You know that maces only do bonus damage when the user is falling.And this player wasn't falling.Or was he?I'm sure a lot of you guys know how ghost blocks work by now, but I'm going to explain it to you guys anyways.You can use a machine to create a block that only exists on your client and does not exist on the server.Since ghost blocks don't exist on the server, they don't actually exist, which allows you to do weird things like throw an enderpearl through them, or right click them to make them disappear.

However, this one -shot mace glitch doesn't even use ghost blocks, it uses inverted ghost blocks.An inverted ghost block is a block that DOES exist on the server, but DOESN'T exist on your game client.In order to abuse this, we're gonna dig out a 3x3 hole, and create an inverted ghost block in the middle.Remember, this ghost block is inverted, so this block actually does exist, but my game thinks it doesn't.And because of this inconsistency, I can go 100 blocks in the sky and land on this inverted ghost block.On the server, I landed on a block, but my game is confused because it doesn't think that block exists, trapping me in a state where I'm constantly falling.

And because my game thinks I'm still falling, that means my mace is loaded up to one shot the next person that walks by.Now credit where credit is due, I didn't find this myself.Shoutout to Kitsa on TikTok.After seeing this TikTok at 1am, I immediately hopped on my computer and logged on to the Strength SMP.I wanted to see if this would actually work, but I would need a test dummy, and when I pressed tab, I found my test subject.Okay, okay, okay, you're standing on nothing.
