Republicans FREAK OUT As Trump's Canada Attacks Blow Up In Brutal Boycott Downfall
Our President Donald Trump has no idea what he is doing when it comes to Canada, our neighbors to the north. So as he slaps more tariffs on Canada, he's inflaming tensions even further. And his administration is simultaneously crying about Canadians boycotting US goods. So we are putting tariffs on them, but we're mad that they're boycotting US goods. And they're doing it, it's obvious why they're doing it.They're doing it because Trump is threatening them, okay?
We will get to that response. But first, let's hear from Canadian Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford.He is the one who's pointing out how insane all of this is.
Donald Trump called on Canada to better manage their forests. He doesn't want so much smoke to go to the US.He threatens to put new terrorists on Canada if there's more wildfires. What do you respond to that?
Well, it's disappointing to say the least, and a message to President Trump is, if he actually does his due diligence, one of the largest fires started from Minnesota. And that's not a knock against Minnesota, because Governor Walz and I have an incredible relationship. You gotta remind President Trump that there's 3 .9 million acres burning in the United States right now.And if we had resources, We would send them down to our closest friends and allies. So you know something, rather than criticize and threaten Canada, your closest friends, maybe one day you're gonna need our help like you did last year, and we deployed the people.I get frustrated just listening to a bunch of rubbish.
My God, we're so frustrated to Doug Ford.We feel you, we're with you. We're all frustrated. We've been dealing with this for a very long time and with all of his supporters. But we had to cut what he said because it would have been a minutes long video. But he did reference the help that Canada gave the US with the fires that we had here in Minnesota.
And then also with Hurricane Helene and the Californiawildfires. And that's just off the top of his head.He also went on further on X saying about, he had this to say about the tariffs actually. He said, I'll never stop fighting to protect Ontario. If these tariffs proceed, Canada should respond tariff for tariff, dollar for dollar, okay?
And then on top of that, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was more muted in his response, but he did have a response. So in a statement, he said the country believes in the benefits of free and fair trade. And he also vowed to protect and strengthen Canadians economic interests. So we're gonna go back a little bit to what I teased up at the top.Because the Canadian ban on American made alcohol that Doug Ford spearheaded last year is really getting under the skin of the administration. You can see the headline there.
there, Ontario to remove the US alcohol from shelves after Trump's tariff announcement. And it's rough, okay?So just being completely unable to, it puts the American people in a very tricky position.Because we know everything that's actually happening, but you can't talk about it.Because Trump is just gonna get mad if anybody within the administration actually acknowledges what he is doing and how this is a very obvious cause and effect that we're experiencing here.So this is what was posted on X from the United States Trade Representative.
says Canada has maintained pervasive, non -reciprocal trade practices that have disadvantaged American farmers, manufacturers and workers. For example, all but two Canadian provinces and territories have halted the purchase, distribution or retailing of US alcoholic beverages and have not imposed similar restrictions on other countries. From March 2025 through February 2026, Canadian imports of US alcoholic beverages decreased by81 % compared to the same period in 2024 and 2025.I can't imagine why they would have done any of that though.Could it possibly have been because ever since Trump has been the president in this term at least, he has been threatening the Canadians nonstop.
He was going to invade their country. He was gonna conquer them, take them over.He was going to tariff them into oblivion, which he has done to an extent. And now he's mad at them for not stopping the wildfires because it's really inconveniencing us and the American people. This feels like a weird way for him to try, Elliot, to like be a champion for the American people. He's like, you know what, there's smoke, and the American people are not okay because of all the smoke, so I'm gonna go attack Canada again.
It's a weird way.We know that he's just trying to do more tariff stuff, cuz they made a lot of money doing that.he's still trying to spin it as a good thing for the American people.I don't know, it's weird.
occur and it happens whenever someone behaves in a way that is 100 % counter to their actual personality. So when you have Trump who makes his entire brand on being a businessman and he's gonna run the company like a business, this is what you get, which is really horrible deals that make no sense that isolate you from your allies. And I think that's what it is, it's reaction formation.Deep down, he's just not a good businessman. He's not good at what he does. And this is just yet another example.
stoopidI think, about it, particularly being alcohol. We already have online gambling that's legal here that's running rampant everywhere. And I don't know, focusing on the alcohol, I know there's a reason for it and I get it.But just symbolically, I think it's a little depressing.
Yeah, it is very depressing. And speaking of whether or not he's a good or bad businessman, he just has very different priorities than what anyone else here has, okay?Which is kind of what we were talking about earlier. And he just wants to tariff them again because they made so much money off of these tariffs.I don't know where that money went.It didn't come here.
It didn't come back to the American people. We were not the ones reaping those benefits. We're the ones who paid those tariffs, right? So all of our money that we were told was gonna come back to us, went somewhere else, okay?Because our lives are not all the better for it.And in fact, they continue to cut government programs that we need desperately here in this country.
