Anyway, we've got a lot of positive things to potentially talk about and why not hope hey, you know, it's been a very negative place around United for the last three days and you know, maybe there's a bit of hope tonight, but you know what?Let's just remember we used to have Fellaini in the team and it used to absolutely do my head in so, you know, Let's not forget those days.

OK, let's delve into it with some of the news.We've got this update from Ben Jacobs around Mateus Fernandes involving Belaver and Sander Berg.We've also got this Bergwald transfer request.But I want to start off with Ciumini because I think that this is a good place to start.Jed says, how much do you think Bergwald is worth, Mark?We'll come back to that.

And that's a very good question, actually.We'll definitely come back to that.Thanks for being our first super chat of the evening, Jed.If you've got anything you want to get off your chest and certainly you definitely want it read out, put it in a super chat that will definitely get read out.OK, so on Tumini, the latest coming out from Spain today is that Valverde will not be sold.The two midfielders that are up for grabs are Tumini

and Camavinga.Real Madrid are also looking at Boadinho of Morocco.They're still looking at Rodri and Enzo Fernandez.Very good updates.Very good updates and very well researched by me because these are coming in from good credible sources in Madrid.

I also spent a little bit of time looking at some doing a bit of research.I can't really say where I was looking because everyone will go looking there.And I want to protect it.

But reading around, and this probably won't be major news to some of you, but reading around, the feeling, if I can put it like that way, is that Real Madrid dealt with the Valverde -Ciomini situation by, you know, basically positive PR.

They got hold of it.

They've got both players to do announcements, get to the end of the season and we'll deal with it in the summer.

The feeling is around Madrid that that situation needs to change, that Jose Mourinho shouldn't have to come into the club and deal with Valverde and Chiumini and whatever's going on there, that somebody needs to be removed.And that is still a feeling that's going on.Also, they do need to bring midfielders in.So removing one of Valverde or Chiumini naturally makes sense anyway.It won't be Valverde is what's coming out of Real Madrid.So, Tumini is still very much a possibility, a high possibility of leaving.

Coupled in with that, Real Madrid might buy two midfielders.They might go for two.That came out today.They might actually sign two midfielders, not one.So, if they got Buadi and Enzo Fernandez, or Enzo Fernandez and Rodri, or Buadi and Rodri,or they're even linked to Enmita as well.

The feeling is that Real Madrid will go for two midfielders, which means Chiumini will certainly be leaving.So that is still a very much deal is on for Manchester United.Now, let me remind you of the situation with Chiumini from a Man United situation.We see him as a dream deal.the club see him as a dream deal.Whether you do or I do, they see him as a dream deal.

He has the same agents as Mbuemo and from that side of things and the players side of things, if Real Madrid look to move him on, he'd be happy to join Manchester United.So this is very much a deal that can be done between Man Utd and Real Madrid and Turmini once Real Madrid decide what they're doing.

Now what you can't have in this situation is speed and that's going to piss you all off.We can't have speed.We can't have, let's do it tomorrow.We can't have, this is definitely going to happen at the end of the month or even in the middle of July, because France probably do quite well in the World Cup and Real Madrid do need to speak to Jumini and Real Madrid also need to get their midfielders in.And if one of those midfielders is Enzo Fernandes or Rodri, they're both playing in the World Cup.Boateng is playing in the World Cup and Meech is playing in the World Cup.

So unfortunately, Manchester United can sign Chiomini and there is a good chance it will happen, but it will not happen until August.It just won't.There's nothing we can do about it.And I think that will lead to some reservation because we need things to happen.But absolutely on this, it won't happen quick.It just can't.

The things that need to happen, it won't happen quick.And Real Madrid will want to get their midfielders in before they sell Chiomini anyway.So,that's where we are at with it.Quite a few separate reports adding into one, all coming in from Spain, if I'm being honest.Valverde will not be the player going.

Chiomini will.And that is if Real Madrid get their targets in in the midfield, which they are expected to do.

And it could be two from Rodri, Enzo Fernandez, Enmita and Boadii.And if that happens, Chiomini goes and United are right at the front of the list.

So look, we can all be negative.We can all say it's going to be Sanderberg and Buleva.

But the reality is, Tumini is seen as a dream deal for Man United and it's very, very possible.Now, what I will say is, I can be positive and say that that's very doable.

Obviously, I don't think it happens until the back end of July.And secondly, I can't sit here and guarantee and say it's going to happen.It should happen and it very well could happen.But I can't sit here and say it will happen because Mateus Fernandes is not a Man United player yet.

