UPDATE! 2 million of you came alongside me to hate on the design of the columns in my home

What is this? This is our only walkway from the kitchen to the living room. What is this? An update on the ugly column situation in my home. I think we have a solution. First, we took off all of that ugly white Romanesque wrapping, so now it is just the original exposed splinter columns with some splattered paint.
