Hello friends! There are a lot of requests to make a video on Osho. Osho, who is not only in India, but also an internationally renowned philosopher and spiritual guru. Now, because people are usually more interested in the person than in thoughts, you might be thinking that this video will be his biography.
But do you know, friends? When Osho was asked about his biography in a lecture, he said, I don't have a biography. And whatever is considered a biography is completely meaningless. It doesn't matter to me what date I was born,
or what country I was born in. What matters is what I am now, what I am here. In another instance, he said, Vasant Joshi is writing my biography, but it will be very superficial. So superficial that it is not worth reading.
Because all the Atma Kathas are the stories of the ego, not the Atma Kathas. So, reflecting on Osho's thoughts, we leave his biography and talk about his belief system. Belief system. But there is a problem with this too. The problem is that, do you know what he said about the belief system. He said that he doesn't have any belief system.
I am quoting exactly Osho's words here. He said that he wants to destroy all belief systems. Whether you are a Catholic or a Communist, it doesn't matter. He was answering an interviewer. The interviewer counter-questioned him. What would be the name of that belief system
which doesn't believe in any belief system. What about the belief system that doesn't believe in belief systems?
It is not a belief system. It cannot be a belief system. It simply deprograms people but it does not program them. It leaves them clean.
It only cleanses them. They have no writing on them. Just like they were born. Innocent. So my job here is to deprogram the Jews. Hindus, Muslims, whoever has come to me,
deprogram them all. End their belief system. I don't take them to any other belief system. Because I don't have any belief system. Osho says that I have been nothing for the last 32 years. The deeper you go, the more you will find yourself empty.
And as you go deeper, you will find yourself empty. And this is the point of enlightenment.
Buddha actually has given it the name nothingness. Nirvana.
Buddha called it Nirvana. Which means emptiness. Your ego is completely gone. Now the question here is, friends, what is is ego? Osho says that ego is a way to hide your weakness.
The way to hide your weakness is ego. The weakness is that I am nothing. So I will show you that I am something. This is the power of ego.
People think that I am nothing. And they try to make me something. Birds don't have ego. Birds don't have any ego. Animals don't have any ego. Because this ego is a human event. It is made by humans.
Since childhood, we are told to become something. To do something. To leave your name in history. To do something. You are not enough as you are. Become an idol.
Become a painter. Come into politics, earn money, do something and show. The feeling of not being anything is the only way to get rid of this pain. This is ego.
This is the desire for self-importance. And this is the ambition part of school. Now you will think here, that if someone feels like I am nothing, and then he works hard and become something,
then it's a good thing, right? Parents will feel proud of us that we made their name proud. If you become an IAS, your status in the society increases, and if you win an Olympic medal or an Oscar, then the whole country is proud of you. And the biggest thing is, you will feel good when you see yourself in the mirror.

A mouse would walk around him. The yogi got addicted to him. Once a cat attacked the mouse. The Yogi had some yogic powers. So he turned the cat into a huge cat. The cat ran away in fear.
The mouse was happy. The Yogi was happy too. But then a dog attacked the cat. So this time the Yogi turned the cat into a cheetah. But this didn't last long. Because now a lion attacked the cat. So the Yogi turned the into a cheetah. But this didn't last long. Because now, a lion attacked him.
So the Yogi turned him from a cheetah to a lion. And now, he attacked the Yogi. Now the Yogi was scared. He said, this is my own rat. And he forgot. So the Yogi said,
Punam ushko bhava. And he became a rat again. Osho says that the easier it is to make a rat out of a lion, the easier it is not to make a rat out of a rat. We make our rat into a cat, a dog, a cheetah, a lion, and then it becomes so big that we are the ones who are burdened by it.
You might think that this is nonsense, but it is not. I have made a video before on The Sad Life of Rich People. On this philosophy. But from a practical perspective. If you remember that video. It was about how famous superstars
also suffer from depression. Even after being the richest man, Elon Musk's loneliness, his insecurities, his stress, which he himself expressed.
It hurts my brain and my heart. It hurts. which he himself expressed.
Or you can look at Donald Trump. He has become the President of America twice. But now he has a problem with not getting the Nobel Prize. He wants the Nobel Prize. He is adamant that he has stopped the war between India and Pakistan. Sometimes Russia-Ukraine, sometimes Israel-Iran war. A few months ago he had already stated that he should have won 4-5 Nobel Prizes.
Actually, Trump compares himself to Barack Obama. That Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize. And Trump has openly criticized this decision. Becoming the president of the most powerful country in the world, and that too twice, is not enough. The ego wants to become bigger. of the United States twice, and that's not enough. He wants to be more egoistic.
So Trump compares himself to Obama. Osho says that comparing is arrogance. The problem is that no matter how much you achieve, there is always someone ahead of you. If you become the most powerful, then there is always someone ahead of you in wealth.
