It's not Man United's fault.I just don't understand the game.We're going to pay £35 million for Ederson with one year left on his contract and Barcelona are going to pay £60 million for Anthony Gordon, who's 25, played in the Champions League and is an England international.And it's not even that.We'll probably end up paying the same for relegated Fernandes.How the bloody hell do these big clubs get away with it?

Is it frustration?I just, I find this football thing really difficult and a lot of it comes down to how badly we are run, but Newcastle, I mean, what are Newcastle doing?What are Barcelona doing?And yes, it impacts on us directly because they've gone, why it pisses me off is they've just gone and got Anthony Gordon ridiculously cheap.If Newcastle had dug their feet in and said it's £80 million, which it should have, I can't believe they've paid £60 million for him.I heard Anthony Gordon was going for 100 million a few months ago.

He's gone for nearly half of that.And it messes us up.It fucks us up big time.Because do Barcelona still want Marcus Rashford?SK says I think they'll still buy him.I still think there is a chance they'll still get him.

But it's not as nailed on as it was this morning.They will have Rafinha, Yamal, who else have they got?Torres, Rashford, Anthony Gordon.They'll need a striker as well.They're looking at Alvarez.I'm not so sure that they'll still go for him.

I really am not sure that they'll go for him.I think they'll push for the loan now.And, you know, Barcelona don't normally work quickly either.

Look, I want to talk about Tonali.That's where Man United are rumoured to be going next, of course, but I think this is quite big, because where does Rashford go if he doesn't go to Barcelona?

And he wants that move.I feel bad for Rashford.You know, he's actually had a good season for Barcelona.He might start for England ahead of Anthony Gordon.And they've just spent £60 million on Anthony Gordon and they won't spend £25 million on Rashford.Let's hope they still do because it's also Rashford that's been pissed off a little bit.

But he could go to Bayern.Bayern were looking at Anthony Gordon.They could be looking at Rashford.I mean, as I said, there's a chance that Rashford starts ahead of Anthony Gordon in the World Cup.So you know what?It's a funny one.

But what annoys me the most is how we have our pants pulled down every bloody time.I mean, we paid £60m for Cunha to Wolves a year ago, and we paid £65m to Brentford for Mbwermo 12 months ago.Barcelona have just bought Anthony Gordon for £60m, and he's got four years left on his contract.I can't understand that.His price to Liverpool would have been £90m.Why have Barcelona been able to get him so cheap?

And I wonder if there's going to be a Barcelona player going to Newcastle very soon.That just seems a bit dodgy to me. I'm sorry.

He is worth more than that.He is worth more than that.It's 70 million euros with add -ons taking it to 80, which means they're getting an England international at 25, who's got four years left on his contract, for 60 million euros.That's a crap fee for Newcastle.That is a crap fee for one of their best players.Something's just not right about that.

We'll end up paying 60 million pounds for Fernandes.But Barcelona can buy Anthony Gordon for 60 million quid.It's crazy.It's crazy to me.It's crazy how they can do those deals.And you know what?

It annoys me that we can't.Barcelona have obviously gone in and bullied Newcastle for one of their best players.But United just can't do that.Is it Barcelona's pull?I don't know.Bayern Munich wanted him as well.

I hope he still gets his move.Right.Let's move on to Manchester United.Well, that was about Manchester United.I want to talk about what's coming next.Talk of Tonali to Manchester United next.

This is coming in from multiple sources tonight, most of them Italian.But remember, the Edison story started in Italy.

So interesting around that.Obviously, I did the video earlier about Edison, so I don't intend to go on from that one again.Suffice to say, I'm quite relaxed.One thing I didn't say in the video about Edison is I'm not going to sit here and say he's going to be a success.No, I'm not doing that.I've done that too many times before.

I've got overexcited about players before.There are definite red flags with Edison.I think it's a reasonable signing.I think it's an OK signing.I hope it's going to work out.I think he's a decent player, but I wouldn't sit here and say, yeah, that's definitely going to be a success.

I wouldn't sit here and say he is the most exciting signing.I think we could have done better.I think we could have done better, but we could have done worse.

