Tricking my parents into eating foods they DON'T LIKE
Chef Tyler
Today I'm going to be tricking my parents into eating the foods that they don't like. Let's start with my dad. For some reason he passionately believes that fruit should not be a part of dinner. It's okay to use fruits for dessert, but he hates it when he sees a fruit on his dinner plate. So I thought it'd be funny to trick him into eating fruit with his dinner. To do that, I marinated a ribeye steak in blueberry juice before cooking it. But that's a blueberry and thyme barbecue sauce to serve with the steak. That looks yummy. Really good. What is this sauce?
They're blueberries.
Blueberries?
You do like it though.
I have to admit, pretty good.
Now let's see if I can trick my mom. You see, she's super grossed out by feet, just like feet in general, so I thought it would be funny to trick her into eating a bowl of foot juice. I'm force feeding her, get it? I know this probably sounds really mean so far, but it is actually pretty common for pig feet and chicken feet to be used in different broths all throughout Asia. So I figured I'd be able to make a pretty mean bowl of ramen
using mostly feet for the broth.
That looks good.
It's really good.
Can you tell what kind of broth that is?
It's chicken broth, right?
Kind of. Kind of.
What do you mean kind of?