And why is he not a Man United player yet?Because the price is something we don't want to pay.And Tumini will probably want over 200 grand a week.

And if United say they're not paying that, then it's very difficult to see how that deal happens.So my reservation about a deal for Tumini will be he will have to be over 200 grand a week.But it's whether Man United go, we don't mind paying it for players who deserve it.And that will be the interesting thing on it.So encouraging news around Cimini.The exit door at Real Madrid looks like it is opening up.

It's just going to take a few weeks and then it will be down to United as to whether they follow it up with genuine interest for what they've described as a dream deal.I understand the doubters who say, well, hold on a minute.For nine months, we said Anderson was our priority.Here he is available.we're going, we're not going to pay for it.Why would we trust United not to do it again?

I can't control that.You can't control that.What I can control is that there is a very high likelihood that Chiumini will be available this summer.What we can't control is whether Man United will go and do the deal.

So the next big story to talk about today, and I don't know whether Man United come into this or not.I really don't know whether Man United come in for this or not, but came out today from David Ornstein.So very, very, very, very, very credible that Birkbell has told Tottenham he wants to leave.

and he wants a new challenge elsewhere.20 years of age.Other Premier League clubs and the European clubs are aware and Tottenham will now assess the situation.

He's under contract till 2031.

Why didn't you tell us?We could have talked about that last night and then we could talk about Deleu being a striker again.Anyway, sorry for that.But I just think I see people arguing in the live chat and most of the time they're arguing because of people like that.

And it's like, I don't really want to remove people from the chat, especially when they've been part of it for a long time.But, you know, I think sometimes just take a chill pill and calm down.Myself as well.But look, talking about Bergweld, clearly there's a transfer request.there if David Ornstein is talking about it.

He's only 20 years of age, five years left on his contract.No indication that Man United are going to go for him.

But positivity, as I said, lots of developments around Real Madrid today and that exit door for Tuomini is certainly opening up and we need to be there to say, come to Man United, I agree.

But with Bergweld, is there a scenario where we can do something there?Is there?Because I don't know what the price would be.Jed makes a very good point.I don't know what the price would be, but he hasn't played loads for Spurs.I look at Bergweld and I've always said this to you.

I think Bergweld is a fantastic talent with lots of Premier League experience that hasn't actually materialised into the player I think he should be.If he was playing for Brighton, I genuinely think he has the potential to be a £100 billion player.I think United should look at it.I do.I think Man United should look at it.I just don't know where it fits in and I don't think we will.

But he is, in my opinion, borderline Premier League proven from what I've seen.He has had a couple of injuries.I completely agree about that.I like him.I think he's a good player.I was doing That's Football earlier and obviously not everybody in there is a Man United fan.

And there was about three or four Liverpool fans saying we should go and sign him.So he's not like a niche player.I think those people who've watched him, and I include myself in that, I really like him.I've always thought he was a good player.I think Vuskovic and Bergweld at Spurs are really good players who are both very young with huge potential to be a lot better.It doesn't look like he wants to play for Spurs or Deserby and it doesn't look like Deserby wants to use him.

if he's going to sign Tonali and Fernandes.So I think something can be done there.The problem is, I don't think we will.

And the other problem is, well, the other problem is if we get Mateus Fernandes and Chiomini, we don't need to do it.Now, I suppose that's a bit of an if, but I like him.I like him.I think he's a good player.And if I was Man United, I'd be looking at it.And yes, he definitely is a Man United fan, because I remember when I used to do my FIFA streams and stuff, he used to follow me and then he signed for Spurs and he unfollowed me.

But he's definitely a Man United fan and I've seen the pictures of it today.But look, you know what?There's been enough bad news over the last few days about we're not going for Tonali, we're not going for Diamonde, we're not going for Anderson, we're not going for Hall.All these updates in the last few days.

And there, a player who is a midfielder, who I like, is basically available?Now, absolutely no.Man United are not in for him at the moment, but it's only just come out that he is actually available.Now, could that develop into something?Well, look, we're going to talk about what Ben Jacobs has said about Berg and Buleba.And honestly, you know, if we're looking at Berg and we're looking at Buleba as options, if we don't get Mateus Fernandes, then we absolutely should be looking at Bergweld.

That's my thought process.I agree.We've got Edison.If we get Fernandes and we get Cermini, we don't need four midfielders.I'd be very happy with those three.But if we mess up any of those deals and we have to go look at...