So I think he's a six as a signing.And he might be a six in reality.It's not massively exciting, but I don't think it's the flop everybody thinks it is without him even kicking a ball.

But he's eager to come to Man United.Of course he would be.I mean, I think sometimes we get overexcited that he only wanted to sign for Man United.But look, I think we were probably the best offer in the shop as well.And if you played for Atalanta for years and you had one year left on your contract, I think you'd probably swim to Manchester as well.I mean, it's a massive upgrade for him.

With all due respect to Atalanta, this is a bloody dream move.Um, so look, I think we're just gonna have to wait and see as and when that gets announced, how he settles in.But no World Cup.He'll be in early for preseason.I wonder if that's a little bit of a tactic for Man United as well.Getting players that aren't at the World Cup isn't necessarily a great idea because you want good players.

But, um, you know, some of the players we are linked to at the moment aren't going to the World Cup.So they'll be in well rested for preseason ahead of a very, very important season.So, look, I'm not going to sit here and say Anderson is going to be a rip roaring success, but I certainly don't think he's going to be the flop some people are predicting.Certainly not.Now, look, what about Tonale, Mark?A few reports coming in tonight from Italy that Manchester United want Tonali and that he will be Man United's next signing.

Manchester United are now prepared to push for Sandro Tonali.He's valued at 86 million and now is United's next major target.

You know what I bloody love about this?You know what I absolutely love about this?And some of you justcannot figure it out and I gave you enough hints and you know what boohoo man do a little bit can you guess who I am.The fact that hardly any of you picked up on this is well you know what I've mugged you off.

Why do you think I was moaning about Anthony Gordon at the start?

Yes there is a little bit about Rashford not going to Barcelona but who does Anthony Gordon play for?Newcastle.How many years on his contract did Anthony Gordon have?Four.How old is Anthony Gordon?25.

How much has he just been sold for?60 or 70 million quid, yeah?Tenali is a year older, has two years less left on his contract, and plays for Newcastle.Do you think they are going to sell us Tenali for 70 million quid?Are they bollocks?Oh, they bollocks.

So Anthony Gordon can go for 60, 70 million pounds, younger, longer contract, and an attacker.But Tonali, you can bloody well guarantee that when we knock on the door, the price is going to be at least 90 million, which is a 50 % increase on his price.And that's what I mean about it.How is it Barcelona go to Newcastle and get a 100 million pound payer for 60, We'll go to Newcastle and probably have to pay £100 million for a £90 million player.So it's going to be very difficult for us to do this deal.I said this in March, Newcastle...

And you know what?Fair play to Barcelona.Somebody was listening.Somebody got the brief.I said it in March.Newcastle aren't going to be in Europe.

Newcastle need to sell players.But a little bit like Ajax when Ten Hag went, the bargains were at the start.

The bargains at Ajax when Ten Hag left were at the start and the players got more and more expensive the longer the summer went on because they had less and less players left.So Barcelonahave gone in there, got that deal done really, really quickly and got a good price.We potentially knock on the door next and talk about Tenali and they're going to go, yeah, yeah, we want 100 million pounds now.So look, I think it's going to be a very difficult deal to get Tenali.I know Mourdes was on about it earlier saying that he thinks Tenali's next.

I don't think Tenali's left next.I really hope he is. I really hope United have that ambition to go and get a player like that because he's perfect for us if Anderson goes to Manchester City.But look, there are a lot of reports in Italy about Man United and Tenali.Man United were in Italy last week talking to people beyond Ederson.So, you know, hopefully 2 plus 2 is Tenali, but I don't know.going to be a very difficult deal.

I would get ridiculously excited about this summer if we went and got someone like Tonali, by the way.And I think that's the level you've got to go at.As I said earlier, Edison cannot be the Casimiro replacement.Fernandes cannot be the best midfielder that we sign.We need a Tonali.We need an Anderson.

It's as simple as that.But interestingly, beyond the Tonali story, Fabrizio Romano tonight saying that Manchester United see Tuomini as the ideal player for their midfield.They love him.He's their dream target.They believe he's another Casemiro.However, Real Madrid consider him a very important player, so it won't be easy at all.

