strikes have now hit Iran's southern and eastern provinces, while Iran attempted to retaliate by targeting U .S.military infrastructure in neighboring Gulf states like Kuwait.Kuwait, thankfully, intercepted ballistic missiles.and drones without incident.And explosions were reported near Bashar, the location of Iran's Russian -built nuclear power plant.

But that wasn't all.Iranian state media confirmed that U .S.forces destroyed their railway infrastructure.The two main railroads that connect Iran to the wider Eurasian world and China, those railways have now been rendered inoperable.There were indeed explosions on Karg Island, Iran's main oil export hub.

The island that processes 90 % of Iranian crude, it was struck again.And then Trump speaking at the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, said the words that sent shockwaves through every oil market on the planet.
