US–Iran War: The Real Root Cause

The fight Trump has started with Iran, it's not like Trump because he wants to drop bombs on Iran. For decades, all the presidents in the US, Biden, Obama, Bill Clinton, have used billions of dollars to tackle Iran. The question is, why are all these things happening? The US gave the nuclear technology to Iran. So what has changed in the US that it is ready to go to any extent to remove this nuclear from Iran?

And today, the US is attacking Iran. The US has attacked. But why has Iran started attacking the Gulf countries, UAE, Saudi Arabia, leaving the US? Look, to understand this whole game, we will have to go back a little. Only then will all these things become clear. If you look at the data of a map and energy at this time,

you will understand one thing that Iran is not just a normal country in the Middle East, but it is a big player in the energy politics of the whole world. Iran has so many oil and natural gas reserves that only Iran has the strength to affect the energy supply of the whole world. So, look, all these things these things, in the 1950s,

were with Iran. At that time, all the energy needs of the West were provided by Iran. 16% crude oil, 31% refined products, and 67% bunker fuels.

All this was provided by Iran. So, what did the Western countries do? They created a political and diplomatic pressure and signed such agreements with Iran. The land was of Iran, oil was of Iran, the oil field workers were also of Iran. But Britain was taking the actual advantage.

And this was going on for years. But after some time, in the year 1951, PM Mossadegh becomes the PM of Iran. And things change from here. He said that all these things are wrong. We have our land, we have our oil, we will have the first right on it. He came and nationalized Iran's oil.

Meaning that now the real profit of Iran's oil will be given to the people of Iran. Britain and the West countries will get less. PM Sadiq did this but he had no idea how big a problem he was going to be in. The nationalization of oil in Iran was not liked by the US and Britain. Britain was directly losing money and the US was also very scared that PM Musadik would go and join hands with the Soviet Union. To deal with this problem, the US CIA and the British MI6 started Operation Ajax. First, they arrested PM Moussadiq and put him in jail.

Shah Mohammad Reza Pehlvi, who was already a US official, increased his power and started running things on his own. This made Iran an allied state with US. From foreign policy to oil deals, US was directly influenced by Iran. Iranians took the PM's arrest and deal as an insult. Iranians said US was talking about democracy all over the world. But US chose an elected PM from of Iran with a western system. And this death to America started from here.

Even today, you will find people in Iran who call Shah a puppet of the US. Iran has very strong anti-American sentiments. If you look at the map of Iran at that time, Iran was at a point where the Soviet Union ended and the Middle East started. The US wanted to keep Iran as a buffer state between the Soviet Union and the Middle East. So that Iran could keep the Soviet Union away from the oil of the Middle East.

In this period, the US started to make Iran strong and equipped. And by doing this, a few years later, in 1957, the US brought the Atoms for Peace program. In this, the US gave Iran nuclear technology. And not just for the name sake. The knowledge of nuclear, nuclear technology, the entire nuclear ecosystem was transferred to Iran by the US. They built the Tehran Nuclear Research Center in Tehran University.

Iran's scientists were sent to MIT. In fact, the US equipped Iran for medical research. The nuclear system is also used in medical research. Along with cancer, the thalassemia patients use nuclear imaging to check their iron levels. Iran is one of the most affected countries.

We have already discussed all this in detail in the US dollar video. And because of all these reasons, the US dollar flow spread all over the world. It also became a global reserve currency. But at the start of the year 1971, countries had a doubt that the US doesn't have as much gold as the dollars are circulating in the world. So countries like France started asking for gold in exchange for dollars.

And when the pressure was too much, on 15th August 1971, US President Nixon announced that gold will not be available in exchange for the American dollar. This is also called the Nixon Shock. But when Nixon was shocked by all these things, the trust of the countries on the dollar started to diminish. Somewhere the US also felt that something had to be done

or else the trust of the countries will be lost and they will not keep the dollar in their reserve. This will reduce the dominance of the dollar in the world. The impact will be on the US will lose its dominance in the world. The US hegemony will be affected. So, the US started looking for gold replacement. So that the world can depend on the dollar. At this time, the US saw that oil has become a universal commodity for the world.