If you become the richest, then there is always someone ahead of you in beauty. Osho gives an example of Osho Napoleon. How Napoleon became a world champion, but still he was complex about his short height. For the record, let me tell you that actually Napoleon's height was not very short. It was around 5 feet 6 inches.
Which was a little more than the average height of a French adult male. But at that time, a British cartoonist, James Gillray, showed Napoleon in his cartoons, the short height, the angry and the boastful. Like this cartoon of his, Little Bonny in a Strong Fit. And Napoleon was very irritated by these cartoons. In fact, he was so irritated that he even sent diplomatic notes
to the British government to cor them and shut down the cartoons. But obviously this did not happen and basically you can see that even after not being short, their ego was hurt. Osho says that if someone has money, they will not have intelligence. If they have intelligence, they will not have anything else. then nothing else will happen. There can't be anyone who has everything. And if by chance, someone happens to have everything, then people will kill him immediately.
Because they won't be able to tolerate it. They say that even if someone has only money, people still go against him. Even if someone has knowledge, even if they have happiness, people still get irritated.
Because seeing that, they start missing out.
Because of ego, there is both happiness and sadness. people start feeling uncomfortable because they start missing out on things.
Because of ego, there is both happiness and sadness. When we see someone behind us, we are happy. And when we see someone ahead of us, we are sad. When we are sad, people talk about letting go of ego. But actually, until we let go of the temporary happiness that comes with ego,

is just like putting a flower on a wound. It doesn't heal the wound. It's just that you've covered the wound for a while. And in the same way, the whole life goes by in covering the wound. So if you want to leave, you have to leave your ego completely. But a question arises here, can you even leave your ego?
Osho says that if you try to leave your ego, it is possible that you will become the ego of leaving it. See, I have gained control over my ego. I am such a great man. That's why they explain the way of Buddha in a philosophical way. Understand your ego, observe it, accept the emptiness inside you. Till now people kept telling you that you are nothing. Now you say that yes, I am nothing. If you don't give new energy to your ego, it will keep falling.
You just need a little meditation and it will fall like a stone. Now you might be thinking that if everyone is so egoistic, if no one has any ambition, how will the world work? Then no one will work much. Only the work that is needed for survival will be done. And that's it.
Osho says that when you are satisfied with this zero, then a lot will happen to you. It is possible that a song, or make a statue. Your ego will be shattered. Whatever happens now, will be because of your natural nature. Where there is energy, some incidents will happen.
But there is no worry in this. There is no anxiety. And most importantly, there is no competition with others. The way the river flows from the coast to the sea, the same way, you will have a lot to flow. Now you might say again,
what nonsense are you talking about? It sounds good to say, but it doesn't work in practical life. I say, my ego will be gone. But the toxic job I'm stuck in, how will I flow here?
Which river will flow here? Spiritual things are on one side, practical things are on the other side. I will leave ego, but how will I leave this job? I will say this about Vijeta's case. Vijeta Dhiya, who is my friend and
a researcher of this channel. He comes from a middle class family. So, on the request of his parents, he did engineering, just like me. He did engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, which is now known as DTU.
And after campus placement, he got a job in a good MNC in Gurgaon. But after working for just 10 months, he left a corporate job. And he didn't leave this job because he was getting less salary or because of money. He left this job because he didn't want to do this job from his heart. His dream was writing, acting and filmmaking. But he faced many difficulties to realize this dream.
So he gave SSC's combined graduate level exam, CGLE. He became an assistant section officer in the foreign ministry. He worked there for 3 years. And then he left this government job. The same government job for which millions of people in our country are suffering. After this, he joined a media organisation
going in a completely different direction. He started writing for cinema. But he didn't enjoy it there. So he left this job in 3 months. And today, friends, he is one of the biggest YouTube channels in India.
He is a content researcher and writer. But apart from this, Kora India also awarded him the Top Writer Award for 2021, he was awarded the Top Writer Award. In film making, he has made a Haryanvi feature film, And a web series, Opri Parai. In which, not only did he write the storyline of the film,
But he directed, edited and acted the film. This film and web series has been a big hit in the Haryanvi audience. And he has won awards for it. The biggest thing is that he worked as per his will. He did street theatre in Haryana. He played the role of Lakshman in Delhi's famous Punjabi Bagh Ramlila. And apart from working on these YouTube videos,
he is also writing the script for his next film Monu Rockstar. In this whole story, you can see, he had no contact with the writing and film industry. How can a person who works in a simple corporate job, do all this? Leaving three different jobs, pursuing your dreams and earning money from them.
How did all this happen? This whole story, friends, he has told in his new book, To Hell With That Job. In Hindi, it's, To Hell With That Job. It's a full-length e-book of around 430 pages,
which is not only available in Hindi e-book and English e-book format, but also in the form in Hindi audio series format. I have read this book personally and in the right sense, it is a different level of inspirational and motivational book. Because here, not only a story is being told, but a path is being shown to you.
