Who is he and what's going on?

Well, David Sullivan is the former now chairman of West Ham Football Club.He's a businessman who was born in Cardiff.He grew up in a council estate.He's an incredibly intelligent man.He narrowly missed a first in his degree at the University of London.He set up newspapers.

He has a huge property company.He's been involved with the Daily Sport.which was a newspaper he ran.He had sex shops that he was involved in.He was in business with some brothers called David and Ralph Gold.They are the family who ultimately – and Summers.

set up other businesses with people like Eddie Davenport.He's had property ventures with Eddie Davenport.He's the man who owned the house where this Bonnie Blue was recently filmed in various antics.He bought that property from him for £22 million.That's currently for sale for £75 million.The fascinating part of that bit was Eddie Davenport acquired it from the embassy of of the video there, Kate Mosted photo shoots there.

That place has had all sorts of scandals through it, which connect to this in a way because it's the same sort of activities there was, you know, Sarah Ferguson was photographed there.All sorts of people went to the Portland Place house.And anyway, that was, that is the sort of person he is.with.You've painted the picture of quite a seedy, but very intelligent, celebrity -adjacent man. in my dealings with people on the internet and particularly on X about this in recent days, the comparisons have inevitably been made to Epstein and Maxwell with Sullivan compared to the former.Obviously, Mr. Sullivan is an innocent man until proven guilty if he remains such.

So where are those Epstein comparisons?

The big houses, the private planes, the lifestyle, the love of young women, the younger the better.Sullivan's paper was famous for having a column which was called the Countdown to 16 feature.So 15 -year -old girls would be photographed partially clothed, and then they would gradually reveal more and more.And then on their 16th birthday, they would publish a topless photo of said 16 -year -old.That was actually being… where was that published?That was in the sport.

That is mental.It's a completely crazy thing.And this man called Tony Livesey, who's just stepped down from Channel 5 – Radio 5 Live.He was somebody who claimed he was responsible for the idea of it.Now he claims he has no recollection of various things like they all do.He writes in a book about his involvement in the Countdown to 16 feature.

But in the BBC – there was a BBC Panorama program a couple of days ago and in that program, Mr. Livesey claimed to have no recollection and he finds all allegations abhorrent.Um, but it's, you know, these people have all made a lot of money working with Mr. Gold and, um, sorry, Mr. Mr. Gold and Mr. Sullivan, but that Mr. Gold is no relation.

Yes.

No relation to you.Separate Gold family.Yes.Different entirely.So yes, Sullivan has been compared to Epstein in a way.And then there is his associate, Karen Brady.

So the viewer will know Karen Brady perhaps from the BBC Apprentice, best of all.

On which she's very good.Yes.She's a very good presenter.

She's certainly somebody who has achieved a lot.She was the first female chairman of a football club.She became involved with him at Birmingham.She's been involved with him for over 35 years.He bought Birmingham in the 1980s and then ended up.Basically, sorry, 1993, he bought Birmingham.

He, he bought 80 % of the club, but in 2007, he sold it because he admitted the public have had enough of him.And that was the scandal there really was what the way the club was run.The fans didn't like it.This is a typical thing with these rich people who buy football clubs, the fans end up hating the new, the new owner.Then, then a new owner comes along again and that big savior, and then they turn out to be just the same.And then this is exactly what happened with Sullivan at Birmingham.

So then within a year he bought West Ham, 50 % stake in it, which he increased to 60 % later.He had played himself for the youth team of West Ham when he was young.

This is a very talented man.

Yes, he was involved in, you know, he could have been a footballer, he could have been an academic, he could have been a businessman, which he was, and he clearly loves football, that is definitely his passion.And his other passion is certainly younger women.He's currently engaged to a lady called Anpika Pixton, Miss Pixton.is famous for being on a program called The Real Housewives of Cheshire.She's quite a controversial character on there.She's sort of aggressive, as they all have to be.

