He never pointed the finger.He never threw anybody under the bus.And we have to realize this.Jaylen Bronson has been counted out his entire life.Even when he was in high school, he was too small.And all of a sudden, you watch Jay Wright go take a gamble on him and go get him.

And he goes to Villanova and win championships over there.And now all of a sudden, when he arrived in New York City, the criticism that hereceived, that the organization received, because they wanted other superstars, and how he has embraced and embodied this situation.And to go on the road, on this stage, with millions of people watching, and you have to close out a game, and you drop a 45 -piece wing down to all flats, and you come through in the fourth quarter, And we're talking about David versus Goliath and he come out victorious on this stage because he's about to win finals MVP.I can't say anything more about Jalen Brunson.He is a bonafide superstar in his league and he just entered in my opinion, top 75 greatest player of all time.

Well, and not just a great player in terms of Knicks history, but when we look at the impact that he's had on the postseason, I mean the Knicks 53 win regular season finished with a three seed.A lot of the conversation perk was about the Western Conference going into these playoffs, but then when you see what Brunson and this next team did in this postseason, how will that be remembered?

Oh, as one of the all -time great teams.I mean, when you think about what they've done in the first round, second round, third round, and even in the finals, like, we just witnessed one of the greatest offensive teams that we've ever seen.But you saw it with the Knicks.You saw it with Mike Brown.You saw the togetherness.You saw this team come together and play agenda -free basketball.

Mike Brown, at times, was going 10, 11 deep into his bench.The trust that he had in all the other guys, those guys coming in and being stars in their role.Landry Shaman had crucial moments.We saw Jordan Clarkson come in when he didn't even get minutes in game one and game two, and he contributed.OG and Anobi, the new OG.version of Scottie Pippen.

He was huge throughout the course of this series and you just saw the level of trust.And that's why we're sitting up here watching the New York Knicks win be crowned champions this year because they believe.They believe in one another.They didn't care about the outside noise.They didn't care about people criticizing their leader, saying he was too small, that he couldn't lead them in today's game to a championship.And most importantly, what Jalen Brunson has done is that he has opened the door for so many other small guards, not only in the NBA, But future NBA guards that's got hopes on playing in the league one day that are under 6 '3".

Well, look, when it gets to this point, Dave, about, you know, when you get so deep into the postseason and the NBA Finals, it's not about Xs and Os no more.It's about who wanted the most.And that was the difference.We saw the Knicks.We saw, we saw Josh Hart diving on the floor for loose balls.We saw O .

G.Annanoby throughout the course of this series having moments, which he was having chased down blocks, big time steals.We saw the huge offensive rebound by Mitchell Robinson.That was probably one of the like greatest offensive rebounds in the history of the playoffs becauseof the moment.And so when you think about the Spurs, I just saw a team that was exhausted.

mentally and physically.They were fighting, but they just didn't have enough, right?We saw Wimby get tired.We saw him get fatigued.This is the second game where we saw him go to the free throw line, and he somewhat froze up.Down the stretch of this game, he didn't seem like he wanted the ball.

He was not aggressive offensively, and the lack of experience kicked in.on both sides because it was a battle of the sidelines.And I don't want to take anything away from Ms. Johnson because Ms. Johnson done a hell of a job.Let me start off by saying that Ms. Johnson done a hell of a job.People don't understand.How hard it is for a young coach to one, come in and fill the role of an all -time great or the greatest coach to ever coach the game in Greg Popovich, and then have a young ball club make them buy in into being stars in their role and playing the gender -free basketball to get them to this point.

But Mike Brown won the battle of the sideline.Mike Brown had the adjustments.Mike Brown had the championship experience and it showed throughout the course of these playoffs.But again, I can't say enough.about big body Brunson and how he took over this game and his leadership and his conditioning because he didn't get rest in game four in the second half.I believe he set out two or three minutes in the second half of this game and he came up so huge.
