Russia Suffers Total Defeat in Sea of Azov to Ukraine

Welcome back, Defenders.This is incredible.According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukraine has opened a new phase of Crimea's isolation by hunting seaborne fuel tankers.This is the article headline from yesterday, 48 Russian vessels hit over 5 days, and this is the article headline from today.Ukraine says it struck 21 Russian tankers.In total, over the last 6 days in the Sea of Azov, Ukraine has struck over 70 Russian ships.

What?You might think that's impossible.But Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces has been documenting everything.Every night they've been releasing the video.And at first I didn't notice, but there's a counter up here.This is ship number 36 being struck.

This is the compilation from two nights ago.We can fast forward and this takes us through ship number 48.This is then the compilation that Magyar's Birds put out last night.And this continues.We see ship 49, 50, skipping ahead we've got 68, 70, 74,75. The number currently is at

76. It's all documented.It's all there.The Sea of Azov, Russia's shipping industry, has been annihilated.And the pictures are making it online.This is taken either from the coast of Azov and the occupied territories, or maybe Crimea.But you can see for yourself the tankers out there burning after being struck by Ukrainian drones.

This tanker's on fire.This is a satellite image, and you can see maybe there's some leaking in the water.This is definitely some kind of oil spill.Ukraine is not trying to pollute the Sea of Azov, but they have to stop these ships from arriving in Crimea.And we've got some pictures.This is one of the ships that was struck by a Ukrainian drone.

And I mean I can show you some of these pictures, it's up to you.Do you think this ship is still operable?Do you think it can still load and unload safely and navigate the Sea of Azov or the Black Sea or whatever?This is devastating.Here's a video showing once again one of these inland tankers on fire in the Sea of Azov.So they're calling this the Azov Chainsaw Massacre.

And this was an operation conducted by Russia.July 1st through the 4th, large -scale loading of tankers began in the ports of Taganrog, Azov, and Rostov -on -Don.This fleet of inland tankers, this was supposed to save Crimea.The Kremlin, I'm sure, ordered all these tankers to go to these Russian ports.They diverted gasoline, diesel, and oil or whatever from other regions to help Crimea.This was a water, you know, bridge operation.

So on July 5th and 6th, the first tankers departed these ports in Crimea, heading for, uh, well they left Rostov -on -Don and Azov, heading for Crimea.July 8th, some of the vessels were struck.July 9th, more were struck.Why weren't these tankers entering the ports in Crimea and unloading?The reason is straightforward.The ports of Kursh and Feodosia have limited throughput.

They can handle only a few fuel tankers at a time.and unloading a single vessel carrying 7 ,000 tons of fuel typically takes 8 to 24 hours.So Putin was so stupid, he loaded up all these inland tankers, sailed them all at the same time, and they were all congregated in the same location.Like Crimea.unload it fast enough, but they were all just sitting ducks.And Ukraine took advantage of this opportunity.

This is incredible.So after six days of taking horrendous losses, the Kremlin is finally acting.Russia halts Don -Azov channel shipping, closes the Kerch Strait.Russia just gave up.They lost the battle for the Sea of Azov.They've just told all of their ships and tankers, get out of there.

You can no longer load grain, unload grain, load fuel, unload fuel in the Sea of Azov.That's insane.This is a huge strategic defeat for the Russians.And this is a huge morale boost for Ukraine.People are now calling this the Magyar Triangle, where things mysteriously disappear and blow up.Now why didn't Ukraine do this sooner?

And this is something I've been trying to understand or consider.But there has been somewhat of a maritime truce between Ukraine and Russia the last four years.Ukraine has not been striking commercial grain ships or cargo ships in the Sea of Azov, because if Ukraine did that, then Russia can start sinking commercial vessels going to the port city of Odessa.How would Russia do this?They would use submarines.They would either fire torpedoes to sink civilian ships, Or they can lay mines.