They fight with one another on that program.She's quite in your face and shouty.And she, with Sullivan, did run a care home That care home has been condemned by various authorities and it turned out that one girl from that care home, which they were getting around about £10 ,000 to £15 ,000 per week per child, one of them was taken to her home and dressed up, which was viewed to be highly inappropriate.

Dressed up how?

put her into fancy clothes, but taking her to her bedroom in her home is what is viewed to be inappropriate.

Just bizarre stuff.

Bizarre behavior, yes.If you're running a care home, one of the workers complained that Miss Pixton had threatened to stab her in the eye.There were all sorts of allegations there, but Mr. Sullivan was involved in this business, and what I find particularly strange is that the BBC Panorama program chose not to talk about that angle, at this stage.Now, I believe the program was originally meant to be one hour.It turned out to be half an hour.I believe Mr. Sullivan, who has been – for many years now, I've seen photographs of him emerging from police stations, particularly Loughton Police Station in Essex, and he has managed to get so many court orders, slap orders on the media to not report on this.

But there have been courageous people out there.A man who I have corresponded with, Tom Latcham, who is the Daily Beast, and he's worked with the Mail and the Mirror.He was most famous for Byline Times, which I'm very friendly with Peter Jukes there.Dan, the investigative journalist.Dan Wootten.That was Tom Latcham's things.

And that was a serious investigation as well.It was over several years.It was like a 10 -pile or something investigation.

And obviously, Dan Wootten is somebody who feels he's been cancelled.And he's now reinvented himself as his own man. show.You can make your comparisons there.I don't know whether you've ever interviewed Dan Orton.

Yeah, well, we had a bit of a fallout, a public one, because I have to be very careful where I tread here.Right.

OK, well, I didn't know that.

But related to that Byline Times article, yes.

Right.Well, I recently had a dinner two weeks ago I held dinners for my readers and we did a dinner with Peter Dukes and this was discussed the matter of the kind of people getting these slap orders against the media, the censorship and I'm very much a campaigner for the free press in this country and I think it's great.Well, Dan likes things to be said if it doesn't offend him.Dan Woodson has blocked me on Twitter years ago because he read some very vicious articles about Susan Boyle, the singer, who I think is the voice of an angel and she should be celebrated for what she's achieved.He mocked her and obviously he had his whole thing with Johnny Depp.I don't believe him to be a campaigner for the free press.

I find him to be a campaigner for his own pocket and I don't like that style of journalism.But this man Tom Latcham has been tireless with the story of David Sullivan and there is a lady on Twitter whose account is – it's Ripple starter with a number I think.I would have to find it.But these two people have been the people calling this out for many years and they have been contacting myself and mainstream journalists I know from the mail.It has always been met until now with court orders and nothing will be done.it has finally started to unravel.

But what changed to make it?It's such a funny thing, because I like that you're saying this, because you're giving us, as an investigative journalist, you're giving us a window into behind the scenes.And I don't think you probably even realize how interesting that is for people watching, because we're going, okay, years and years.We didn't know about David Sullivan.People didn't know.

Even with, you know, Twitter, where people say whatever they want, and people say things that are highly libelous.I still didn't see that.But people, you didn't see this, Bob.There is a big community out there that have been criticizing him.And the main community, I would say, criticizing him were the football fans.And they hated him.

So they were prepared to latch on to other things.And obviously, because of his connections with the pornography business.There were phallic balloons sent up in the stadiums and things like that.There was always the hint of the sexual to it.

That's so interesting, though, what you're saying, because essentially the media didn't have the wherewithal to do anything about it.The police didn't have any, you know, if there was any legal wrongdoings or criminal wrongdoings.

And it took football fans, because they were probably upset that the club wasn't doing very well, And there was a lot to do with the greed of the move of the football club to the Olympic Stadium and what was the profiteering going on there and what were the goals up to financially, the goals in Sullivan up to financially with it.And that interested the financial press and obviously the Karen Brady became more interesting because this lady Karen Brady was appointed by David Cameron to the House of Commons.Karen Brady has done absolutely nothing in the House of Lords other than raise issues to do with football regulation and those regulations would benefit David Sullivan.Now, is that correct and is that right that that is allowed to happen?I think not.I think Karen Brady's ability in the background of 35 years of knowing this man, she must have known a far lot more given she chose to quit the sinking ship in April.

