United's INCREDIBLE Transfer Message! Fernandes, Scott, Tonali, Kone Man Utd Transfer News

Oh, hello, everybody.Welcome to the United Stands.I'm Mark Goldbridge.This is your latest Manchester United news and transfer news this morning with some crazy updates coming about about Man United.I mean, I can't believe it's happening again, is what I would say.Ben Jacobs, big update that we might push any deal now until July, not January.

We don't work in January.Until July to put it into next year's financial year.But what sense does that make?Because Semenyu, we had the money for.So what's going on there?We've also got an article in The Athletic that's dropped the deal sheets.

Lots of stuff in there about, you know, Man United expecting competition for transfers.We're talking to Alex Scott.We're interested still in Wharton, Buleba.Also want to talk about Manu Kone as well.Spurs still very much in the race for Fernandes.Also an interesting striker story as well.

A striker that's performing in the World Cup that could be perfect for Man United, and he's looking for a move this summer transfer window.Would you take Balogun?of Monaco and the USA.Lots of stories about that.And he is looking for a move.24 years of age, two years left on his contract.

Would he be a good alternative to Sesco?We'll talk about that as well.But look, I want to delve into some things that I'm When I'm reading an article this morning about how Man City are looking at Tonali and Anderson, and I realise they're not Real Madrid or Barcelona in a different league, they are actually just down the road from us, playing in the same league as us, and they're buying Tonali and Anderson for their midfield, or trying to, and we have Edison.I find it madness, to be honest.with you.And I would love one of these Glazer rimmers to explain to us why we should stay calm.

I'd love Omar Barada to explain why we should stay calm.Because stay calm, you know, it's a little bit like, you know, You're trying to climb on a boat and a shark's chewing your bloody legs off and the person pulling you up is saying I just need a breather.Just stay calm for a minute.I'm losing my bloody legs.I'm legless.It's bloody painful.

Emily Derry said it last night.It's the same strategy all the time.It is the same strategy all the time, whereby we talk about an exciting window hit late June not doing it and we get the same old stuff well the new financial year doesn't start till July the official transfer window has only been open for a week and um you know there's no need to panic yeah and you sort of like go i would have listened to that the first time i might have listened to it the second time The third time I've been getting a little bit dubious.We're probably on about the ninth time they've done this to us in June.Oh, we're going to, you know, we're interested in this player, interested in that player.You know, we're going to have an amazing summer.

Have you bought the tickets yet?Yeah, we're going to have a great summer.Have all the season tickets sold out?Yeah, great summer.What about the new kit?It's still sold out.

OK, yeah, we're going to get Marquee signings.We were going to win the league next year.There's an away kick coming out.Keep going.Yeah, it's going to get really good.Right, we've sold loads, haven't we?

Look, it's a challenging window.All the season tickets are sold and we've got to get going.sales on the new kit.It's a challenging window.Stay calm.You know, FFP, I think we all know what that means.

PSR, yeah?Stadium to build.It's difficult.So look, I think it's a relevant thing to stay calm.And it's something that I think that, you know, frustrates a lot of people.But look, let's delve into it because it's all right.

Me moaning because I'm moaning.Let's talk about what we're moaning about here, because there's a few things.So first of all, Ben Jacobs last night actually put a post out replying to somebody that had misquoted him about Fernandez.And what he said is, let's see what happens if West Ham get the bidding war they want or if it falls away.Talks are still ongoing with Manchester United, but I sense United prefer to put these types of deals onto the next financial year, meaning the window won't really get going until July.And you sort of like go, what?

And that's legitimately from Ben Jacobs last night.It came in at about midnight last night.Let's see if West Ham get the bidding war they want.If it doesn't, Talks are still ongoing anyway, and I sense United prefer to do a deal like this in the next financial year, meaning the window won't really get going until July.And again, I'm sort of sat here going, wait a minute, though.I mean, United haven't told us that.

United haven't put that out there.They've been more than happy for us to think a deal is going to happen tomorrow.And yes, July is next week, tick short, snaps.But July is also in five weeks as well.doesn't mean because july starts well it's not even a week away mate actually we're still it's a week and a half away but it doesn't mean because july startsin a week and a half, we're going to sign Fernandez on the 1st of July.