I've seen them talk about this on Kremlin state TV before, that a Russian submarine could just go to a shipping lane off the coast of wherever and then deploy mines that the ships won't see and then they'll sink.But if Ukraine is willing to do this, risk their own civilian commercial shipping, you know, at harvest season, they've done the calculation and they don't care anymore.Given that Putin is committed to calling up a number of,000 Russian men after the September 20th midterm elections, Ukraine's just going for it.And there's also the possibility there are no submarines in the Black Sea anymore.I can zoom in and I can show you their naval port in Novorossiysk.

This is the submarine holding area.And maybe Ukraine has nothing to fear.Maybe there are no Russian submarines in the Black Sea to disrupt or destroy their own commercial ships.Putin rejected frontline ceasefire proposal and rebuked advisers.Reuters reported that Putin rejected advisers' proposals to freeze the war along the current frontline and is preparing for further escalation.The Czech president warned Russia could announce mobilization after the September parliamentary elections.

Putin's advisers are telling him to stop, or at least take a ceasefire until Russia can catch up in drone technology, and Ukraine knows this is a trap.Technically, I think Zelensky is still offering an energy ceasefire to the Russians, but they don't want it.And that's to Ukraine's benefit.A ceasefire would be Ukraine's death sentence.This is what the head of Firepoint said, what many are afraid to even think about.So this is Dennis Stillerman.

He gave an interview.He's the chief designer for Firepoint.He says, for the first time in four years, we have a real chance to destroy Russia in this war.No one has ever humiliated them the way we have.And this is true.Ukraine is dominating in long -range strikes, their up -front drone wall, and these mid -range strikes going after logistics.

If there was a pause in the war, if Russia and Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire, and Russia took six months to regenerate, catch up in drone development, mass -mobilize more men, and then restart the war, maybein January of next year, Ukraine would be at a much worse position.At the moment, Ukraine has the advantage in drone technology of all kinds, and I think a ceasefire or a freeze in the conflict would not be to their benefit.Russia is hurting, and I think President Zelensky understands this.Right now, we have a window of opportunity.Ukraine has become stronger both on the battlefield and in the skies.

Everyone sees these results made possible.thanks to our warriors in the first place.I am very grateful to them.I think publicly, Zelensky has to say he's willing to do a ceasefire, but no, that would not be to Ukraine's benefit.I don't think he actually wants to do one.So there's urgency, given the elections coming up on September 20th, and Magyar's birds and Ukraine's unmanned systems forces are just hammering Crimea.

This is the Fantastic Channel Ukraine control map, documenting and geolocating where all these strikes are occurring on their substations in Crimea and just like with the the ships Magyar's Birds is publishing everything if you want to know the exact name and location of all of these energy targets in Crimea they're all listed here so this is target hit number 51 strike on the 110 kilovolt Berehove electrical substation if you want to go on google maps and find this yourself you can but this is transformer or substation 54 57 skip ahead here let's see this goes all the way to all the way to 60.60 transformers or substations part of Crimea's electrical grid have been destroyed by Ukraine over the last couple weeks.Crimea is never getting power back until this war is over, and I'm pretty confident it's going to be Ukraine rebuilding their electrical grid once they retake the peninsula.This is wild.Anti -drone nets keep falling.Russia's fuel tanks burn from Azov to Moscow.

There's so much going on, I'm trying to catch all the big stuff for you, but just know I can't report everything in a 30 -minute update video.But Ukraine struck some more oil depots.One being in the city of Azov.This is near Rostov -on -Don.Here's the video of this oil depot going up in flames and you can see there are cages and nets over the containers but it doesn't do anything.This is the optical mechanical plant in Azov.

This was also struck by drones and this defense factory is currently on fire.This is a fuel tank in the Belgorod region, also struck by Ukraine.Looks pretty bad.This is the oil depot in Tver.This was struck three days ago, but I just wanted to tell you guys this oil depot was still burning after two days.This is the port city of Taganrog.

Unclear what Ukraine struck.This is near the port infrastructure, but it looks like a pretty big fire in Taganrog.And then there's the Moscow refinery.Ukraine didn't strike it with a drone again.This refinery is currently offline, so I think Ukraine's gonna ignore it for now.But there was a fire at the Moscow refinery, so Either this was an industrial accident or maybe an act of sabotage.

