I'm flying across the country with two cakes to attend a cake picnic and I'm stressed, okay? I've never flown with two cakes at once. There's a lot of prep so I woke up at 4 30 in the morning to properly wrap both cake boxes together to kind of make them one giant box. The cooler was in the freezer overnight along with all of these ice packs that I added in the morning. Because the cold needs to last 10 hours, we we only had to worry about the cakes. Every time I fly with cakes, I get pulled to the side by TSA. It's fine, we get through, it all works out.

TSA only took like two minutes. Also, I have to say, I fully underestimated how heavy these cakes were going to be. My arms were dying. So we get on the plane, we get situated. The sunrise was so gorgeous. I asked my mom to record me because I really wanted to show you guys my cool hoodie that like Becomes a pillow looking back at this footage. I do see how ridiculous it looks, but you know what?

0:48

I'd rather look ridiculous and be uncomfortable. This thing is amazing. I slept the entire flight a few hours later We landed in California upon getting off the flight I literally couldn't do anything until I checked to see that the cakes were okay, and they were literally no damage Picked up our bag, got situated, got on the bus. It was so scary riding with these freaking cakes. Get to the rental car place and my mom negotiates. She's like, what can you give us for what we got?

We got an electric car.

So nice. Shout out to my mom. I didn't even know you could do that. I put the cakes in the back seat, put the suitcase in the trunk, went straight to the hotel, had some wine, decompressed, got ready for the next day.

Into bed nice and early. The next morning, I wake up bright and early. We walk around Santa Monica. There's a little farmer's market. We get back. I write out my ingredient tags for both of my cakes.

1:33

And we had the second picnic of the day. So we were from cakes back from the hotel, got in the car. It was right by the Santa Monica Pier, which is so cool. We got to meet the beautiful founder, legend creator of the cake picnic, Alisa. And seeing how everything came together was literally insane. Look at this fricking line. There ended up being over 470 cakes at this thing.

I met Isabel, who's so talented. Look at her cake. It's so cute. I got tons of behind the scenes footage I'm gonna post, I'm really excited about it. Everybody was setting up. This is our cute little setup. We had some waters, a little picnic blanket. I waited until literally the last second to put my cakes out, because I was scared they were gonna melt,

2:08

but then I realized that they were so cold. So like shout out to the packing and the cooler, but like, sorry if you got cold cake. The way the stress just melted away once the cakes were finally out, This is my final look before everybody got up and got to get all the cake that they wanted. And I just want to say, this was such a cool experience. It was like so community-based.

2:27

Everybody seemed to be in such good spirits. This was my spread. Everything I ate was freaking delicious. And this is what it looked like after. Everything's demolished. It's kind of gross.

It's kind of gross. I have a full vlog and long form video