I just think this stay calm thing is a little bit narrow.It's a little bit weak.It's fundamentally quite flawed, because as we're staying calm and taking our time and doing deals when we prefer to do them, there's an expose there.You bid for Semenya in December.That would have cost you 65 million quid.Where's that money gone?

That £65 million was there.You obviously had that money in this financial year and you've not spent any of it.Because Edison's next financial year and now Fernandez's next financial year.So what you're telling me is we're so financially comfortable now that we have got money to spend this year but we're not going to bother.We're going to lump it into next year because we're so bloody wealthy.Well we know that's not true.

So why have we not figured out that we had money from Semenu to spend in this financial year which we haven't spent but we're not going to spend.We're going to push it into July.I thought that was the whole point of this June month, was to actually get something done before June the 30th and close a deal in this financial year like we would have done for Simenu to spread the cost.Apparently not.Apparently not.So that's a little bit confusing in itself.

But also, it's all right saying you like to do these deals in July.I think the big mic drop here is 12 months knowing we need to rebuild a midfield, 12 months needing a midfield.But ultimately, We've got nothing planned in July.So I'm sort of looking at it and I'm going, sorry, we're planning to do stuff in July.And I'm sort of looking at it going, we need three midfielders.We've known for 12 months we need three midfielders.

We need to replace Casimiro.And the message is stay calm.We like to do these things in July.And I'm sort of like, you know,to do two more things in July.In fact, you probably need to do about five things in July.

And they need to be major things.And it's a very competitive market.And what happens if you don't get what you want in July?Where are we then?The prices are going up for everybody.I mean, look, the Alex Scott update is we like Alex Scott, but the price is difficult because it's a lot more than Man United would have thought.

And look, I put my hands up.I would have thought Alex Scott, two years left on his contract, under £60 million.He's had a decent season and a half for Bournemouth, who are a decent Premier League side, but £70 million with two years left on his contract.Are you having a laugh?But that's the sort of prices that are happening.And I know that's the wrong price.

You know it's the wrong price.Bournemouth know it's the wrong price.But the market's being dictated by the inflated midfield market, where Elliot Anderson is probably going to go for £110 million or more.Mateus Fernandes is probably going to go for 70 million pounds or more.Tenali is going to probably go for about 90 with add -ons.So Bournemouth are going to go, we want 70.

So it's all right going, we like to do deals in July and stay calm.But fundamentally, it's not, it would have been better for us to do deals in early June.It would have been better.You know what I mean?It's like walking into a shop and it's a busy shop and there's a limited amount of stock and the shop owner puts their prices up.What are you going to do?

That's not fair.You need to buy the stuff.If we'd got into the shop early before the queues and got what we wanted, we could have got in, got out, saved some money and also been in a much better situation.So I do question the negotiation tactics of Manchester United when they desperately need three midfielders and they're sat there going, we like to do deals in July, watching the prices of everybody we want go up.Because if we've got £150m to spend on three midfielders, but prices go up by 20 -30%,might only get two.

And that worries me, because there is a lot of talk of only buying two midfielders.We know this football club's a business, and if they've set, and I guarantee they have, if they've set a limit on what they want to spend, and they thought that limit was going to get them five or six players, and actually it's only going to get them three or four, we'll only get three or four.I don't think there's anybody in this chat or anybody in this fan base that thinks if United have set a limit on what they're going to spend to get five or six players and it only gets them three or four, they'll only get three or four because they will stick to their limits.So look, stay calm.Fine.Stay calm.

Do I think we'll get Mateus Fernandes?I still do.Do I think Spurs are a threat?Yes.Do I think this summer transfer window could fall on its arse?

Yes.Do I think it will?I still hold hope that it won't, but I don't like the strategy again, because as I've said to you before, I do remember the summer where Liverpool bought four midfielders in one summer, and it was very, very strategic.It was very on point, and you felt they'd been planning it for months.United need to get a similar midfield done.It doesn't look like we've been planning it for months.

doesn't look very strategic and looks like we're flying on the seat of our pants a little bit here.And it's interesting, actually, because as you move to the athletic update about what's going on, essentially what they're saying about the situation with Mateus Fernandes, and this is coming in from MJ Critchley and Laurie Whitwell as part of the athletic deal sheet they do.Basically, what it's saying is West Ham's defend demands of 80 million.

are expected to be the fundamental sticking point here.United have shown a reluctance to meet that valuation, but if a rival is prepared to move closer to West Ham's price,

the old Trafford hierarchy will be left with a big decision to make.United are yet to submit a formal bid for Fernandes, although one is expected.

