Shipwreck revealed as Danube recedes to record-low levels

As we record one of the lowest water levels in history, a ship that sank way back in 1937 has surfaced.It is the Hungarian cargo ship Fulton, which at that time was transporting 50 wagon loads of coal to Novi Sad.As far as our older residents are concerned, we can safely say they don't remember the water level ever being this low, because this ship we found, which has sort of surfaced now, has never been this clearly visible before.In fact, we believe this is one of the lowest water levels of the Danube in the Apatovic area.