Without which, the work of countries cannot be done. And the largest oil reserve was in Iran, Saudi, Kuwait, Iraq, and the Middle East. So, in 1974, the US reached out to Saudi Arabia and made an arrangement. They told Saudi Arabia to sell the oil they were buying to them in dollars and not in any other currency. The problem is that if Saudi Arabia sells everything in dollars, then a lot of dollars will come. What will they do with that dollar? Because they are not getting available in exchange for dollars.

So the US said, invest this in the US economy and treasury bonds. And we will give you security guarantees and protection. Now, the Saudi royal family, their countries had a lot of danger of religious opposition, military coups. And if US support came with them, it meant that no one could touch them. If the US is saying that it will give security guarantee, it means that US is behind them. No one will be able to touch them.

And for Saudi, it was not a big deal to buy oil only in dollars. Because the dollar was already a global currency. People were buying in dollars. So Saudi agreed to this. And within a year, till 1975, Saudi, which was a popular country at that time, convinced other OPEC countries to do the same.

And oil started being sold in dollars. This also helped in setting the prices of oil. This made the US a permanent demand for dollars. This meant that oil demand was a dollar demand. And being a dollar demand meant being a dollar dominance. Being a US pimp. And the demand of the dollar means the dominance of the dollar. The US being the dominant.

And the oil-selling dollars are called Petrodollars. And this cycle is called Petrodollar recycling. So what happened was that after Petrodollar recycling, the dollars that were invested in the US, the money that came to the US, the US used to strengthen its military with it.

And using this military, it used to make sure that the system of Petrodollar was maintained in the Middle East as it is. And no other country had this kind of advantage. If you look at any conflict in the Middle East, its root will be connected to this. Whoever tried to sell oil in any currency other than the dollar, became the enemy of the US. This was the situation in Gaddafi, Saddam, and even Venezuela. Saddam tried to settle the Euro with the dollar.

Similarly, Gaddafi proposed the gold-backed African currency. All these things that I am telling you, when we come to the current conflict, all these things will make sense. Just wait a little. After this, the system that the US had built in the Middle East, all of this was going on very well. No major oil producing country was made against the US in the Middle East.

But after this, the year comes, 1979. And the US feels a big shock in the Middle East this year. Iran, which was the US's most trusted oil producing ally in the Middle East, there, Ayatollah Khomeini takes the people of Iran with Tonight, Iran stands at a historic turning point as mass protests shake the foundations of the Shah's rule. And exiled leader, Ruhola Khomeini,

emerges at the center of a rapidly unfolding revolution.

And they take the Shah and the US out of Iran and make it an Islamic Republic. How did all this happen? We have already discussed in the video on Iran. So I won't go into detail. But when this happened, people in Iran were so angry with Shah and the US,

that they attacked the US embassy and arrested all the American diplomats. Because of this one incident, the US's long-term game in Iran ended in a snap. The US shut down all the nuclear projects in Iran, all of which were run by Ayatollah Khomeini. And then, Ayatollah Khomeini also said that this revolution will not be limited to Iran. We will do this in other countries of the Middle East. He said that these Saudis and rulers in the Middle East are corrupt puppets rulers.

They are not yours. The rule of Islam has to be brought to the Middle East. Now after all these things, the only aim of the US was to somehow remove Ay, to remove Khomeini's regime from Iran. But this is not that easy. Iran is so big that it was not possible to attack it and remove the regime. And it was also not possible to protest and remove the regime.

Because the Iranian people were totally against the US. So, a year later, in 1980, the US tries to remove Khomeini and help Iraq in the Iran-Iraq war and remove Khomeini. US intelligence knew that Iraq was attacking Iran with chemical weapons. But US still gave Iraq battle planning assistance. US spent billions of dollars. But nothing happened.

This war went on. It was a stalemate. No one won or lost. And when this war ended, it had a very opposite impact on Iran's thinking. The scope of talks with the US was also lost.

The chemical weapons that were used on the people in this Iran-Iraq war, if you search for Sardasht chemical attack, you will still find its picture. So when the war was going on, Iran went to the UN multiple times, to the countries all over the world, saying that we did not use chemical weapons but are killing civilians. But the UN did not listen to them.

Iran understood that the US will not stay quiet. They will have to do it alone. No one would come to help him. And at the same time, Iran had a group that was in favor of a long-term strategic tool like nuclear to save itself from the US. But Ayatollah Khomeini

was against nuclear weapons. He believed that weapons of mass destruction were against the principles of Islam. So, until Ayatollah Khomeini was alive, there was not much discussion about nuclear weapons. But what happens is that in 1989, Ayatollah Khomeini dies and Ali Khomeini comes to power. And at this time, Iran's situation was such that on one hand, the US-backed Arabs were against it.