I still think that there is enough news around too meany to believe that that could be true.you know, ridiculous belief that we can still get Anderson that no one seems to have, including Man United.So I'd probably put him second.I think Tonali, we ain't going to go anywhere near it as much as I would love us to.I don't think we're going to go anywhere near it.And I think therefore, Tuomeli is probably the most likely.

And the question to that would be why.But I think we've got a good relationship with Real Madrid.We've taken Varane.We've taken Casemiro.And that's the key thing.We took Di Maria.

We've taken players from Real Madrid when they didn't want them anymore and we've given them good money for it.

They've earned good money out of Man United in recent years and we retain a good relationship.We are their bitch a little bit, let's be honest.When it comes to Real Madrid and Florentino Perez, they piss on us from a great height because that's just what Man United are now.We're not at that level, we can't compete.

If Real Madrid want to move Chiumini on, I absolutely guarantee they'll be happy to do a deal with us because we pay good money.And that's why I think he's the most likely of the three.

Of course, it absolutely comes down to whether new manager Jose Mourinho wants to do a deal with Real Madrid.But remember, Jose Mourinho knows Michael Carrick.Michael Carrick was Jose Mourinho's assistant for those four months before he got the sack.

So again, there's another connection there that Mourinho wouldn't have a problem with Chiumini going to Man United and playing for Michael Carrick.So the only barrier to this deal is if Real Madrid want to keep him or sell him.Now, if Real Madrid are going to rebuild their midfield, then I think they'll move Chiumini on.I do.I don't think they need him if they bring in Enzo Fernandez -Rodri.So, I do think Ciumini is, on the one hand, very unlikely, but on the other hand, I think he's very likely.

So, I could see that deal happening.

I can see it happening, probably more so than Tonali, even though I'd prefer Tonali.I think United have definitely put it out there that they desperately want him.Obviously, that's done for a reason.And, I don't know.I think this is just going to come down to Real Madrid deciding whether they want to keep him or not.And if they want to keep him, we're not going to get him.

But if they don't want to keep him, I think we'll be right at the front of the queue to do the deal.And, you know, I'm not unhappy with that.I mean, what would you think with Chiamini, Fernandes and Edison?The only thing about it is there's no homegrown player there.I really do think it's important to bring a homegrown player in because this is why we keep Harry Maguire.This is why we keep Luke Shaw.

This is why we keep Mason Mount.Apart from Mainu, our homegrown players Talents a bit shits really so I think we do need to start Realizing that Elliot Anderson not only do I think he's a Man United player He's also a homegrown player and they're worth that 20 million extra.So I don't know why we haven't figured that one out, but Andrew says to mean he's never coming to Man United with a laughing emoji grow up mate.

Seriously.I mean, what do you want me to do with that?Like you're not his mates.You're not his agent.You've got absolutely no idea and You know, you try and have a debate and you get people like you in.What do you mean he's never coming to Man United?

If they want to bring midfielders in, they'll sell him and they'll knock on the door.That's what it is.That's what it is. I can't be doing with people who say, it's definitely not happening because you say so.Trust me, bro.I mean, it's a grown up conversation.If Real Madrid want to keep him, he would definitely stay.

If they want to cash in and get some midfielders in, they'll knock on the door and say, do you want him?And we've got a great chance.It's going to come down to that.I think it's precarious.

You know, it's not the same as Baleba, who's there with his bags packed saying, please, please come and get me.It's not the same as Fernandez, who's probably saying, please, please come and get me, or Edison.It's a different type of transfer, but it could fall either way.

So, look, it's always gone on.

I mean, bloody hell, wasn't it?It was those Everton players who rolled out of a bloody strip club the other day.And I thought, you know, well, some of you probably thought fair play, but I thought, you know what?

If that was a certain Man United player who's at Barcelona at the moment, that would have been reported very differently as well.

I think, again, there's just a lot of people who get really excited if a player really wants to come to Man United.

And for me, it's a nice -to -have, but I'd rather persuade Harry Kane to come to Man United, then go for Tonali, who's desperate, sorry, Tony, who's desperate to come to Man United.You know, I'd rather persuade Yamal to come to Man United than sign someone like, I don't know, Harvey Barnes, who's desperate to come to Man United.I think it's a nice to have, but it's not at the forefront of my mind when I'm scouting.I want the perfect Casimiro replacement.I don't want the half -decent Casimiro replacement who'd love to come to Man United, because allI want the best.