And I think this is the fundamental thing just to spend a couple of minutes on and obviously give us your thoughts.The Mateus Fernandes update is not, I think it will happen, right?There is stuff there.There is certain things that need to happen.They're out of our control.

And this is what I mean about strategic and organised.Strategic and organised would be in March, we want Mateus Fernandes.Do you want to come to us?Yes.Agent, can we do a deal?Yes.

West Ham, we've got a big summer ahead.He wants to come to us.Let's get a deal done.Let's get this done really early in the window.It's better for everybody, you know, like we did with other players, right?

We haven't done that.It feels like we haven't done that.It feels like personal terms were only agreed in June when they could have been done in March.Why weren't they done in March?Now, look, West Ham were always going to be difficult.But if Mateus Fernandes is saying to West Ham in May, I want to go to Man United, let's get the deal done quickly, it helps us.

The personal terms weren't done until June.So we haven't had that.We haven't took control of the situation.And what effectively is happening now is, and everybody's saying this, is that United are sort of out of control of this.they do have the buy -in from the player but West Ham won 80 million and if somebody comes in and meets that valuation United have got a big decision to make.Do they overpay or do they walk away?

Now what would you do?But my point is we shouldn't be in this situation in the first place.What we're basically hoping forthat Spurs, for whatever reason, back off.And then we can go back to negotiating with West Ham to try and get a cheaper price.Because ultimately, that's the delay, isn't it?

It's all right saying, it's all right Ben Jacobs saying, Man United like to do these deals in July.

But if West Ham were saying it's 60 million today or it's 70 million in July, we'd do the deal today.So I call out bollocks.I call out bullshit.Now, I'm sure Ben Jacobs is being told that.But it's bullshit.It's spin.

It's delay tactics.You telling me if West Ham would do a deal today for 60, we'd go, no, we'd like to do it in July for 70, because that's what they're going to want in July.We'd do it today.Strategically, I just don't think this is a very well mapped out transfer.And what concerns me about it is I think we will get it done, but I don't think we're in control now.As per what the Athletic are saying, West Ham want 80.

If somebody else, if another club's interested, that price is going to go up because they're going to offer higher and we're going to have to pay it or walk away.If that West Ham or Real Madrid, sorry, if Real Madrid or Spurs or Arsenal aren't interested and it's just us, we can carry on for a few weeks more.So in a way, It depends whether you're a football fan or an accountant.Now some of you are accountants.I don't know why.You've fallen for it.

I think, I actually do think, and I'll say it again, I hope Spurs bid 75.Because we'll get resolution on this deal.We'll either walk away or we'll do it.Overpay or walk away.I actually want that to happen because I think we've got lots more things that need to do.Imagine if Spurs back off and Man United go, oh yeah, West Ham, we've got you where we want you now.

It's not like West Ham are going to go, oh please, we'll take 60.There'll still be negotiations for weeks.I actually think if there is a competitor, we'll either miss out.or we'll have to pay up and I do think speed is of the essence and it's not like we want this player.So conclusion of the player I would want that to happen very quickly.

It also says competition from Premier League rivals and clubs across Europe is to be expected in any transfer window and given the markets United are shopping in, it does not have to be an obstacle.Even at low points after poor seasons, United have demonstrated they can still have considerable pulling power.The 15th place Premier League finish in 24 -25 and failure to qualify for Europe did not dissuade Embermo or Sesco from joining, despite interest from elsewhere.The summer prior, United saw off competition from Real Madrid to complete the 62 million euro signing of Lenny Oro.Maybe we overpaid.Personal terms between...

I thought it was 50 million euros.Personal terms between...It's more than 50 million pounds, isn't it?Personal terms between United and Fernandes are not expected to be an issue.Yet even if Old Trafford is a player's preference, competition for their signature can have the obvious consequence of driving up and costing Man United more money.West Ham demands may need to be met by Manchester United.

Look, I want to make it very, very clear as well.I would overpay.I would, I would overpay.I'll make that very, very clear.I would overpay to get this deal done.I do not want Man United walking away.

