Edgar, Jay, nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. This is the PlayStation, pretty much brand new. I only played it like a few times. I heard that pop, I started smelling some funky smell. Yeah. Unplugged it right away, never plugged it back in since. I think it just might be the power supply itself. I'll open it up, see what it might be usual, pretty much clean fan. Get rid of this warranty stick we no longer need that, it's been over a year. I'm tearing it down, didn't really have much dust but we test out the power supply and it had 12 volts. I was like you know what I started

opening it up and I saw this liquid which means that's electrolytic fluid. The capacity here was blown out. Before I could work on it I have to discharge it because it can store up to 450 volts and I'm not trying to get shocked. So I remove the old capacitor and when I have it alongside next to the new one we can see the top on the left it's poking up that means completely damaged can no longer be used. So I installed the new one it's a little bit bigger it holds a little more capacity but it's also going to help. Put the power supply back together just test it out still had 12 volts so that's good. At this point just have to put everything back together clean up the liquid metal because once

I open it up I'm going to clean the liquid metal there's no reason why I shouldn't. Something like this can happen from a power surge could be from lightning strike that may have hit near the house anything within that or a failed component inside the power supply any of these can happen. We live here in Florida. Lightning sucks. I opened it up. This is the capacitor. This is supposed to be flat. Being that it popped up, that means this was blown out. It said the same fluid. This is what was inside that came out. That's what you were smelling.

So it was definitely this. This customer also had another PS5 he wanted me to clean for him.