Usually, motivational gurus give motivation from outside, that you can do it, you will do it. All this is not in this book. Here, A to Z practical tips are given. Practical tips are for those people who feel that they are not getting their passion. I don't know what I want to become in life.

Vijeta and I have always thought that we spend the most part of our lives working. So work should not only be comfortable and well-paying, but it should also be joyful. I make so many videos regularly on this channel, what do you think?
Is it possible to do it without passion? Absolutely not. Vijayeta has used a word in her book for this. Resonance. How your work should be like a meditation. Where you get happiness.
And believe me, the way Osho says, that you will get a lot of it, that I and Vijayeta have experienced that. How does this feeling feel? And you can experience this feeling too. Just like Osho says about ego,
he also says something about jealousy. That this is a very powerful device of society which is used to control you.
Jealousy is one of the greatest devices.
It means live in comparison.
It is used to destroy your integrity. People compare themselves to others. If someone is lower than the other on a ladder, someone is higher than the other. But the amazing thing is that there is no one higher than the other on the ladder. Everyone is in the middle. It is a kind of circular ladder. Everyone sees someone ahead of them. Someone is ahead in beauty, someone is ahead in knowledge,
someone is ahead in money, someone is a painter, someone is a poet. You are competing against the whole world alone. You will go crazy in this. That's why it's wise to jump off that circular ladder. Get rid of competition, get rid of jealousy. These are stupid things. According to Osho, these are weapons made by religious priests with cunning.
All old religions have this fear that you may not find satisfaction in yourself. That you may not be happy in yourself. If this happens, how will you be their slave?
How will you get around them? wants you to become wise. It is against the investment of all societies. If people are wise they cannot be exploited. If they are intelligent they cannot be subjugated. They cannot be forced in a mechanical life.
The way to escape this trap is the same as I discussed earlier. Understand, see and observe. Whether you are a Krishna Murti or Osho, this is the central principle of their discourse. Self-awareness. They also call called mindfulness or super-consciousness. It says that the more you become aware, the less mechanical you will become. But the problem is that the world doesn't want your awareness.
They demand from you to be efficient. And efficiency comes from being mechanical.
You are expected to be efficient. Efficiency is a quality of machines.

Get started freeBecause of this efficiency and mechanical behavior, you can succeed in earning money, power and respect. But you will lose yourself. Just like Ekta Kapoor's serials are like a factory system. No one cares who wrote the serial, who directed it. Because they don't have anyone's unique, creative voice. The same applies to any factory, any corporate job.
Vijayeta has dedicated a whole chapter in her book on this. Explaining the history of work, she explains why by design, corporate jobs are so boring today. How a person is alienated from their creative nature? They are turned into a factory. This mechanical nature has come into our lives as well.
Osho, what you're saying about self-awareness, has become much more relevant in today's time. Why do people spend so much time on social media? Because they don't have self-awareness. In every moment, we mechanically go to the phone.
Our thumbs know the pattern of which app to open. Here, the former executives of social media companies have also revealed how these apps are meticulously designed so that they can hack the users' minds.
To confuse them. and keep them busy. Every single action you take is carefully monitored and recorded. Exactly what image you stop and look at. For how long you look at it. Oh yeah, seriously, for how long you look at it.
I made a separate video on this, if you remember. Similarly, look at shopping. First, shopping meant buying. If you need something, you buy it. But then companies made you habituated to online shopping. While shopping online But then companies put you in the habit of online shopping. While shopping online, you can put something in the wish list.
On the shopping website, you can shop online. You can put items in the cart. Once you search something but stop yourself from buying it, then the product is re-marketed. You don't need to log in again and again. You don't need to put in car details again and again. You can buy it in one click.
This lack of self-awareness is contributing to the major problems of the world. If we take the example of climate change, we can see landslides, floods, sea level rising, and pollution.
Why is all this happening? Technically, it is happening because of the rise in CO2 emissions. But the actual reason behind all this is some people's ego and greed. And the rest of the people's not being self-aware. Living their lives mindlessly, mechanically. But leave aside the world,
will you be able to find contentment in your life by living like this? You won't be able to because the whole game is that you are not happy. Because of your ego, you will show off your consumption on social media. Like, look, I bought this car. I am something. I did a lot of shopping today. That means I have money. I am something.
Now, someone else will be jealous of these social media posts. And then he will show off his consumption. And this way, this circle will keep on rotating. There is only one way to escape. Self-awareness. Because of which your mind can break this trap.
It can bring down its ego and jealousy. By doing what it wants, it can feel happy. And when people collectively do this, then we can make the world a better place. If you want to know more about Osho's thoughts, then Osho's avatar has been added to AI Fiesta.
If you are a subscriber of AI Fiesta, it's free of cost for you. Go to the app, you will see it on the avatar page. And now if you want to know exactly what is the way to do all this, then I have talked about it in detail in the e-book, To Hell With That Job. To Hell With That Job.