And some of you might walk away, but I absolutely would overpay because I feel like if we don't do that, then where do we go next?We're moving down the list.I feel like Mateus Fernandesas the marquee signing is probably already option C or D. I've got no problem overpaying.I think some of you do, some of our fans do.I think this is a player that we clearly want.

And I call it the Perisic factor.Mourinho really wanted Perisic that summer before he was sacked.It was 45 million, United offered 40 and they wouldn't go to 45.

And we walked away and we didn't buy a winger.And I sort of looked at it and I went, we've walked away from a player our manager really wants because of five million quid, because the club won't overpay.Mourinho was sacked by Christmas.Perisic was a brilliant player.I just think if you know you want a player, overpay.I mean, I wouldn't like, you know, I wouldn't give him half a million pounds a week and I wouldn't pay 90 million pounds for him.

But I reckon a deal can be done for 70, 75.For me, he's not worth more than 55.you could argue is not worth more than 50.But I, I would overpay to get that deal done.United hate doing it though.They absolutely hate doing it.

Somebody just said there's an update from MUFC MPB.I love that account.You know what I know it sort of died and came back but it's still it's still breathing.

Reminds me of summer past.Real Madrid are open to considering the departure of Chiumini.The player would like to stay, but Klubb are contemplating selling him.

Man United have expressed strong interest to Chiumini's agents.And that's coming in from Gianluigi Longiare, who is a journalist of some description, TV dello Sport.Sounds Italian.Don't know why an Italian journalistwould know about a Real Madrid player moving to Man United.I always am a little bit dubious about that.

But then again, Fabrizio, you know, started out like that.Mati Moreto is very good.Di Marzio did have a good summer.To be honest with you, I wouldn't say that's breaking news.That's regurgitation of truth.Absolutely.

I know for a fact that Man United have held talks with Chiumini's agents well before the summer.We know he's a dream signing, as has been confirmed by very credible sources such as Fabrizio Romano.We know that Real Madrid may look to cash in.And actually, we also know that Chiumini would be happy to sign for Man United.

So that deal can be done.The barrier, as described last night, is the wage.United have a wage structure now, and he is already over that wage structure.I believe he's on about 220 at Real Madrid, 220 grand a week.

United don't want to pay people over 200.And if he's leaving Real Madrid to come to Man United, he's probably going to want a bit of a pay increase as well because it's going to be one of his last contracts because he's in his mid -20s and it'll be a long contract.I think you drop 250 on the table and he takes it.Will United drop £250 ,000 on the table?I think £250 ,000 a week for Tumini at 26 from Real Madrid is good value.It's just, honestly, from what I know and what I've read, that deal can be done if Real Madrid want to sell him.

If Real Madrid want to sell him, we can get him.The problem's going to be we've already walked away from deals this year because of money.We walked away from Anderson.We walked away from Tonali.We walked away from Diamonde on money.Why would I believe that we wouldn't walk away again?

So that's the concern with that.But it's definitely, definitely doable.You know, definitely doable.

I want to go to the next question.Alex Scott, a little bit like that.I want to talk about the striker situation, but just a few things from the World Cup, by the way.

It's almost a World Cup minute or two, two minutes, right?World Cup roundup then.First of all, Nathaniel Brown left back.We've been linked to him a lot.He's having a very good World Cup with Germany.He is going to sign for Bayern Munich.

They haven't actually agreed a deal yet, but it will happen.So he's not a target for Man United.We'll talk about Balogun in a minute.Manu Kone for France last night.I predicted at 10 o 'clock last night that by midnight people would be talking about him.It wasn't quite midnight.

It was 2 a .m.because the game got delayed for two hours because of the rain.He was very good, Manu Kone.In fact, he played instead of Tuomini, which is quite ironic because we had talks with Manu Kone last summer about coming to Manchester United.And he's a decent player, Manu Kone.

And again, he actually is somebody that can do the six role very, very well.Look, I'm not scouting Manu Kone after a decent game France against Iraq.Some people were on social media last night.He's a good player.He's a player that we've scouted before.If your awakening is watching him play for France last night, that's absolutely fine.

But United have scouted him before.I'd be very comfortable with this going for him.I think he's a decent player.I'd rather have gone for him than Edison, to be honest.And I don't know why we didn't.And I'm not saying Edison won't work, but Manu Kone would have been better, I think.

