port terminal on BC's Southwest coast. With the help of our technical advisory group made up of industry experts, we determined that this route offers the fastest, most cost -effective path to expanding Canada's energy exports. And make no mistake, in addition to the substantial new royalties generated from the oil needed to fill this pipe, oil pipelines like this are very profitable. The profits from this pipeline will generate billions in revenues over the coming decades for the provincial and federal governments and will enrich indigenous communities that choose to partner with us.
If you watch that clip carefully, you will see that Mark Carney didn't know that either. He didn't realize that they had selected the southern route and he must be pooping out a brick.Like, honestly, at this point now, Danielle Smith is in control of the room, she's in control of the situation, and she is doing her subtle best to punish the Liberal government for the years of abuse that they have brought down to the Alberta government, her doorstep personally, her family members, all of the things that the people have been slandering her online, all of Mark Carney's media, it's all coming to the forefront in this one simple announcement.Because not only does she have somebody who's willing to build it, she's willing to run it along an established line to a port that doesn't have the tanker ban.I think that is spectacular. And she wasn't done there.
And speaking of oil royalties, Alberta's government is also finalizing another agreement with the federal government and the Oil Sands Alliance to significantly expand oil sands production and advance pathways. The world's largest carbon capture and storage project.Doubling oil sands production is a big task.Doing so in the most environmentally responsible manner is an even bigger task, but this agreement will allow us to achieve both. Our oil sands partners will have the incentives they need to launch a super cycle of production growth in Canada's most valuable deposit of natural resources, and Pathways will make Alberta bitumen among the lowest emission heavy oil globally. We've certainly come a long way from talk of phasing out Alberta's oil and gas, haven't we?
Not only does she have a pipeline, but she plans to double the oil production in Alberta.Have we not come a long way since peopletried to shut down the oil and gas industry in Alberta? That was the knife, that was the twist of the knife, the last comment, because Mr. Carney was the world's number one cheerleader for shutting down Alberta's oil and gas.He said so in front of committee. He wrote a book about it.
He talked about it left, right, and center all over the planet. He said so at the WEF.He said so when he organized all of the bankers and all of the investment money in the Western Hemisphere in Scotland when he tried to found that, or when he founded that organization that the acronym is GFANS.The net zero crusader was Mark Carney and he wanted to shut, though he had pipelines in Brazil and in the UAE, he wanted to make sure that the Canadian pipeline was closed up tight. And because of the actions of Donald Trump, Mark Carney's whole entire thing has crumbled down around him.And Daniel Smith stood a foot away from him and says, geez, haven't we come some far since people tried to shut down the oil and gas industry?
And oh, by the way, not only is it not shut down, I'm doubling production. Now, at this point, nobody's even asking Mark Carney a single question. He is struggling to try to stay relevant to the whole press release. He's desperate to try to include himself in any of the Questions that are being asked.Nobody's asking him anything.

Get started freeIt's going to get built in a timely way Well, the first thing I agree with everything obviously the premier just said point finalize the route finalize the cost Additional agreements that will stem from the agreement that we have today If I may just all it's just something essence economically as well That was a little montage of him trying to stick his two cents into his mouth.
that she was asked.Nobody wanted, nobody was really asking him anything and he just couldn't take it.By the time they got to the question and answer stage, I would imagine that Mark Carney was reeling in his mind. She mentions that she has picked a southern route, so nothing to stop her there. She has her proponent, nothing to stop her there. She talks about doubling oil and gas.
So there goes half of Mark Carney's base. The people that voted for him because they supported the NDP, because he wrote that book, and because he talked about how he was against all of the oil and gas development in Canada, have now gone over to the NDP party. And any of the youth that he might have had, who told himself that it was all going to work out just fine, are looking around and thinking in their minds, well, I'm flat broke.I got no job.I think what I'm going to do is move to Alberta, get a job in the oil fields, because they're going to be building a pipeline. They're going to be building a power station with an AI center that is calling for at least 1 ,000 jobs.