Key Russian oil refinery halts production following Ukrainian attack.This was the Saratov refinery that was struck three days ago.Reuters is reporting that all operations at the refinery have been halted.And this is an interesting chart.I don't know what to make of this.This was posted by Alexander Stahel.

His only description is that he's an investor, but it doesn't say where he got this chart from.He's claiming Russian refinery throughput has now collapsed to 2 .8 million barrels per day, down from 5 .1 in 2022.And this currently lists the condition of all of Russia's refineries.So you can see here the Omsk refinery is currently under damage assessment severe.The Kurishu refinery is offline.The Volkograd refinery is offline.

Ryazan is reduced.The Nizhgorod Dnev is reduced.The Tannikov is severe.The Yanos and the Perm seem to be fine.And then you've got number nine, the Moscow refinery, currently offline.Pretty uninteresting.

It's going to get worse for Russia.Russia's gasoline output covers 65 % of demand, according to Reuters.So gasoline output fell to a level equivalent to only around 65 % of seasonal average consumption, meaning there's a 35 % shortage.This is what is causing all the lines and frustrations and arguments and fights, but given their scarcity, people are hoarding.It just makes the situation worse.What's Russia gonna do?

Russian regions begin odd -even gasoline rationing.People in the comments section have been asking why hasn't Russia done this yet.Drivers with license plates starting with an odd digit are allowed to buy gasoline on odd number days.Even with even.This isn't going to make the situation better.but it should make the lines at gas stations more manageable because they're still pretty long.

This video is dated July 10th.This is the city of Saransk and this person is showing how long the fuel line is for this one gas station.People are waiting in line for days hoping to get 20 or 30 liters of gasoline for their cars.Let me play for you a video of one of these gas lines.So this is a Russian couple driving around asking Do you know if this gas station has gasoline?And people are saying no, it doesn't, but we're still waiting in line in the event it gets refilled.

Benzin yet.I understand that.But this is just the new reality for many Russians.They're choosing to live in their cars at empty gas stations, waiting for the next fuel truck to be delivered.This is what this Russian man is saying.That's the end, friends.

I'd like to retract what I said in my own video from a couple weeks ago about gasoline, where I said you should come to Moscow for a visit, that there's gasoline in Moscow, you can findup and drive away without any worries.Then he shows the clip where he says, if you're looking for gasoline, drive to a luke oil gas station.Long story short, last weekend I managed to fill up my tank by sheer luck.Now a week later, I've been living in my car for two days, parked next to the luke oil gas station with an empty tank.I only have enough gas to start the car and drive to the pump.

I have no idea how long I'll be living here.No one's saying when the fuel truck will arrive.So put off any trips to Moscow for now.Bye, everyone.Yep, Russians are camping at gas stations waiting for the next fuel truck to randomly show up.And sometimes they do.

And these individuals get lucky.Such joy and happiness for 20 or 30 liters of gasoline.Russia risks losing part of its grain harvest as Ukraine's refinery strikes dry up diesel.Farmers in the country's southern breadbasket face fuel limits, empty pumps, and price spikes at the exact moment combines need to roll.This is the real story that no one's talking about.What happens if the situation does not improve over the next couple months and Russia just misses their harvest season?

Now, is there going to be mass famine in Russia?I like to promote this idea, but what would happen first is Russia would just stop exporting any food.They grow surpluses, so let's say their fall harvestis reduced by 20 or 30 percent because of the gasoline shortages, they're not going to starve.They're going to not export their own agricultural products to the rest of the world.It's going to be people in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia starving, so that's not good for the rest of the world, which is why there's more urgency that this war needs to end as fast as possible, but This is going to be a big story playing out over the next six months.