But we're not going to buy Manu Kone and Edison.from the Italian league.So that's why it's quiet on him.But we did scout him and we did look at him last summer.And I don't know why we never went back in this summer.Maybe it's price.

Maybe it was going to be more expensive.But he's not on the radar at the moment, despite the fact that he would legitimately have been a good target.Latore Martinez played for Argentina last night and was fantastic again.Fantastic.Their defence is so good and he was so good in it.This is great.

morons were writing Latorre Martinez off, saying we need to get rid of him as well as De Ligt is injury prone.Look, maybe he is motivated more by playing for Argentina in the World Cup than, you know, games for Man United at the end of the season.I don't know.Maybe he is.Maybe he's right to be like that.But what you can't argue with is that the World Cup is intense and he's playing every minute of every game so far.

and looks absolutely on it.Why people would think he's going to struggle with the Premier League next year when he's not struggling with Argentina.I think he's I think he's absolutely fantastic.I've just called him Lissandro Martinez.You know who I mean.The centre back for Manchester United.

You know, the guy we've spoken about multiple times.We couldn't give a shit about Inter's striker.What did I?

I thought I said Lissandro.Did I call him Latoro?I'm operator people are going Lissandro and I'm going I think I did call him Lissandro.Did I call him Latoro?

I'm operating on four hours sleep You know what you're a hard you're a hard audience you are because you know exactly who I'm fucking talking about You know exactly who I'm talking about talk about Pat the butcher.Anyway, he's He's looking very good.And that's a good sign for Man United next season Very, very happy with him.

And then finally, just on the World Cup stuff, before I go back to some of the stuff in the Athletic, Balogun, Balogun for the USA.

I'll be honest, I wouldn't do this deal because I'm very stubborn.and I haven't really seen him play apart from in the World Cup.So I'd be scouting him on the World Cup, which I hate.However, he has apparently scored a lot of goals for Monaco, which I haven't seen.He is still only 24.He has only got two years left on his contract and apparently he would like to come back to the Premier League.

So I put this completely to you as we leave the World Cup update section and go back to what's being said in the Athletic.Would you sign Balogun as the second striker for Manchester United?Now, look, honestly, I'd take him over Xerxe.If that was the choice, Balogun or Xerxe, I would do it.

My reservation is, and I won't be a hypocrite, is I don't really know much about him beyond some decent performances in the World Cup for the USA.And I refuse to do that.

I refuse to do a Karol Poborski.Oh, he looks good.Let's sign him.I can't do it.So it's a no.I would sign Undov, Savage.

I would sign Undov from Stuttgart.I think he's too old for us at 29, but I think he'd be perfect as a sort of experienced backup striker.Brilliant season for Stuttgart.Obviously, he's done well in the World Cup.I would go there.But, yeah.

Brobby as well.You know, Brobby's a good shout.And Brobby's not about the World Cup.I know he's had a good World Cup, but we've seen him at Sunderland as well.And you know what?How many journalists used Brian Brobby as a reason to stick the knife in on Ten Haag?

And will they apologise and say they were wrong?Because Brobby clearly was a good prospect and Ten Haag clearly was right about it.and Broby is an interesting player.I just think he'd be out of our range price -wise because Sunderland would probably want north of 50 million, which we won't pay.But you know, Broby would be an interesting one.What I like about Broby is his physicality.

is really difficult to deal with.And my prediction with him is that he will go somewhere and be a real problem because he can deal with very, very good centre -backs because of his physicality.Only just 24 as well.I think Brobby's an interesting one, but the prize for him will be prohibitive.So look, there are options in the striker market.You know, we can't argue about that.

Whether we can get any of them in or not, I don't know.Why is Tenali on the thumbnail, says John?Well, this brings us back to where I wanted to go with this.So effectively, what we're getting on Man United this morning, we've spoken about the Fernandes situation and a couple of others.But effectively, in The Athletic today, it talks about the midfield options for Manchester United.And it basically is saying that beyond the...

What's going on here this morning?Why?That's fine.I've got it now.I don't know what it was doing.There's an update on Rashford as well that I need to give you as well.

Other than...So this is The Athletic, Laurie Whitwell, etc.Other than Mateus Fernandes, Man United have made inquiries around a deal for Alex Scott.Bournemouth are attempting to renew that contract, which is two years left to run.Any new deal would include a release clause of 75 million.But remember, he hasn't signed that deal.