She did not wait around for this to happen.What did Karen Brady know about what was coming next?That's what I would like to know.So we can't prove that she had any… We can't prove that she had anything to do with it.But again, this comes back to the BBC.The BBC runs through the heart of this story.

We've got Karen Brady who works for the BBC and for Sullivan.We've got the BBC Panorama investigation into this, and then we've got Tony Livesey who worked for Sullivan, who's BBC Radio 5 Live.The BBC is yet again being proved to be an inept organization that doesn't seem to be able to get things right.And this is why people are listening to your program.Just now coming here, a man stopped me and said how much he loves watching you every day.Hopefully on the YouTube channel, not just with binoculars.

Who knows?He could be visiting your neighborhood.I don't think that was his aim, but he was quite a fan.And everywhere I go, I encounter people from all walks of life who love watching your program and love watching other programs such as Sean Atwood and Paul Amantovich and all these kind of things because they learn something different.And I think that's kind of important that we respect the fact that people have been talking about this story for years.This has been going on since the 1980s, 1990s.

And again, whilethe Met Police done?Why did the Met Police and the Essex Police particularly not act in this matter?

Well, let's nail down then, what are the criminal accusations that the police should have acted on?

There were accusations in 2023 that he had had sexual misconduct – that was what was alleged he had done but that was sort of swept under the carpet.1982, he spent 71 days in prison for living off immoral earnings.Now how can a man who has been living off immoral earnings and is a convicted criminal, how can he be allowed to be considered a fit and proper person for a football club chairmanship?That is I think very vitally important and I think the Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy is quite right to say this is a horrifying situation and that the FA should explain this decision.It is time that the police and the football association and the independent football regulator, the IFR, were investigated.These organizations are not fit for purpose.

I see this time and again.Last week, I was with a man called Mark Alexander, who's just got out of prison for 16 years for the murder of his father.He has maintained his innocence throughout that period.The Criminal Cases Review Commission have had 16 years to deal with his case.They haven't.This man, who recently has been shown to be innocent.

I forget his name, Andrew Malkinson.He is being charged for board and lodging.

This is a situation where justice is not being done properly when innocent man charged for boarding lodging and these big powerful people not being investigated.The fact that Fayyad wasn't investigated in his lifetime.These people have been able to benefit, these rich people from slap orders and all sorts of other little loopholes by getting involved with the police.Now, I don't know how much involvement Mr. Sullivan's had with the police, but Fayed had police officers on his payroll, ex -police officers, and he gave policemen hampers.I would imagine many police officers have probably enjoyed hospitality at West Ham Stadium.I'm sure Mr. Sullivan has been able to do very, very well.

Lady Brady, Karen Brady, in the last few hours has managed to secure Carter Rock, all sorts of protections.So she's making sure she's kept quiet.I've seen on Saturday that Sullivan got on his private jet and wasby Anne Peaker Pixton who seems to love filming everything like it's all a bit of fun.Let's see if Sullivan and Pixton end up married now.Let's see where all the assets go because if there are victims here, there will be compensation claims and this is a powerful man. powerful connections, what he's able to do, who only knows and the fact that he has chosen to step down and he claims he's going to sue the BBC and he's going to sue anybody who speaks about this in a way that he doesn't like.

I think the days of these powerful people being able to silence victims is wrong.This morning I had a message from a lady who was on the BBC program, Sasha Wall.She said to me, I refuse to live in fear of him or anyone.They have tried to silence me.The more they did, the more guilty he looked.and the more determined I became.

This was always about speaking up for those that didn't get out.

Stay with this because what we've covered so far, the countdown to 16, the prison conviction, the court orders, that's the surface.But what Matthew is about to show you is the network, the politicians, the newspapers, the people in positions of power who didn't just fail to stop this.They actively helped it continue and one of them is still in the House of Lords right now.

he used this pattern of abuse to build his porn empire.Of course, that remains an allegation, but these people are now speaking out and they are getting the attention.

