Rod Stewart receives oxygen on stage during Utah concert | The Morning Show
Rod Stewart has sparked health concerns this morning after requiring medical assistance on stage during his show. And for more, we're joined by entertainment editor Peter Ford.Morning to you, Pete. This took place at his concert in Utah.
Yeah, and it's significant to know where it took place because I think what happened, it could be related to altitude and to heat.He was performing in Utah, as you say.Probably the best thing to do is to have a look at the grab and then we can try and discuss what's going on.Have a look.Well it's sort of odd to me that he didn't kind of slink off stage for a minute and do it off stage.I mean obviously if you do that on stage you know it's going to become a story.
I do think the heat, the altitude might be factors. There's no doubt there's a chorus now of people saying oh give it up it's getting embarrassing and we have on several occasions in the last only last five or six weeks spoken about Rod cancelling shows.Last week, he did cancel a show that was in San Diego. Then, of course, we got the news that he got on a private jet and went to watch Scotland play on the other side of the United States. And that got a very negative reaction as well. But that, to me, is somewhat unrelated to this.
So, look, give him a break, you know, so long as people are turning up to see him and so long as he can still put on a show, which he can.I'm not sure what the harm is, but certainly this story is not good if you're trying to sell tickets for the next vacation.
Well in the past that you know a rocker would have had a swig of vodka or something, now it's just like a swig of oxygen.
Oh how times change.