And let me just say on Alex Scott, He feels like he's a definitive.Well, there's two things to say about Alex Scott.He's either a definitive backup to Fernandes if that deal falls through and he maybe does sign for Spurs or he's the player that we're going for next.And I think that that's something very important to remember.Like it or not, Manchester United are very slow at doing deals.So, yes, Alex Scott could be a

player that we're looking at as a backup if we don't get Mateus Fernandes, but he could also be a player that we're going for after Mateus Fernandes because we can only work on one deal at a time.So definitely do Keep your eye on that one.And also remember, Bournemouth may be about to put a release clause of 75 million pounds in his contract if he signs it.But if Alex Scott says, I'm not signing it, I want to leave, a la Alvarez.I mean, he's caused some shit, but that's nothing to do with United, Julian Alvarez.Atletico Madrid putting out tweets about how he's not going anywhere.

And then he does an interview after the Argentina game saying, I want to leave.If Alex Scott says, I want to leave to Bournemouth and he's got two years left on his contract, then maybe there'd be a bidding war.But Bournemouth would do well to achieve 65, I think, realistically, even though I don't think he's worth any more than 50.This market is crazy.So Alex Scott might be one to monitor.It might be something that nothing happens with.

Also goes on to say Elliot Anderson would be United's ideal target, but Forrest's demands are considered too great.United hold out longstanding interest in Baleba and Wharton, who are among a range of other midfielders being tracked.So look, I think that update really is Mateus Fernandes is the player that United are working on and no other, but they are very wary that that price could escalate very quickly if Spurs do get to a bid stage.Alex Scott is someone that they're interested in, but nothing is progressing on that at the moment.And Wharton and Belay were long term targets and Anderson was somebody they wanted, but they couldn't afford.So sort of where we've always been, if I'm if I'm being completely honest.

It does go on to talk about other areas for Manchester United.Somerville is one of several options considered if Uniteddecide to strengthen at left wing.Alternatively, United could strengthen at left back with Lewis Hall.And this is something I want to say as well, right?

I don't dispute these updates because I've heard them before.But again, it's the 23rd of June.There is one week left in June and then it's July, right?Calendar bridge.We've known about this window for months.We're very fortunate that Michael came to the Champions League because if it had gone the other way, this summer would have been even more important if last season had been shit.

So, any decent board would have been working on this window for months.Yeah?I think about United's situation in early January, when the results weren't great, when Amrin was still here.If I'm on that board, I'm like, fucking hell, we need to really be ready for the summer.And it's almost like they've gone, oh, Carrick's at the wheel, you know, and stopped it, because what does that even mean?You know what I mean?

Like, what does that even mean?Fernandes, according to Ben Jacobs, we might wait till the next financial year, which is July.So that could run late into July.Who's the third midfielder?And then on top of that, Somerville's an option if we go for a winger and Lewis Hall's an option if we go for a left back.At what point are we going to figure that out?

Can I just ask that question?At what point are we going to figure out whether we're going for a winger or a left back?And should that not have been figured out in March?Because it's about the third update I've heard now where If Man United go for a winger, they might go for Somerville or N 'Jai.But if they go for a left back, they might go for Lewis Hall.At what point are they going to figure that one out?

What is it that's holding you up?What is it that's so, you know, difficult to figure out whether you're going to go for a left winger or a left back?And what football clubdoesn't know what they're planning to do in late June.Do you think Man City, who've got a new manager as well, are sat there going, do we want another striker or do we want another centre -back?Do you think Liverpool are going, hmm, do we want to sell a replacement or should we go for something nuanced like a right -back?

When we bought Frimpong last year, it's like, why do we not know what we want to do in late June?Some people very much like these updates.Oh, it's Somerville and Hall.Who's it going to be?Could it be both?Will it be neither?

But why don't we know?For me, I'm not on the board, right, but it's a left back.Luke Shaw is over 30.

It never does end up being a good window.So I think that there is plenty of time.You can get Mateus Fernandes, you can get Chiomini and we've achieved a decent midfield there.You can do those deals.Absolutely you can.But the noises coming out don't sound very structured.

