Republican's Canada Attack BACKFIRES Instantly As Trump Allies Lose Control

My garbage person of the week is actually a few people.It's the various people that are callously using an ongoing environmental crisis to push Donald Trump's donkey -brained war with Canada.So the first is gonna be this congressman, Tom Barrett, who posted this.So I guess he's flying or whatever, and he can see the smoke in the air coming from the fires in Canada.And he says, this was my view flying into Lansing this afternoon because Canadian wildfire smoke is pouring into Michigan.Do you think we should delay that Gordie Howe bridge opening?

until Canada takes responsibility and gets control of these fires?I'm glad that you asked.No, cuz that's stupid.The one has nothing to do with the other.What are you talking about?Have you been breathing too much of the smoke?

Because I think that you're in some sort of medical trouble.But anyway, it gets worse than just implying that we should shut down a bridge or whatever.And again, remember, The only reason they have a problem with this bridge is that a major Trump donor has another bridge close by and doesn't want the competition.This is all corruption.But here's what Bernie Marino, senator, says.I'll be introducing a bill next week to sanction Canada and the responsible Canadian government officials for this atrocity.

So now Okay, so we remove sanctions on Vladimir Putin.We also are removing it on Iran or whatever as part of the deal.But Canada gets it cuz they had a wildfire.Now, this makes sense to me because I'm assuming this is the first wildfire that's ever happened.So that would be an important thing to act on.No, it's just nonsense.

It's just stupid nationalistic, jingoistic nonsense.And of course, Twitter had a field day with these morons as they should with Harrison Faulkner posting out the active US wildfire count.There are 561 wildfires as of when he took this screenshot, with a massive total acreage of currently on fire territory.And Shishida reminded us that Canada has regularly assisted us in fighting our own wildfires,particularly here in California, sending their own planes and experts to risk their lives to make sure that our territory is protected and our lives are potentially saved.So thank you, Shishido, for pointing that out.

I don't know if the representative and the senator know that.and are pretending not to, or if they're as ignorant as their tweets would imply that they are.But they're not the only ones that are pushing this.Four Republican members of the House have written a letter already to Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada, blasting his government for not doing more to prevent the crisis.They're saying now, we might have to effectively invade Canada to put out the fires ourselves, saying we're done accepting apologies in place of action.If Canada will not manage its forest to prevent these fires, the US will look elsewhere and act on our own to protect our people.

That means our own agencies exploring direct involvement in cross -border fuel reduction and firefighting capacity.So that either means we're just gonna send our firefighters over there without asking you, which by the way, you can ask.probably accept the help or whatever.Why does it have to be so aggressive?But if that's not what they mean, what do they mean?That we're gonna set up massive fans on the border and blow the smoke back over?

This sounds like a call for an invasion to me.Now, for those who care, it is a big issue.Okay, major cities like Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Minneapolis have dangerous air quality readings.The smoke has reached New York, it's all over the place.And you can see right here, we took this screenshot right before the show.The air quality is a big issue across that region.

But this is not the first time this has happened, and it's not only Canada where it's happened.California regularly has massive wildfires.Texas has had massive wildfires.And the smoke from Cali and Texas wildfires, it turns out is as bad for youas the smoke drifting down from Canada.This is not about the environment.

This isn't about air quality.This is about brinksmanship.This is about Donald Trump deciding that we're at war now with Canada.And so all of them need to line up and find whatever stupid excuse they need to to justify it.What do you think, guys?

It really is just like he's like, I got to do stuff to Canada and here.Oh, look at them there.They're sending all their smoke down here.These terrible Canadian people or whatever.I don't know what he calls them, you know, but he just it's just like it's so ridiculous.This is this is weather, right?

These are you can talk about, you know, global warming and things like that, but they won't because they can't talk about those things because they're the ones enabling all that type of behavior.that contributes to that's why everybody is in the middle of a heat wave right now.I don't know what's going on in the rest of the country because it's always hot where I live.But I hear it's very bad in the northern part of the country.And if there's a fire going on in Canada, that is bad.And it's also unusual.

This is not normal.OK, I was talking to my cousin yesterday.She lives in Toronto and she was like, we never had these wildfires here.They were always on the west side of Canada.But this part of Canada rarely sees this type of thing.So it's all very unprecedented.

And the fact that they can't talk about the fact that the planet is on fire because of the things that we're doing as human beings to the planet.They can't talk about any of that.It's all a hoax.But they can blame Canada as if they're doing this intentionally and then blowing their smoke down to us as if it's not like we're a planet, you know, we share a literal landmass, you know, like, just it's so stupid.And I don't know, like, are even MAGA people like, oh, yeah, Canada isto do something about, they need to pay so that, it's just so ridiculous, I don't know.

And the frustrating thing is, so when there's worsened hurricanes, and then they greet like FEMA coming to help them out is like, it's the big deep state and they start shooting them or whatever.Or when the temperatures are hotter and then they're like, you're telling us to like lower our AC, it's communism or there's more wildfires.

And it's like -.So Ted Cruz was the one who decided to speak out about Mamdani asking people to lower their air conditioning.And he is like, that's socialist.They do that here in Houston all the time.Ted Cruz lives in Houston.This is a normal occurrence in the summer, okay?

It's the fact that Ted Cruz of all people's had something to say.

It is normal to limit the AC.It is getting hotter.The wildfires are getting more common.The hurricanes are getting worse.And we have tried to get you guys to take this seriously for literally decades.I would have worked even harder if I'd known that you guys were gonna respond so poorly to the conditions getting worse.

You seem more triggered by it than the rest of us, but it is going to get worse from here on out.You guys have no capacity to weather the climate that you're contributing to creating.So maybe we should stop the problem before it gets even worse.That's the final point I'll make.Thank you, Yaz, for your garbage person.Let's talk about the community garbage person of the week because 47 ,000 of you voted.