So it's nice if they...I mean, look, Kunya wanted to come to Man United and Bermo wanted to come to Man United.It's nice, but I think sometimes people get overexcited about it when realistically we need to be buying best -in -class.If Barcelona want a bang overrated English player, they don't have to pay 80 million.They are flooded across Europe.Rashford does everything better than Gordon outside of pressing.

I feel bad for Rashy, says MMA lover.I feel bad for Rashford tonight.I like Anthony Gordon.You won't catch me slagging off Anthony Gordon just the same as I won't slag off Edison.I like Anthony Gordon.I know he's not everybody's cup of tea.

I think in this market, he's a £90 million player and Barcelona have for some reason got a discount.But I do agree with you.It's Rashford against Gordon to play on the left wing for England.And part of me thinks it will be Rashford.So it's a weird one.It's a weird one.

My worry is Carrick wants Rashford to stay.Wow.I mean, If Michael Carrick wants to be accepted at Manchester United as somebody that could be our future manager, I think he'd be a fool to bring Rashford back.Mainly because you'd have to persuade Rashford to come back, because I don't think he wants to come back.And also half the fan base don't want Rashford back.So I think that if Carrick's thinking about doing stuff like that, it just confirms again to me why I don't think we should have given him the job.

But I think you'll find that Carrick's probably quite irrelevant in that conversation, because I don't think Sir Jim Radcliffe wants Rashford back on 300 and something grand a week.And I don't think Rashford wants to come back to Man United.So I don't think it will happen, regardless of what Carrick wants.Love -hate games.Pokey says, get Anderson and snatch up Fernandes suddenly.We're not so desperate at the negotiation table for Tonali.

Also bring Rashford back to win the league.You've ruined it.You've ruined it.Daniel Anderson says that nobody's everthat we don't win any race against City.Bear in mind we have City people running the show at United.

Why is this not an article for journalists to focus on?It's a joke.Because the journalists around Man United don't focus on anything that's relevant.They don't.They don't talk about what's going on with the debt.They don't talk about what's going on with the stadium.

They don't talk about what's going on with our ridiculously crap football team.recruitment and managerial choices over the last two years, and they won't talk about why we fail in the transfer market every time there's actually a battle to be had for a player that we need.And this has been going on for a long time.They glaze every deal that we do, but most deal we do is Edison, where there's nobody really else in for him.We continually miss out on people like Declan Rice and Anderson and big players.Why do we miss out on that?

And then they don't spend it on players.So they're sort of hypocrites in a way, because we have got the money.We've definitely got the money to get Elliot Anderson.We've definitely got the money to get Tonali.We've got the money to get Tuominy.We've got the money to spend well this summer.

How we spend it is always the problem.You know, you give an intelligent man £50 million and they can make that £50 million, £250 million in three years.You give a stupid man £200 million and they can bankrupt you in three years.Think about it, right?One man's got 50 million pounds and the other's got 200 million pounds.In three years, 200 million pound man is bankrupt.

And in three years, 50 million pound man has a quarter of a billion or whatever it is.And that's United sometimes.We do have the money.It's just what we spend it on and how we spend it.

And I think, you know, as an analogy, I think the worst people in the world are the people who go into a sofa shop and there's the top of the range sofa for three grand, right?

There's a basic sofa for 800 quid and there's a middle -of -the -road sofa for 1 ,500 and then there's a, you know, sort of between middle -of -the -road and top -of -the -range at two grand.You're not going to buy the two grand one.So we go beyond cheap middle -of -the -road to in -between middle -of -the -road and top tier.

So we'll spend 60, 70 million pounds on a player, but we won't pay the 100 million.And it's like, just pay that little extra.just pay that little extra to get best in class.We go for option C and D instead of option A, but we pay good money for option C and D. And it's like, just pay that little, I'd love to see the boardroom just go, you know, for the next two transfer windows, let's get option A.and B. Let's not get option C and D. Let's pay that extra and get option A and B. And I reckon we'd just be way more successful.
