If you're wondering what it looks like when Donald Trump goes into full panic mode, you don't have to look further than his true social. He wrote quote, The United States of America has beaten and completely decimated Iran, both militarily, economically, and in every other way, but the countries of the world that receive oil through the Hormuz Strait must take care of that passage and we will help a lot.
The U.S. will also coordinate with these countries so that everything goes quickly, smoothly, and well. This should have always been a team effort, and now it will be. It will bring the world together toward harmony, security, and everlasting peace. President Donald J. Trump." So just to make sure that I'm understanding everything correctly here, Iran is completely and utterly decimated, but we also need the help of the entire world to make sure that
Iran, which as a reminder, is completely decimated, doesn't stop ships from going through the Strait of Hormuz, which is happening, because Trump decided to launch a war with no preparation and apparently no ability to recognize that Iran would deploy the most predictable response at their disposal by closing or even mining the strait. Did I get all of that correct? And look, I'm neither a foreign policy expert nor a Middle East expert, but there are plenty
of them in the US government. And yet, Donald Trump opted not to take anyone's advice into account because he decided to run headfirst into a brand new war in the Middle East despite his own promises of no new wars in the Middle East because he decided that he's the world's new kingmaker and could topple a new regime every single week. Apparently, it's not as easy as he's anticipated.
But in Trump's defense, who could have possibly guessed that managing the Middle East would be hard? Truly one of life's great mysteries. Notice too how he said this should have always been a team effort, but that would have required some basic modicum of planning. And that simply never happened. Trump didn't even make the case for this war among Americans right here in his own country, which is why it is the single least popular war at its outset in modern American history.
We haven't even been told what the POINT of this war was, other than to apparently destroy Iran's nuclear capabilities, which we were already told happened six months ago.
Tonight I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.
So Iran's nuclear capabilities were obliterated, and yet we needed to go back in because otherwise they would have been able to strike us with the apparently not anymore obliterated capabilities? Please, someone who speaks Moron, help me. In fact, just a couple of weeks ago, I brought this point up with Gavin Newsom and he highlighted perfectly the incoherence of Trump's Iran strategy.
Trump is consistent in his inconsistency. The fact that he said he would never do something like this and lied about it. JD Vance did the same. People like Tulsi Gabbard did the same. You go through the list of all these MAGA guys. They lied. And so that's unsurprising. But here we are with now a regional war. We've got the Gulf states under attack. We've got our allies under attack. We now have oil
prices starting to skyrocket. We got straight from Moose, which has 20% of the world's oil passing through it with not a lot of activity. We've seen the market volatility. We're now going to pay the price. Six members of the military have lost their lives. Others likely are going to lose their lives. And again, Trump can't land on a rationale. No imminent threat. Yes, there was an imminent threat. Oh, inevitably there would have been because Israel was going to go anyway, says Rubio. Then they shape shift again, say, well, no, it was about the nuclear program. Wait, you just said it was obliterated. So that doesn't fall through. No, it's about the missiles.
No, it's about the proxies and the militia. No, it's about the Navy. They cannot simply land on any rationale. And so it's a remarkable, remarkable expression of sort of this cluelessness in terms of foreign policy, but the profound consequences in real time, unintended and intended, that we're all going to have to suffer through.
And of course to watch the full interview with Gavin Newsom and all other interviews, the best way to do that is to subscribe to this channel. It's 100% free, but a great way to support my work and independent media more broadly. But that right there, what Newsom said, that was a couple of weeks ago. Trump's strategy hasn't gotten any more coherent since then. And here's the most ironic part. Trump has spent the last year alienating all of our allies. He's basically tried to declare war on Greenland, threatened to invade or annex Canada and Panama, God knows how many threats he's lobbed at Mexico, he's shit-talked
most of Western Europe's leaders, and yet, now that he's turned the United States into a pariah on the global stage, here he is asking other countries to help us. It's almost like there's some value to having allies around the world, as opposed to being a tough guy and going at it alone. Although I must note that one country Trump did suck up to while he was alienating all of our allies was Russia, Vladimir Putin's Russia, the same country that is right now helping Iran against the United States.
I'm going to repeat that. The country for which Donald Trump has alienated our allies is actively working against the United States in Trump's war with Iran. And yet Trump couldn't even bring himself to condemn Russia. Mr. Mikov, have you communicated to the Russians not to send targeting information and other
assistance to the Iranians?
I strongly said that. And do you believe that they are?
I hope they're not. information and other assistance to the Iranians. You strongly said that. And do you believe that they are?
Do you see any evidence?
We don't know, but it's not doing very well. If they are, it's not helping much. If you take a look at what's happened to Iran in the last week, if they're getting information, it's not helping them much.
What would it mean to you if they were, I mean, even if it's not helping the Iranians particularly much, it's still involving themselves in a conflict that they're not directly.
They'd say we do it against them, wouldn't they? Wouldn't they say that we do it against them?
I don't know.
Look, they could give all the information that they want, but the people they're sending it to
are overwhelmed.
That's right. Wouldn't want to utter an ill word of Daddy Putin. And now the rest of his administration has to prostrate themselves as well to Russia, just like Trump does.
Sources tell CNN that Russia has been providing Iran with intelligence to help Iran better target US service members. You said in an interview last week that President Trump will, quote, deal with it accordingly. Here's what President Trump had to say about this on Friday.
You think Putin is helping them?
I think he might be helping them a little bit. Yeah, I guess. And he probably thinks we're helping Ukraine, right? China would say the same thing, you know. It's like, hey, they do probably thinks we're helping Ukraine, right? China would say the same thing, you know, it's like, hey, they do it and we do it in all fairness.
They do it and we do it.
Do you see an equivalence between the US helping Ukraine defend itself and Russia, Russia helping Iran target US service members?
Well, Jake, we've known that Russia and Iran have this symbiotic, have this strategic partnership for some time now. I'll tell you what Russia has lost out of this. They've lost their biggest manufacturer of the Shaheed drones. Russia's been licensing those drones for quite some time and hitting Ukraine with it, all
the more reason why we need to defang this regime and all the more reason that they cannot have a nuclear weapon. And I'll just point out too, because a lot of critics out there are making hay of this. It was President Trump that put sanctions on Russia's largest oil producer, Rosneft. He also put sanctions on Luke Oil. The Biden administration did not do that for many years.
They only did a kind of a pinprick action at the very end of the administration. He also took tough action on India. And now he's put a temporary pause on that in order to calm energy markets. I think these are all pragmatic, common sense approaches
while we deal with the Iranian regime. But surely, surely Russia helping Iran target our service members is upsetting and distressing and action needs to be taken.
Well, I'm not gonna get into, you know, leaked assessments of what intelligence is being provided or not. I just can and won't do that. But I'll tell you if they are doing it, it certainly hasn't been affected or effective, excuse me, because the Iranian Air Force, air defenses, missile

But sure, these are the tough guys. Got it. The reality is that Donald Trump's frantic posts betray an obvious reality. He has lost control of a war that, frankly, he never had control of in the first place. When he starts begging for help from other countries that he'd spent the last years denigrating, you know that things are bad.
Maybe this will make him think twice about making the US a pariah on the world stage, although if history tells us anything, Donald Trump will likely only double down.