What I'm basically saying is, if we don't get Cermini or Fernandes and we start looking at Baleba and Berg, I'd look at Bergwald ahead of those every day of the week.Every day of the week.And funnily enough, I did put that out as a live chat poll before the start of the stream.Bergwalt or Buleba either or.74 % Bergwalt, 26 % Buleba.

So, you know, look, I don't know whether it leads into something, but as I say, in a market where we've been a bit fed up with some of the updates over the last week, a decent midfielder walking into the market is good, isn't it?

You know, if you are, if you're an all -you -can -eat take, all -you -can -eat buffet and you know, by the time you get there, some of the dishes you like have run out.And then they go, but we've got this new dish here.You've got more options, haven't you?That's the way I look at it.

Goldfridge says the only way we sign Bergbel is if Fernandes chooses Spurs.We can't be that club.Perception is important.Oh, yes.Wow, you know what?I'm surprised they haven't thought about that.

I mean, yeah, I sort of get what you mean.Yeah.Club politics.Would Spurs, Salahs, Bergweld if we get Mateus Fernandes because they want Mateus Fernandes?No.

I want to talk about that next, but let me just catch up on a couple of the chats.We should go for Chumini and Camavinga.That's centre midfield and left back sorted.Better than West Ham, perhaps maybe similar price too, says Sean.I don't really see Camavinga as a left back, though.

You know, Tonali shouldn't be going to Spurs.He should be coming to Man United.Elliot Anderson shouldn't be going to Man City.He should be coming to us.Liverpool shouldn't be bidding for Diamonde.We should be.

He had a groin injury that kept him out for a week.Concussion that kept him out for three weeks.And then he had an ankle injury at the end of the season before.

I mean, it's not bad.

It's not bad.To be fair, those sort of injuries, the groin injury was a week.The concussion is concussion.Anyone can get that.That's three days.In fact, I remember that concussion.

Do you remember?It was it was quite a bad, bad one.I remember that.And then he had an ankle sprain.It's not.He picked up, he was out a few times for spurs last season but then I don't think there's anything a good medical wouldn't, you know.

I don't think it would be a problem.I really don't, in my opinion.I don't think we'll go external for any other midfielder anyway, unless it's Tumini.I don't think we're going to buy two midfielders that haven't played in the Premier League.I don't know how Spurs could charge more than that.I don't even know whether they'd get 40, because...

The record's just not there.He's only 20 years of age.He's played 50 games for Spurs.Don't think they paid a lot of money for him.

This afternoon, a few aggregators put out a story today that basically were inaccurate.What it basically said was that Manchester United

have Mateus Fernandes as their number one target, their top midfielder.But talks with West Ham are tough.

Now, let me get the wording right on this because it's really, really, really important.It said that the talks are tough and a major hurdle, the 80 to 85 million pound fee.

United are now assessing alternatives with Berg and Buleba both under consideration.

I'd not heard this before.So I was watching the Spain game.It's not been given, it's offside.Still 0 -0.And so I said to our producer, Greg, I said, can you get in contact with Ben and find out whether he said that?So he got in contact with Ben and Ben said, I haven't done an article about that today.

So I don't know why that's coming out today.And I haven't said tough or major hurdle.So Greg said to Ben, so what are you saying?And he said, well, basically, somebody's lifted that from your show on Thursday that I did with you because I haven't said anything new.

But what he did say is, and you can quote this, Man United have made Fernandes their top midfield target, but with talks with West Ham ongoing, the 80 to 85 million valuation is obviously what West Ham have set and talks are ongoing.

United are therefore assessing alternatives if they can't get a deal done.Sanderberg, Baleba, both under consideration and Alex Scott.So, Ultimately, that sort of was what Ben said on Thursday.

I don't know why certain aggregators are adding words into it and passing it off as new news today.Probably because it's Sunday and not a lot's going on.So you may have seen that Ben Jacobs updateand gone, oh, well, you know, it's all new.We've spoken to Ben.He hasn't put anything new out.

He thinks that update is from what he said on Thursday.But we've gone to him and said, well, look, let's get some clarity on it because some people are putting out as if it's today.And what he's saying is United want Mateus Fernandes.West Ham want 80 to 85 million pounds.United are looking at alternatives.if they don't get that deal done, Sanderberg, Carlos Belaver and Alex Scott.