Here's Zelensky again.Paranoid claiming that he is in contact with people within his own inner circle and they want to stop the war I think everyone wants to stop the war except Putin because it's his legacy on the line He doesn't want to stop but Russia is not making any significant progress on the battlefield This is Magyar's birds compilation 51 and this is another three minutes of Russian soldiers getting droned These infiltration tactics are not working sending these Russian soldiers out in the open to just get droned day after day.This is happening close to a thousand times a day, and Ukraine's drone operators are becoming more deadly and more effective over time.The surpluses are so massive in Ukraine's drone army, Ukraine has thespare capacity to export drones to other countries now.Russia can't beat this.

They're just sending their soldiers to die.Let me share this crazy video with you.This shows a supply run or a supply road I'm guessing in Donetsk.So we've been talking about these mid -range Hornet strikes but that's not counting the vehicles that Russia is losing directly on the front lines.Now Ukraine is trying to solve this problem with UGVs unmanned ground vehicles.They want 100 % of their, you know, medical evacuations and supply runs being done by drones so that none of their soldiers die.

But on the Russian side, they don't have UGVs.They're still sending civilian vehicles or these Mad Max cars out there.And this is what Ukraine does to their supply vehicles, hundreds of them every single day.And they're just left there.Like, Russia doesn't have the equipment to clear any of these supply vehicles.They get blown up.

But every time one of these supply vehicles is blown up, Russia probably lost a couple soldiers.Staggering.Six wounded as multiple explosions rock Kiev in the early morning.Russia launched more ballistic missiles at the capital city today and Ukraine was not able to intercept them.A year ago, Russia fired 28 ballistic missiles in a single month at Ukraine.Now it's firing three times as much.

Close to 75 a month.So Russia has increased their production rate for their long -range ballistic missiles.At the same time, Ukraine is running out of interceptors.Ukraine is building its own ballistic interceptor for 700 ,000 per shot.Eight countries may join the project.This is being called Project Freya.

This is what Zelensky says.This is our Ukrainian anti -ballistic system.This project is an anti -ballistic system that should be an analog of Patriot in terms of intercepting ballistic targets, but one that is easier to mass -produce and less expensive.This is going to be a European model.Europe needs their own anti -ballistic missile technology that is good enough to shoot down one of Russia's hypersonic missiles.At the moment, only America's Patriot interceptors can accomplish that.

We've reached agreement with the White House on a version of the Russian sanctions bill that they will support.It means it's going to become law.So when I get back to Washington, I'm going to go with Senator Blumenthal to the Republican and Democratic leader to see if we can find time to move this Russian sanctions package that would give tools to President Trump to help end this war.There's some things we can do on the technology front to build on the lethality of Ukraine to protect itself from ballistic missile attack.If we did that combined with creating tools to punish those countries that prop up Putin, that make money off this war, then I think we've got the best chance since I've been coming here in the last five years to get Putin to the peace table.

Okay, so we'll learn the details of this sanctions package in Congress when it's introduced, maybe next week or the week after, and this could have been done a year and a half ago.Russia has not budged or changed anything, so we'll see.I hope it's good news, guys.I sincerely hope it's good news, but how many times have we been led astray here, so...But either way, the Russians aren't happy, and that's good news on its own.Here's the reaction of Alexander Dugin.

This is a debate saga that's been going on for more than a decade.Turkey wanted to buy Russian S -400 air defense systems, but also American F -35 jets.And the United States said, no, you can't have Russian air defense systems and our warplanes, you have to pick one.And initially Turkey went with Russia's air defense systems, but given how poorly they perform, Russia's now, Turkey's now saying, you can have them back, we would rather have American F -35s.But people are saying Turkey should not give these air defense systems back to Russia because they would use them against Ukrainian drones.It'd be funnier if Turkey decided to give these S -400s to Ukraine to use against Russian missiles.

One piece of good news I saw, Slovenia pledged an additional $50 million to Ukraine's Pearl Initiative.Thank you so much, Slovenia.There were other announcements at the NATO summit, but they're not giving specifics.details or the dollar amounts.They're just saying such and such country is contributing.So, every nation that was represented at the NATO conference who announced something for Ukraine, thank you so much.