Mateus Fernandes sounds like a deal where if Spurs don't bid, we're OK, but if they do, we're in trouble.Well, that's not in our hands.Ciamini is definitely a deal where if Real Madrid sell, we've got to break our wage structure.Well, that doesn't sound massively encouraging.And people like Somerville and Hall sound like we might do it when we should know whether we want to do it or not.

And I can't figure out why we don't know that.Marlow says United have failed for 13 years and Ineos think they can get us back to the top with a wage limit and reduced staff.

What about spending maximum possible amount and get the best possible players?Well, I think in football, that's what you should do, Marlow.At its very core, supporting Manchester United is escapism, isn't it?you know, whether it's transfer windows or Saturday or Sunday afternoon, it's escapism from reality.It's something that binds us together, that we're passionate about, that can, you know, change our emotions.It's fantasy.

And at the end of the day, football, we have no control on what's going to happen, but it grips us like a vice.And I don't support Manchester United or watch football because I like the Financial Times.I watch it because it's fantasy.I loved football as a young age and I love it now.

And it's escapism.And escapism should be.enjoyment and fantasy and hope.

And that's sort of been ripped away from our football club because everything we do is justified on a bank balance of, you know, it's almost like most of my life as a United fan up until the last 10 years, even in the late 80s when we weren't winning the league, was about possibility and hope and excitement.And now it's about reality and, you know, whatever this bullshit is that we're being sold now.

But United was always about the promised land, Dare to Dream, and all that, risks.And they've sucked it out of us.

The amount of United fans I see now, when you say, we should be signing a lease, say, well, it's unrealistic.Look at the debt, look at the wages.We could never afford that.I mean, when did that happen?At what point did that actually become part of our vocabulary as a fan base?Well, I agree with his walking away from Elliot Anderson.

He might be perfect, but the price is ridiculous.I agree with is not going.I agree with is not being held to ransom by West Ham.He might be the he might be the player that makes a massive difference for us.But if it's five million more than I want to pay, I think we should walk away.At what point did that become where we are now?

Stay calm is normally a message that comes out when things aren't good and people are trying to paper over the cracks.So, look, stay calm whatever.We need two more midfielders and probably another three players in different positions.So we probably need about five signings, yeah?And we're approaching the end of July, which means It can be done, but there's not loads of time left to do it and the market price and inflation is going up.We also need to add Rashford in there because we can only do one deal at a time.

So if Rashford had gone to Barcelona, we've got more time.We've still got to solve the Rashford problem, whether it's talks with Rashford for him to stay or talks with Rashford for him to go.We're certainly not at a point where Rashford comes back and everyone goes, oh, forget about it.

You know, there needs to be some negotiations and talks with Rashford at some point.And that takes up more time of this limited window as it is.Now, what the Athletic are saying is that Man United are not willing to negotiate a second loan spell with Barcelona for Rashford and intend to only listen to permanent offers.Well, that's very, very great.Billy, big bollocks.You know, we're Man United.

But as we know, We're Manchester United, Gary, we're Manchester United, never really works.You know, with Brentford last year, we're Manchester United, we're only paying 55 million, we paid 65.We're Manchester United, we're only going to give you 60 for Harry Maguire, we paid 80.We're Manchester, you know, we're Manchester United doesn't tend to work, does it?So we're Manchester United, we're going to get 30 million pounds for Rashford.I don't know that's going to work.

What I can see happening is, We're going to spend a few weeks going, we're Manchester United.And then at the end, we'll end up doing the thing we want to do.want to do anyway, which is going to either be bringing him back, which we don't really want to do, or loaning him, which we don't really want to do.But one of those two things I think happens.I can't see us selling Rashford because we want 25, 30 million pounds and Rashford is entitled to 300 grand a week because he's got two years left on his contract.So you're asking somebody to give Rashford 300 grand a week and Man United 30 million.

Well, I don't think there's a club in the world that does that.So this will end up with Rashford coming back or being loaned.But United are sat there at the moment saying they don't want to do either.So they're going to have to back down because the meal ticket is not going to happen.And maybe Saudi would do it, but why should Rashford go to Saudi?So I think with Rashford, we're just going to waste time.

Elliot says, I've set a new rule for myself this window.Don't be happy or angry until the end, mostly because their PR strategy so far has been extremely weird.Elliot, I think it comes across with myself.I'm quite the same.I don't trust them.I think we've been delivered a load of shit.
