straight up told me, I don't really know what the best course of action is here because you are so early.We might be able to keep the baby in a couple of days and give you the steroid shots to develop Juliet's lungs.The bleeding might stop and we might be able to keep you here.But that's the information that we were going with.In my birth announcement video, I said like, oh, maybe it's a placental abruption.You should be coming in the next couple of days here.

Cause truly in our minds, we thought we had like 24 to 48 hours.And then they told me to go to sleep, which, Oh, and also, I had no pain.I didn't feel like I was in labor.I wasn't having, to my knowledge, contractions.The nurses kept coming in and looking at the monitors and being like, are you sure you don't feel anything?And I'd be like, no, why?

And they're like, you're having contractions.And they're like two minutes apart and they're pretty big on the screen.Like, you sure you don't feel anything?Yeah, we basically waited for the shift change and for my OB to wake up.And then at like 8 .30 in the morning, Andrew was literally about to leave the hospital room as the doctor came in on his morning rounds, which was simultaneous with when my OB was back office and he looked at my preeclampsia test and saw that that had also come back positive.

And then just as the doctor went to look at how much I was bleeding, I felt this really big gush and they said no babe you're having this baby right now the time that they prepped me for my c -section was the scariest time of my whole life andrew was not with me thank god for the nurse that i had that nurse was the nicest lady i've ever met in my whole life and all i kept saying to myself was mom did this your friends have done this loads of people you know have done this you can do this don't freak out you can't freak out the baby needs you and then while he was doing my c -section he said oh this was definitely a placental eruption obviously juliet was admitted to the NICU i thankfully didn't have any more complications after i gave birth.And yeah, I was discharged two and a half days after I gave birth.Juliet came home after three weeks and one day in the NICU.Definitely not the labor I would have chosen for my first baby and it definitely makes future pregnancies a little bit more complicated.Still my favorite story to tell because it's how my favorite little girl got here.See you tomorrow.