But what he did say is Man United haven't abandoned Mateus Fernandes talks.They still want Mateus Fernandes.they are assessing alternatives if that deal doesn't happen for whatever reason, because obviously West Ham are asking for 80 to 85 million pounds.So that's the situation.Look, this happens a lot.There are certain aggregators out there that on a slow day will go back to an Ornstein or Romano or Ben Jacobs or Athletic article from four days ago, find something from it and just regurgitate it because it gets clicks.

So it wasn't actually anything that was brand new, but in doing what we're meant to do, which is going and finding out, it is an update of today that basically was set on Thursday with a little bit more.So Ben said to us that, yes, Belaver, Berg and Scott are alternative options if Fernandes doesn't happen.But United aren't in a situation where they see it as a barrier or tough.They're in negotiations.So, yeah.That's where we are.

And I would add Bergbel into that, hopefully.Oh, God, the chalkboard's back again.Yeah, I would add Bergbel into that.Obviously, I don't want Belayba.I don't want Sanderberg.And can I just say, I didn't want Sanderberg a few years ago, and people said you were wrong.

And maybe I was, but I don't want Sanderberg now, who is going to be 29.season.

I don't want Sanderberg now because I've got Edison.I've got Edison, haven't I?

So I don't need Sanderberg.I thought, and I thought we all agreed with this, we need a Tyler Adams, Jao Gomes, Edison, Sanderberg type midfielder.We need an Alex Scott, Bergvall, Mateus Fernandes type midfielder.And we need a Chiomini, Tenali, Anderson type midfielder.There's three steps to the midfielders we need.Sanderberg's an Edison midfielder.

I don't need a Sanderberg.Tyler Adams is an Edison type midfielder.I don't need a Tyler Adams.

So if we don't get Mateus Fernandes, we should go for Birkbell or Alex Scott.That's what I think we should do.Belayba, I genuinely will say this again, as calm as you like, I don't know why we're linked to Belayba.

He's been fucking shit all season.He gets benched for 40 -year -old James Milner.

I don't know why we're even looking at him.But look, I can't control it.You can't control it.However, the Mateus Fernandes deal is not dead.We are still, in my opinion, leading the race.And we are still, in my opinion, the favourites to win this race.

I thought Swedish Rumble put a very good tweet out today.And what he said was, what is George Mendez involvement in this deal?Is he getting a fee from Tottenham?Because you look at that West Ham deal.West Ham have got to sell.players.

They've been relegated.They might not get promoted.West Ham can't get relegated from the Premier League in that stadium and go, everything's fine.They've got to sell.somebody.And Mateus Fernandes is their biggest asset.

I think that this Spurs interest is to get us to pay a price we don't want to pay.I don't think Spurs really want Mateus Fernandes and Tonali.I might be wrong, but I don't think they really do.And I don't think they can win that race.

But if they're not in the race and Real Madrid aren't in the race and Arsenal aren't in the race and PSG aren't in the race, then there is nobody else in the race.And we can play hardball for a few weeks and we can get him lower.

So I do sort of look at it and go, is something going on with George Mendes and Spurs and Mateus Fernandes to try and get us to pay more?Maybe, maybe there is, maybe there isn't, because I sort of do.I'm just going to say it.I like Mateus Fernandes, but I don't understand why he's costing anything more than 55 million.I really don't.I remember talking about this in April.

And I remember many of you saying, if West Ham get relegated, Mateus Fernandes is 50 million tops.And you're right.You're absolutely right.So tell me how his price has gone up to 85 million.It's almost like they want to rinse us.And to do that, they need someone to facilitate it.

Now, is George Mendez facilitating rinsing Man United by getting Spurs involved?I don't know.Jose Mourinho is George Mendez's client.Real Madrid want him.It just feels a little bit like there's a bit of something going on to try and get a bigger price out of us.Because He was a £50m player at the end of the season, and now suddenly he's an £85m player.

Whether it's called the Man United tax or whether it's called trying to rip people off for a player that's not worth it, I don't know.

But what stuns me is that, look, Mateus Fernandes is a very good player, but he's been relegated by West Ham.He ain't worth more than £50m.And suddenly it's £85m.And I'm like, the valuation is stupid.And in no way, shape or form are you or I criticising the talent of Mateus Fernandes.Look, I've just said Bergweld's worth £40 million.

I'd still buy him.I think he's a good player.I think Mateus Fernandes is a very good player.But we are buying a 21 -year -old who isn't the finished article, who's been relegated two times in the last two seasons.£85 million.You know, the more I think about it, the more I think, this is fucking stupid.