They were against Israel. They were busy changing the US regime. So Iran did a few things. Instead of fighting directly with the US, the small groups in the Middle East who were against Israel and Arab royal families like Saudi, Bahrain, UAE, like Hamas in Palestine,

Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthis in Yemen, started supporting them with money and weapons. They made them their proxy. This strategy was called forward defense and axis of resistance. This led was called Forward Defense and Axis of Resistance.

So what happened was that the poor in the Middle East, who were supporters of Palestine, against Israel, or were angry with their government, or with the Arab family, Iran projected itself in front of them

that we are with Palestine, we are against Israel, and we are against your country's corrupt royal family, which is the US puppet. So Iran got an advantage of this. This was shown in a section of the Muslim Ummah, which was not Shia-Sunni.

And when this happened, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, their royal families were also scared. They thought that Iran should not make a revolution in their country. And they were trying to become the leader of the Muslim Ummahah, what if this really happens? And if Iran becomes stronger than us and gets nuclear, then it will be very difficult to stop Iran and its purpose. So Saudi Arabia got closer to the US with its security guarantees. In fact, it motivated the US to do something about Iran.

And then the second step that Iran took, during the Shah's time, the US gave Iran nuclear reactors, it started reviving them. The scientists, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, The second step taken by Iran was to revive the nuclear reactors given to Iran by the US during the Shah's time. Scientists Mohsin Fakhrizadeh were given the task to start a uranium enrichment program in Iran's Natanz and Ark locations. But by 2002, the MEK, an opposition in Iran, held a press conference and made both the nuclear sites. In this conflict, it is important to understand that the raw uranium that comes out of the ground

has more than 99% of U-238 isotope in its mixture and less than 1% of U-235 isotope. This U-235 is used for nuclear use. The percentage of U-235 in the to produce the energy. The percentage of U-235 in raw uranium is called enrichment. If the percentage of U-235 is 3-5%, then it can be used in electricity. But if the enrichment is 90%, then it can be used in nuclear weapons.

When the world came to know about the nuclear program at this time, Iran said that we are not making weapons, we are just enriching 1-2% for electricity. But seeing all this, the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, their team reaches the site, they get particles to make highly enriched uranium. So, this puts a lot of international pressure on Iran. So, Iran stops its nuclear program at this time.

So at this time, the nuclear program stopped. But at the same time, another thing happens that it's need is again met. What happens is that Saddam Hussein, who was against the US, was caught by the US and the regime changed him in Iraq. And after doing this, the US started calling Iran the Axis of Evil. On one hand, the US invaded Iraq. On the other, the US was in Afghanistan.

And slowly, the US started encircling Iran and putting pressure on it. This Saddam incident had a huge impact on Iran. From here, Iran realized that the country that is in the US hit list, it is destined to go. There is only one North Korea, which is also in the US hit list, but the US doesn't touch it. And it doesn't do it just because it has nuclear. So from here Iran thought that if it wants its survival and wants to save itself from the US,

then there is only one way to make its nuclear, otherwise like Saddam, we will also face the same situation. So after seeing all these things, again Iran's President Mahmood, after seeing this, cancelled all the nuclear deals and agreements and started nuclear enrichment again in the Fordo mountains of Iran. The US could not afford to become nuclear to Iran. Because if Iran gets nuclear,

then no pressure or threat won't work. That's why Gulf countries gave acceptance to sell the dollar in oil. So if Iran becomes a nuclear power and becomes aggressive on Gulf countries or talks about bringing revolution, then all the security guarantees of the US will be on paper. It won't be able to do anything. So, all this means that if Iran becomes a nuclear power, the game of the US since 1974, the entire petrodollar system and the dominance of the dollar will be impacted in a jiffy. The US can afford anything but the US cannot afford to make Iran a nuclear country at any cost. As soon as the US found out that Iran was restarting its nuclear program,

their and Israel's intelligence was very deep. They knew everything. So the US and Israel did not attack directly, but created a virus called Stux and left it at their nuclear facility. All the centrifuges in the nuclear facility that enriched uranium, they all broke down after a necessary spin. And along with this, the scientists of Iran who were actually running this program, like Masood Ali, Majid, Daryansh, Mustafa Ahmadi, all of them had a mysterious accident with them at some point and they started dying.