That's just for people to know.That's Sasha Wall.That's, as you say, one of the people who spoke on the program, but she is someone who worked as a model and worked for David Sullivan.

She worked for the sport as a topless model, I suppose you could call it, and she is somebody who has chosen to speak out with her own voice.There areplenty of others there who were voiced by actors, so they are people who are there.But as we know with all the other cases, there are probably plenty of other people who have chosen to be silent or have come to arrangements otherwise because in this situation, You're dealing with powerful people.This is a very connected network.If you look at the connections of Sullivan, I can show you here.

a mind map of where it goes and he covers not only football, pornography, newspapers.He owns the Russell and Bromley building on Oxford Street.He owns a house that was for sale for 65 million pounds.He's prepared to sell that at a loss, he said.He's clearly moving things around presently.He must have anticipated things coming.

He's got a huge house in Essex.Again, he is somebody who has connections to the underworld, allegedly.

We can go back to the map there, which is really fascinating, because that gives us an idea into how he was being helped in some way, because someone doesn't do it on their own, building an empire like this.But I want to get into trying to nail down specificities, specific allegations at least, or other things we can't talk about right now, but what was he doing?With Epstein this was very clear, for example, you know, human trafficking, bringing in these underage women to an island and forcing them into lewd you know, horrible things.With David Sullivan, I think what people will be thinking watching this, are we talking about a very creepy man, which is still not beyond reproach.I mean, this is terrible, West Ham.

Well, you know, there are people out there who compare Jeffrey Epstein to Hugh Hefner and say that that's a nice thing.That's all it was.And then I wouldn't want to be compared to Hugh Hefner either.So where's David Sullivan on that spectrum?David Sullivan is not being accused of being Jeffrey Epstein but David Sullivan was, for example, arrested in July 2008 on a sexual assault allegation.Obviously that went away.

David Sullivan went to prison in 1982 for 71 days for living off immoral earnings.These are serious crimes.What does that mean, immoral earnings?Living off prostitution.Effectively in its simplest form.So he has had connections with things that are on the wrong side of the law.

And for him to have funded this care home for teenagers.

He has been involved in a care home business which how is he suitable to be fit and proper for that?Well, he has obviously used other people like Epstein supposedly used Maxwell.At his front, he's got Ampeaga Pixton there helping him with the care home.He's got Karen Brady, vice chairman.Karen Brady is in the House of Lords.He's got access to politics.

He has been a donor to the Conservative Party.Why did the Conservative Party not check the background of money that's coming into them?They were taking money from a man who has been to prison for a crime of living off immoral earnings.I think that is something quite important to this matter.I think it's strange that David Cameron chose to put Karen Brady into the House of Lords in the first place.What is the purpose of her being in the House of Lords other than perhaps she was a pioneer for women in sport?

But at the same time, he puts Michelle Monan tothe House of Lords also and I think those two people should be thrown out of the House of Lords because they do not contribute and I think that's a major problem there.Sullivan's links through Eddie Davenport go off to things like this Bonnie Blue.This Bonnie Blue is not guilty of any crime, but Bonnie Blue is certainly someone whose moral compass is something that one might view to be questionable with what she's recently been doing with her baby shower, for example.Oh, well, I shouldn't probably insult your friend, Bonnie Blue, then.

No, she's certainly not a friend of mine.But I gave her quite a hard time.

Right.I shall have to watch.

I wanted to creep you out by letting you know she sat in that chair.

Well, next you'll probably have Anne Peaker -Pixton or Karen Brady.You've got to give these people a hard time sometimes.No, you've got to talk to everybody.I think that's something that's come across in recent weeks for me with these stories is that I have been criticized for talking to certain people in certain stories.For example, talking to Lady Victoria Harvey, I would say you have to dance with the devil as much as with the delight.Lady Victoria and I have had differing views on things, but we can get along on other topics.

