We're talking wingers.We're talking Cermini, first of all, actually.That's the big update we're going to start off with from Fabrizio Romano.Apologies for being a little bit late.If you are watching live, simply the World Cup, simply messy, simply, you know, history -making, great player and that's why I'm a little bit late, but we're here to talk about Manchester United.Obviously had the show this afternoon outside, thoroughly enjoyed it, spoke about a lot of things in the more relaxed environment of the studio tonight.

Maybe you're not maybe you're concerned But look, let's get straight into what Fabrizio Romano has had to say tonight and it does involve Chiomini of Real Madrid he's put a video out in the last sort of hour or so and basically what he's saying is and yet again, I'm an absolute bloody idiot because I haven't actually fucking put it on my list, have I?So I can't read it.What an absolute twat.

Does anyone know where Romano's...Has anybody put something out about Romano that I can just steal?I literally read it and then haven't got it ready for the show.Whole big update.Got it.Okay.

Got it.Okay.Basically, he said that Manchester United dream of signing Cimini as Casimiro's replacement.

He is seen as the perfect defensive midfielder with experience in Europe's elite and therefore he's the best.player to replace Casimiro.However, at this moment in time, there are a couple of obstacles.One is that he's not actually up for sale yet with Real Madrid.And then secondly, the salary is a problem for United's current wage policy.I think this is a really interesting update because obviously I think it's going to piss people off, but it sort of reinforces the confusion we face as fans from a football club that doesn't seem to know its arse from its elbow.

I think it's really difficult now to understand what they want to do with us as a football club.

They seem to be so lost in this world of generating shirt sales and tickets and hype that they've just confused the whole situation.We want we want Elliot Anderson.We want Elliot Anderson.He's a top priority.You're basically you're treating the people that matter like shit on your shoe.Basically, you're not being honest.

You're not.You're not being honest with the people who matter the most.Nine months of Elliot Anderson's our top priority to sit back and let him go to Man City.What's that all about?And now we're getting Tuominy is our dream transfer target.But basically, we can't afford him.

I mean, what purpose does that serve?What purpose does it serve to say, this is our priority for nine months, everybody get really excited, we're not doing anything about it.Or this is our dream target to replace Casimiro, but actually, even if he's available, we can't afford it.It's cruel.It's actually cruel, when you think about it, to let your fans think you're signing Elliot Anderson for nine months and then watch him go to Man City without doing anything about it.and then to put out there, yeah, Ciuomini's our dream, but we're not going to fucking do anything about it.

It's just weird.And I don't blame Romano, but he's obviously being told by somebody that Ciuomini's our dream deal, but the wages are too expensive.And you sort of like go, I'm quite baffled now.I am quite baffled by that.I am.Because What Fabrizio also mentioned is that it's very much a deal that United have looked at.

There has been conversations with the agent in March and April, which is something I know as well.So look, it can still happen.And I'm not saying it won't happen, but there's a very big chance it won't happen because we're already putting out there about wages.And you have to follow the pathway with this club.And as I say, Anderson was our top priority, but we didn't go for him because he wants over 200 grand a week and he's over 80 million pounds.So we just didn't do anything.

And Ciamini is now a priority, but he is on over 200 grand a week.So you could naturally think, well, we're not getting him as well.I personally think we can still do the deal.But why put it out there about his wages?Because his wages are over 200 grand a week.And ultimately, if this player is good enough, you're going to have to pay over 200 grand a week.

You will have to.You have to.You can't get these players unless you pay for them.You won't get a Casemiro replacement for 150 grand a week.You just won't do it.You'll get a punt.

You'll get a potential, but you won't get a replacement.So I think it's...to be very interesting to see how it goes.But that's the update from Fabrizio Romano about it, that essentially we have held talks previously.It is our dream target to replace Casimiro.He's not for sale from Real Madrid yet, and he's not for sale from Real Madrid yet.

I think that will come.But if that does come, the wages, and Fabrizio is right to signpost this, his wages are a problem.And let me read it back to you.

We got We can't afford Elliot Anderson.We'll do what we can next summer, but we won't spend more than £80 million on a player.We won't spend more than £200 ,000 a week on a player.We won't buy a player over 26 and we won't buy anyone until we've sold someone.

Why don't they put that out?Why don't they put the truth out?Well, you know why.Because the truth would lead to absolute chaos.

