‘Unbelievable’: Asylum seeker family complains about new-build home in UK
Patrick, something else I read from you that really explains so much.No wonder Britain has been flooded with illegal immigrants and the sense of entitlement of some of them.I now read of a couple from Pakistan that came to Britain with their four children, complaining about the council house they were given, saying it's too remote, not enough transport links, and some of the locals have allegedly abused them, which is something, of course, that is not good. But what's the story here? What's the complete story?
It's unbelievable, this is so enraging. They came from Pakistan on a work visa, started working as an Uber driver, brought their kids with them. The work visa expired, so they applied for asylum. They were obviously granted asylum because we just give that out to anyone at the moment. Now we've built a load of brand new homes, which would be worth roughly 400 ,000 Australian dollars each.21 of these brand new homes have been given specifically for asylum seekers.
And they are in a nice rural village where people chose to move to, etc.And yeah, they're complaining about it.They say it's too remote. They say they feel isolated.Oh, I'm sorry, you know, did you want a penthouse in central London? You know, I'm sorry that our country that is giving you a home and education for your children, free health care, all the trappings of this wonderful culture that our forefathers spent centuries creating and nurturing.
I'm sorry that that isn't quite good enough for you.I mean, the other aspect of this now is that we are renovating disused military bases around the country, more of them. One of them is in a town with a population of 600 people, and they're looking at putting around 1 ,500 asylum seekers and illegal immigrants in that town and village. And they're allowed to roam freely.I mean, he's absolutely maddening this.
It's just...I don't get...Look, really, the whole thing is so bizarre. You're just one...You know, you're extinguishing yourselves, really.Keir Starmer, meanwhile, the architect of so much of this,
he's going to step down as Prime Minister in a couple of weeks. He's seen the writing on the wall. He's getting the boot after two years. His replacement is almost certainly former Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham. It's just an amazing coronation, because I don't know what he's yet said that he'll do that is different from what voters hate.
Yes, exactly that.So Andy Burnham has said that he will move a lot of the operations to Manchester and call it Number 10 North because that's in the north of England.People have pointed out that that would be rather convenient for him because he doesn't intend to leave his family home in Manchester. So I think that's one way of doing it.The fact is that Andy Burnham has said that he wants to let asylum seekers work before they've been processed while simultaneously saying that he wants to get stuff on asylum seekers. He's also said that he wants to rejoin the EU.
Then he says he doesn't want to rejoin the EU.Nobody knows what this guy stands for. He's flip -flopped more than Gandhi, and that's just in the last few weeks. He is trying to be all things to all people, and actually ended up being none of them. But think about this.Britain, one of the homes of democracy, they created a by -election just to get this guy elected.
0 .03 % of the British population have voted for him. He's now going to walk into Downing Street or Number 10 North totally unopposed. This is not democracy. This is absolutely insane.
I think it's incredible.Crikey.Gives us all hope.We could all stroll into Parliament and wake up as Prime Minister any day.Patrick, enjoy yourself over there.I mean, wonderful food and sunshine.
Talk to you next week.Thank you so much, Patrick Christie.
