The levels of anti -Semitism in this country now, the levels of extremism are intolerable, but I think it is important we understand what time it is in this country.We now have a well -organized force in politics, and in some cases is polling second in national polls, that frankly has become a poisonous vessel for extremism and anti -Semitism.And we can go through, well, you may scoff at that, but let's go through the evidence, shall we?So number one, as has already been pointed out, just today, we found out two green councillors, candidates, had been arrested by the police for anti -Semitism.One of whom said that the stabbing in Golders Green was, quote, revenge, not anti -Semitism.

Mohsin Ali, your fellow deputy leader of the Green Party, said that the actions of Hamas on October the 7th were simply them fighting back.That is a direct quote to describe the murder of over 1 ,000 innocent civilians.And the leader of the Green Party, Zak Polanski himself, said just a few days ago, that there was a big question about whether it was a real concern about safety for Jewish people in this country or simply the quote perceived concern of unsafety.Well I would have thought thought that perhaps the 3 ,700 anti -Semitic incidents recorded last year alone might have convinced him.Perhaps the burning to the ground of two Jewish charity ambulances may have convinced him.Turned out they didn't.

Well, I wonder whether the two Jewish men now fighting for their lives as a result of being stabbed repeatedly in Golders Green might convince Zach Polanski that the threat to Jewish people is in fact real.And I'm afraid, as I said, the Green Party is no longer a party for those who care deeply about the environment.