This deal's going to happen anytime.Two weeks ago, it was about, oh, this person, they're in the know, they're in the know.Two weeks ago, Mateus Fernandes nailed on, it's a case of when it could happen tomorrow.They're now coming out with, There's still a feeling United will get the deal done, but you've got to acknowledge the seriousness of Tottenham's late assault and it's the price and West Ham are making it hard.And, you know, you read these updates and you go, well, that wasn't your update two weeks ago.That was not your update two weeks ago.

Two weeks ago, it was Mateus Fernandes, Man United.Now it's like, well, I think it will be United, but you know what?They are pushing and West Ham are being a bit difficult.And it's like, again, I think we'll get Mateus Fernandes, but it ain't bloody plain sailing, is it?And, you know, whoever told those people two weeks ago, it's nearly done.We're talking out their arse.

I just I'd rather I'd rather get the truth.You know, I'm sorry.Maybe I'm a little bit old school, but I'd rather have the truth.I can deal with the truth.I think we don't get told the truth because they're scared that the truth will lead to protests and stuff.So they don't tell the truth to protect themselves.

But ultimately, you end up getting the shit anyway.I'd rather have the truth.I'd rather know we're not going to pay 200 grand a week or more for a player anymore.I'd rather know we're not going to buy a player over 26 anymore.I'd rather know we're not going to spend 80 million pounds on a player anymore.Because then I can moan about it.

Then I can moan and say this club's never going to go back anywhere with those types of restrictions.But we don't get told it, do we?We live it and we get told the opposite.

And it's sad.

And going back to the Romano Ciumini update, We need a Casimiro replacement.We need somebody of reputation and experience, and they will cost over 200 grand.week.I just hope Man United still have the ability to see that that needs to happen.

It's over here now.They've actually moved where the stadium's going to be because they can't get the land they wanted.So that seems to have been missed by everybody today.They have got the land to build a new stadium.Well done.But it's not where it was going to get built.

So all those pictures and all that walkway and everything, they need to do it again because it's not there.They haven't got that land.They've had to buy land over here.It's in a different place.So, I mean, it's not a biggie, but they haven't put that in the news.They've just gone.

Goldfridge says, Tumini is a mainstay at Real Madrid for years, French international, Champions League winner and one of the best in the world in his position.Of course, he'll want 250 to 300 grand a week and he should.Did the club just realize this?You know, the big problem, Goldfridge, is there will be people who go, it's early in the window.We can still sign players.And I'm one of them people.

But if people are starting to get nervous, frustrated, angry now, imagine what happens when Diamonde signs for Liverpool, Rodgers signs for Arsenal, Tenali signs for Spurs, Anderson signs for Man City, Such -and -Such signs for Chelsea.

It's all right at the moment because none of our rivals have bought anybody good.We're sort of like going, there's still hope.When all our rivals start buying very good players, this situation is going to get worse.And don't forget, if we don't want to pay the wage for Tumini, someone else will.If we don't want to pay the price for Diamonde, Liverpool will.If we don't want to pay the price for Anderson, City will.

If we don't want to pay the price for Tonali, Spurs will.If we don't want to pay the price for Rodgers, Arsenal will.And if we don't want to pay the wages for Tumini, somebody will.And that somebody might be a rival in this league as well.

So it's one thing to say we've got our parameters.But we're missing out on good players who are going to rivals because of it.And it will keep happening and we will get worse because of it.

Well, I don't want to talk about Buleba because I think he's had a shit season.I think he's a massive, massive risk.However, if we do sign Buleba, and all roads could well lead to him, isn't it funny how we're not getting priced out of a deal for Belayba.

He said, you know, the hilarious thing is they've got Michael Carrick as manager and they might think because Michael Carrick was a really good midfielder for Man United, he might be able to help rebuild that midfield.And the hilarious thing is, a lot of people felt we overpaid for Michael Carrick when we bought him.And in today's market, with inflation, Michael Carrick would be over £80 million.The hypocrisy is hilarious, isn't it?They've got Michael Carrick, and he's their manager, and no doubt they think, oh, he's a player that's going to help us get back.The only reason Michael Carrick is an X -Men United player is because we paid good money to get him.

We didn't say, we can't pay that.Every decent player we've had at this fucking football club is because we wanted them and we paid what it took to get them.Keir Robins says he didn't want to do that.I remember that.