It is stupid.What I will say is, if we really, really want him, I'd rather us get him than walk away.But I'll put my hands up.£65 million is overpaying.£70 million is definitely...I think he's a £50 million player.

The problem is West Ham paid £40 a year ago.And you know what West Ham are doing?George, George, we paid 40 million pounds a year ago.If we sell him for 50, we make a 10 million pound profit and Southampton get some of that.They're just trying to bump the price up because they paid 40 for him a year ago.But absolutely, I think it's important.

I'm not defending Wilcox, I'm not defending Ineos or the Glazers, but his price went from 50 to 85 million for no reason.Absolutely no reason.He was a 50 million pound player at the end of the year, end of the season.And then suddenly it was 85.That's like a, that's nearly a bloody, that's a bloody 70 % increase in price just because West Ham say so.And I'm like, he ain't an 85 million pound player.

He's not.But how we get that price down, look, as Swedish Rumble says, you don't know the role of George Mendes.Is George Mendes getting commission on the transfer fee?

George Mendez is a super agent.If he's doing the work for West Ham to get that price up, then, you know, that's problematic, isn't it?And people say, well, he should be working for United, but maybe we maybe we don't want to pay George Mendez as much as West Ham want to pay George Mendez.He will be getting he'll be getting coin out of this one way or another.So, look, I want us to sign him.I think we can sign him.

But let's not lose sight of the fact that his price is extortionate.Doesn't mean we shouldn't sign him.But look, Lewis Hall, I don't think we'll sign Lewis Hall, but as an example, I want Lewis Hall.I think he's worth £60 million, maximum.if we signed him for a hundred million We've been rinsed still like the player still want us to sign him, but we have been rinsed So look, we'll have to wait and see how it happens I think a lot of people want to know how quickly this this met this Fernandez deal will happen and the honest answer is I don't know I don't know but we are dealing with a very strange situation a very strange situation because He is overpriced and his price went from 50 to 85 for no reason.George Mendez is involved, Real Madrid are involved and now Tottenham are involved.

And it's almost like watching a film that doesn't make any sense.The components don't make sense.Spurs are out here bidding 90 million pounds for Tonali and then they're saying they're going to bid 75 for Fernandez.It doesn't make any sense to me.Spurs finished fourth from bottom, surely have financial issues.and are going to drop £165 million on Mateus Fernandes and Tonali willingly.

Because that's the story.If Mateus Fernandes agrees personal terms with Spurs, they're going to offer £75 million.And you sort of like go, when did Spurs become Man City?Like, how has that happened?

So I just...Look, you'll be very careful what you say.You'll be very careful what you say because it can come back and bite you on the arse.

But logically, this just stinks.It stinks.I've watched a lot of football.I've watched a lot of transfer windows.This stinks.This is, you know, in football, you've never seen everything.

You've seen a lot, but you think you've seen it all and you haven't.You've never seen everything.Tottenham going for Tonali and Fernandes at the prices they're going for them is strange.It's almost like they're a decoy.I don't believe they're going for Tonali and Fernandes.I don't believe they're going to drop 75 million pounds on Mateus Fernandes and 90 on Tonali.

I just don't believe it.It feels like a decoy.But maybe I'm wrong.

It feels like to me, we know we can get West Ham down to the right price, maybe 50, maybe 55.But it feels like there's other people helping West Ham bump that price up.And the answer has to be why.Why would you help West Ham get that price up?Commission.It's got to be commission, hasn't it?

Why would you help West Ham get another 20, 30 million pounds for Mateus Fernandes?And I tell you what, totally and utterly fantasy here.But if Bournemouth said to me, Alex Scott wants to leave, Man United want him and no one else does.We've got to get that price up to £70m and United are only going to offer £50m.Can you help us, Mark?I'd say, yeah, OK.

If you'd have asked me at Italia 90, England winning the World Cup or Man United winning the league.Now, considering Man United hadn't won the league in my lifetime at that point, we hadn't won it since 68, I would have said England winning the World Cup because I was 10 and international football felt bigger.Now, Man United is more important to me than England.So I'd like to see England winning the World Cup, but I'd rather we won the Premier League.And that's genuine.I do want England to win, but I don't feel attached to England as a football team.

I haven't felt attached to England as a football team since 2006.I think that was the last tournament where, that was where the passion died, really, because Italia 90 sparked it.France 98, Beckham.2002, Beckham.2006, Rooney.They were my prime England obsession years.

Man United comes way first, way first for me, yeah.Days of Thunder's a good summer movie, Stuart S., but very good, very good shout.