With another person who has been involved with writing about the whole Epstein matter, This particular person took umbrage that another person hadn't credited them in the way they liked and said you can't be associated with them.And I said, look, you've got to talk with everybody.And that is important.And that is why in this story, there are people out there supporting David Sullivan.And David Sullivan is an innocent man in this matter until he's dealt with.But there is a man called William Story on X. He is a rich energy.

he was in sports management.He was a Formula One team sponsor in 2021.He claims to have the ownership of a car company called Marcus Cars.The ownership is in dispute.He bid for Sunderland Football Club and Reading.He says on Twitter this morning, I've dealt with CEOs of investment banks, Sainsbury's, M &S, Ferrari, F1, the likes of Bernie Eccleston, Murdoch, Gene Haas, Silas Chu, Vijay Mallya, and Richard Branson.

And I would say that David Sullivan is by some margin the smartest and highest quality operator I've met in business.So this is a man who has gone from being born in a council, growing up in a council estate in Penyth and Wales.He went to Watford Grammar School, he read economics.Did you go to Watford Grammar?Family members of mine did.Well, they may have come across him there.

But this is a man who has a talent for property development.He has a talent for business.He clearly is passionate about his football club.But it doesn't mean that he should be above the law and for too long, this has been swept under the carpet and I do think that the victims could do with you know being able to have their voices properly heard and i think finally now this is starting to come out i think we are the very beginning of this unraveling um but it's it's fascinating to see that people like karen brady chose to quit in april you know what did she know in april that chet made her decide to quit in april you know we're now in nearly we're in june nearly july and you know there's been a Plenty of time in the meantime for some explanation from her.So I think we need to have an explanation from Karen.Brady.

Well, I can confirm that even I knew a year ago that this BBC investigation was happening into David Sullivan, so Karen Brady obviously knew.I think some of the stuff is kind of Harvey Weinstein -like in terms of there have been allegations by several models and women that they were pressured into sex with him.

Yes, so for example, one of the people who spoke in the programme went to his house at the suggestion of perhaps this man Livesey, though he claims he doesn't Doesn't know anything about it.And she went to his big mansion, went through the gates and the circular driveway and was taken into this fancy house.And she was surprised that he was in his track suit and looking scruffy when she'd made such a huge effort to dress up.And, you know, he wasn't really that interested in her until he said, come upstairs with me.And she went upstairs to his bedroom and the door was locked and then various things happened.But she, she did say in the program.

that I wasn't prepared.She told him she was on her period and said, he said, it's all right.Sex followed.She did not want it.In my heart, I said, I don't want to, but I didn't scream.So this is where, this is where his lawyers and the victims will have issues proving it in the same way as with Weinstein, because they're not prepared.

Recollections may vary, as the late Queen once said of some other situation, but it's a matter of proving the pattern.With Max Clifford, his conviction only came about because all of those accusers made one identifying feature, and that was that a certain part of his anatomy was very small.So that gave credibility to their accusations.Now, in this situation, these late Queen's accusersin what I see, making similar allegations.But people I've spoken with have said, well, you know, what they said on the program was a little bit flat.

And is it enough to merit investigations?And obviously, you know, it's not.To this point, Essex police had decided previous allegations were not worthy of investigation.So he is now in a situation where he has resigned from his football club as chairman, and he claims he's going to fight this.And we have to see what happens.

Is that difficult?But how much of it was definitely illegal?

Some of the things that, if true - And the ages, because people - Don't remember what year things happen.And then, you know, that, that might change their age from 16 to 15 or 16 to 17.And that changes the whole thing.Um, Panorama interviewed seven female accusers, um, and they were aged between 16 and 17.And obviously this column was around about 16 year olds.So that would suggest it to be that, you know, he, he had.

he made porn films such as Come Play With Me, things like that.He was a very smutty character, one can say, but that does not necessarily make you a criminal.No.

We also know about his apparent sex addiction.There was an ex -girlfriend or something who said that he would always want that.They're getting ready to go out, he'd be like, come on, we've got to… And if she ever said, Look, right now, I don't fancy it.He would just go, all right, I'm going to get a prostitute who would come in while his girlfriend is getting ready and all of that, and they would just have their way or whatever.And that particular girlfriend didn't seem to mind.