Jid says, I hope there's a Champions League scenario next season where we have a brutal Saturday game and play PSG the Tuesday after.The window will bite them in the ass.Yeah, but we're the ones who suffer then, aren't we?

I don't want us losing games or being schooled or anything like that.Hi, Mark.Maybe I'm exaggerating, but if they get Tonali and Fernandes, it's embarrassing because it's like we only buy Bileba, says Yania.

I still believe we'll get Mateus Fernandes.I still hope we'll get Tuomini.And look, if we do, then we come through the window.not a terrible situation.

But what is not wrong, and I would say this to anybody that comes out and tries and protects this ownership, they put the stories out.

They're the ones putting it out there that, you know, they're looking at alternatives to Fernandez if he goes to Spurs.They're the ones putting it out there that they're worried about the wage of Tuomini.They're the ones putting it out there that they're not going to bid for Anderson.

We're not speculating here.We can get Mateus Fernandes, we can get Chumini, and let's hope we do.But we're not making up the news that we're talking about.Romano's literally just said the wages are a problem for Man United.Last week, I can't remember which journalist said it, but they said United haven't gone for Anderson because they didn't think he'd be more than 80 million pounds.This is all coming from them.

They're generating this frustration.Wherever we end up in this window, the frustration right here, right now is valid because they're putting that frustration out there.

Suraj says, delayed signing of Fernandez will be spun as a marquee signing, illusion of a tough signing, marketing gimmicks all the way, they will fool us.Jason says, how long does Carrick get?Way this window's going.Well, look, I don't want Michael Carrick getting sacked anytime in the first two years.I think every manager deserves two years.I mean, I was watching Austria against Argentina and look, they lost the game, but the way they play, the energy, the pressing, the passing, you know, Ralf Rangnick could have been the guy that built this football club if he had become the director of football like he was meant to.

We got rid of him too quickly.We got rid of Amram too quickly.We shouldn't have got rid of Mourinho.We've made mistakes getting rid of managers.So I don't want to see Michael Carrick sacked by Christmas.What I would say is..

he's an inexperienced coach who is going to go right in at the deep end when the Champions League starts.But I think this season is going to be a flip of last season.I think last season we came good in the second half of the season because we were playing one game a week and everyone else was getting tired.I think this season we might start well and struggle the longer the season goes on.It's a little bit like a marathon, isn't it?I think we might be OK to sprint from the start.

But the longer the race goes on, I think fatigue will hit.Anybody can play two games a week for the first month.It's when you're playing two games a week in month six.So I think that we've got quite an easy start to the season.We'll have the buzz of the Champions League.So I don't think Carrick, regardless of the transfer window, will be in any problem before Christmas.

It's more likely to be Christmas to May and missing out on Europe.So that's what worries me.That's where I fear for Carrick.It's what they give him this summer for the nine months.And I think we might start off well, but it's where we go.And look, as Leticle says, remember the Amazon documentary?

It's interesting that you mentioned Morgan Rodgers, actually, because Morgan Rodgers is a player that Michael Carrick, Jason Wilcox, Omar Barrada, really were quite interested in going for.And look, I don't want to be a hypocrite here.I think you have to be consistent.I'm not angry about this.But realistically, you could be because Morgan Rogers is the same as Elliot Anderson.He is the same as Tenali.

He is the same as Diamonday.The reason we aren't going for him is because we can't afford him or don't want to pay for him.So I don't I don't want Rodgers because as much as I like him, I don't think he's what we need.I want a striker or a specialist winger.I don't want a number 10 who can play on the wing.Historically, that doesn't work out well for us.

And I certainly don't want to pay 80, 90 million pounds for a player like that.But Michael Carrick really likes him.Jason Wilcox really likes him.United, well, I know from people I know at Villa, United were looking at it.It's off now because the price is too much.and he's probably going to go to Arsenal.

So it might be convenient for us that way.going for Morgan Rodgers, but it was a player that we were looking to go for again, that we backed off.So already this summer, categorically Diamonde was a high target for United, walked away because of the fee.Categorically, Elliot Anderson was a high target for Man United, walked away because of the fee.Tonali, target for Man United, walked away because of the fee.Morgan Rodgers, target for Man United walked away because of the fee.

So four players we've walked away from that we really like because we don't want to pay the price.Lewis Hall could fall into that category.Chiamini can still go into that category.Mateus Fernandes can still walk into that category as well.So there's a lot of that going on.