And they're going to be doubling the oil and gas production. So somewhere in there, I'm sure I can pick up a skill in a trade and get a decent job.And just while I'm out there, I think I may as well just vote conservative, and then I'll be able to buy a house and do all of the things that young people like to do.I think we can say that Mark Carney's political career is coming to an end.Daniel Smith's actions have pretty much sealed his fate.Between his lack of wanting to negotiate with Donald Trump and trying to cozy up to China, wanting to put censorship all over the internet, and now Daniel Smith making sure that the oil and gas production in Alberta gets off to Texas levels or Saudi Arabian levels, Mark Carney will be faced with no supporter base.
He can't say that he accomplished anything because he has not.All of the people that had come over to him because they didn't want to vote for Jagmeet Singh are now going to go back to Avi Lewis, who was going to be beating the drum over the environment, left, right, and center. He's going, Mark Carney is going to have no victories to claim on the economy. He's got nothing.jobs that he can talk about. We are in July.
We're not building anything in this country, which means that we're not going to get anything started bare minimum before next March. So there's just nothing. He's got nothing, nothing that he can point to except for the development of the oil and gas and oil and gas industry in Alberta, which is actually the drive and the ambition of Danielle Smith. It was Daniel Smith that kept the fight alive in Alberta. It was Daniel Smith who went and saw Trump and everybody criticized her for it.It was Daniel Smith that went down into Texas and everybody criticized her for it.
It was Daniel Smith that held the line. And she's the one that is going to be given credit for the rebounding of whatever economy that is going to be coming out of the oil and gas.And all of the premiers in Canada are going to be looking at Alberta right now to see how they can utilize what Daniel Smith is doing to turn around the economy in their own province or territory, depending on which premier we're referring to.Mark Harney will become irrelevant. And so what's left to worry about is the stuff that has to be fixed from the federal level. And obviously, Mark Carney and the Liberal government, since they're the ones that broke it, can't be the people to fix it.
They'll have to be the Conservatives, because the Conservatives are the only ones that are trying to make sure that Canada has prosperity and has the things that they need to have a good house, cheap food, and all the rest of that.Mark Carney can't get anything done. The Liberal government hasn't done any of their promises. They keep stumbling and stuttering. And I don't need to remind you of it.I just want to showcase how I feel that this is one of the first, you know, indicators of the end of the Mark Carney regime, we'll use that word, because he has nowhere left to go.
He can't stop the Alberta government without exposing his, that would mean that he was being a fraud, right?Because all of the things that he said now,to happen, Daniel Smith has made happen. So now this should just be a rubber stamp under the Bill C -5.Boom, boom, it's going to happen under the Major Projects Office.Checkmark everybody.
Let's go.Here we go.Get to work. And Mark Carney is going to have to come back to Quebec and explain to them why he allowed Alberta to gain such amounts of money. And Quebec is going to be demanding that they, you know, it's just going to continue. And any minute now, there's going to be a referendum in Alberta.
Mark Carney doesn't want to be around for any of that.Mark Carney cares more about his reputation than he does about anything else.So the smart thing for him to do is tend to his resignation, take his millions, go back to Europe, and forget that Canada even exists so that, you know, just hide.Just take your money, go hide on the beach, and let us get back to fixing the mess.As I wrap, I would just point out this one thing.Julie DeBruysen, the Environment Minister, or the Natural Resources Minister, were neither of them, Hodgson, were neither of them were at this announcement.
Mark Carney didn't realize this was happening. He thought he was going to make a big hadoo about accepting her proposal. And Danielle Smith said, oh, no, I got a newsflash for you.He still has to go back to his cabinet and make sense of all of this.Julie DeBruysen's probably, you know, hanging out over at Stephen Gilboa's house and they're probably scheming on how they can campaign or picket or whatever it is that they want to do.But neither of the people represented for the environment or for the natural resources were at this announcement.
Thank you for listening.I'll talk to you next time.
