Tornado risk with severe t-storms for S. Ontario Saturday | #forecast

Through the morning, we saw thundershowers for areas such as cottage country and alongside this low pressure system heading into late morning and early afternoon, we're going to start to see the instability building as well as the risk for severe thunderstorms.Where you want to keep your eyes out is London and Kingston.You could be seeing torrential downpours and the risk for some possibly rotating storms.It's going to start to clear out as we head into the evening.So if you have plans, you want to push them into later in the day.And in terms of the risk, as I mentioned, of seeing strong thunderstorms, we do see the potential of supercells.

And with supercells comes the risk of tornadoes.You can see highlighted here near Ottawa, Cornwall, Kingston, along the 401 corridor, where we do see the risk of severe likely thunderstorms.Extending more out in orange is where we are at risk of possibly severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts, torrential rain, large hail, and even the risk of one or two tornadoes.Now, the risk could be subsided as we head into the evening hours as smoke moves in.