They do what he wants with him, then I have to do it.So for people who are involved with him, perhaps that might've been an easier way of doing what he wanted.And you know, his attitude, what's the point of owning a sweet shop if you can't eat a few sweets was like a question he wants asked himself.Um, you know, he has.played up to this character throughout his career, and now he doesn't like the consequences.Well, if you are going to have rights, you have responsibilities.

West Ham Football Club are acting surprised, but they apparently knew, I think they banned him from training with the West Ham Football Club had banned him from attending their women and youth games.

So it's pretty damning.Why did Karen Brady, you know, supposed voice for female empowerment, not resign earlier if she's such an advocate of, you know, strong women, all of that, as she puts in her column in the Sun or ever so much.I think, you know, it's shocking that this man was allowed to be there, but I think the worst people in that part are the Football Association and the Independent Football Regulator because this man should not have been allowed to be in this position.

The Met Police are now investigating some stuff from the 1980s.

Yes, 80s and 90s.So the latest investigations have been announced and they're going back to the 80s.I would suggest it's probably earlier the 70s even.Most of the allegations concern people in their 20s rather than 16 -year -olds.But look, it doesn't make a difference.A victim is a victim.

And it is time that this was properly dealt with because until now, like so many other things, they're left to go on.He's a 77 -year -old man.And like with Fayed, they waited until he was dead.Savile.Savile, they waited until he was dead.

Not to suggest that he's in the same ballpark as either of them.

But these are powerful men who are accused of things, and they haven't dealt with the allegations quickly enough.You know, there are other people out there who I cannot name, but famous people, particularly in the entertainment world.And once they die, I'm told, It will all unravel, but nobody's allowed to go there.And certain newspapers, you know, I was with a newspaper, a senior person from a newspaper yesterday.He said, our paper has a policy about certain people.We don't touch those people.

And people in the public have to realize that this is the way it's done.Newspaper owners do deals with one another and they do deals with their friends who If you're a person of this type you make sure your friends with people that type because he is a newspaper he was a newspaper proprietor so he has access to other newspaper prices so.This man has not been properly investigated because he's created as epstein did a web where you got useful people around you which means.nobody's going to dare question.

You mentioned that there are – I mean, that's quite an astounding allegation in and of itself, that there are many other celebrities that you know, when they die, things will come out about them.

I think it's absolutely shocking and appalling.Butdecided that certain people are national treasures and they're not to be touched.

I want to show you a name and I can't put it out there but I just want you to tell me if this is one of the, it's quite small though, but can you see this?

I have heard allegations about that person, but I have never seen anything substantive about that person.That's one person whose name is continually referenced on social media.

I think it's wrong.Because I've asked someone else who also said maybe not.I think they've got it wrong.

I've never seen anything that would suggest that that particular person has done anything.

I think they've got it wrong.

It's just a shame.And I get sent so many things.Well, it's not a shame for that person if they're innocent.But it's a shame that their reputation is out there in that way.That's the other side of this, though, isn't it?

Well, the wrongly accused bit is terrible.If you're wrongly accused, if somebody decides to write on the internet that you're the neighborhood crank, and somebody else says, oh, well, he's also Then people will come around to your house and perhaps burn it down, and that has happened in so many cases with these vigilantes out there, and that is totally wrong.Equally with famous people, not all famous people are bad, and not all famous people are good, but not all normal people, if you can classify anybody as normal, are good or bad.We have to be reasonable.But with anything, I always go back to the talented Mr. Ripley and the detective there who says, a fact is not a fact until you've checked it's a fact.And I think that's a good way of looking at any case.

And in this particular case, there is a previous conviction for criminality.There is the fact that he has stated what he likes to get up to.There are many people in the worldaccusations, but he deserves fair process until anything happens if it does happen.But at this stage, he is somebody who has not been charged with a crime in this context.But I do think it's absolutely appalling that the process has taken this long.