Some started their car and it crashed, And then, at some point, they met with a mysterious accident and died. Some people lost their cars, some people fell off the road. So, all these things started happening and the nuclear program of Iran started getting delayed. But Iran didn't stop. It somehow continued to make its program. Because Iran believed that if it couldn't make nuclear, then it's fate. So, Iran started to start enrichment in different places under the mountains. And because of this, a chain started in which Iran is making its nuclear program in different ways.

And on the other hand, America and Israel are tracking it and stopping it by running different missions. This thing went on for many years. But after this, 2009 comes. Obama enters the country as the president. At this time, Iran and the US were trying to stop the nuclear agreement. They said that instead of attacking,

if we bring Iran to the table and sign a nuclear agreement, the nuclear program will stop and the situation will not be like a war. But Iran was not okay with such a nuclear program. This was because the US had also signed an agreement with Gaddafi. Gaddafi had also closed his nuclear program and given it to the US. But even after that, Gaddafi was killed.

So Iran believed that the US bringing this agreement is just a way to buy time. It is a way to weaken Iran. And when they agree to this, they will remove it and then they will be finished. When Iran was not agreeing, Obama put heavy sanctions on Iran

from back to back. He put sanctions on all banks. He put sanctions on the country that tried to buy oil from Iran. Iran was not able to sell oil even after having so much oil. The economy was sinking.

Closing the payment system was creating a huge problem. Forget about luxury items, even basic medicines were facing problems. Because even if a country gives medicines, how will it pay Iran? In the hospital, anesthesia was reduced. So, operations were not even possible. And when the situation worsened due to sanctions, Iran got ready for the agreement.

On July 2015, Iran signed the JCPOA agreement in Vienna. Iran was given a deal to enrich its territory by 3.67%. But the IAEA inspectors will monitor the agreement 24 hours a day. Both countries agreed to this agreement. Iran's sanctions were eased. Everyone was happy with this agreement.

And things started moving forward. But three years later, in 2018, Trump enters the country. After becoming president, Trump says that the nuclear deal Obama has made with Iran is a huge blunder that will cause a huge loss to the US. First, he said that the agreement has so many problems. The basic ballistic missiles etc. Obama has not covered them in this agreement.

On top of that, the important clauses will expire after some time. And in that case, Iran will become stronger legally. Trump said that the JCPOs that Obama has signed have trapped the US in a trap. This will not do any good.

Iran will only get time. It will become stronger. And then it will be too late to stop Iran from making nuclear. Trump breaks Obama's JCPO deal and officially expels the US from this deal. Obama's 5 year hard work ends in a snap. And after this deal breaks, the same situation arises again.

Iran started breaking the limit of uranium enrichment very quickly. And from here Trump threatened back to back that it must be stopped immediately or else the consequences will be very bad. A war situation arose between Iran and the US. The US killed Iran's second most powerful man Qasem Soleimani.

Iran attacked the US airbase. And before the war started, Biden came in power. When Trump came as president, then Iran's uranium enrichment was up to 3.67%. And by the time Trump left, it was more than 20%.

So despite all this, no solution was found. After Biden's arrival, the JCPO deal was to be revived. But Iran already said that the deal would be done only if there was a guarantee that the next president would not be able to exit. So this was not Biden's doing. So a negotiation was going on regarding all these things. And then in the month of April 2021,

when this negotiation was going on between the Iranian team and the US team, in the middle of the negotiation, on 11th of April 2021, the Natanz enrichment facility of Iran was bombed by Israel. And all the advanced IRC centrifuges were blown up.

This made Iran very angry. That on one side, there is a negotiation and on the other side, a bomb is being dropped on us. So, all this won't work. And the situation got worse. To answer this, Iran didn't attack

Israel directly, but said that we have been attacked and we will do 60% nuclear enrichment as a penalty. And warned that we can do up to 90% if we want to, but we are doing only 60%. But if such an attack happens again, we will do up to 90%. So, on 11th of April 2021, this attack took place and Iran did 60% nuclear enrichment by 11th May 2021.

And the whole world came to know about this because the IAEA confirmed this in its report as well. That Iran has done 60% nuclear enrichment. Other countries also joined in. Iran was also pressured. Because it was very easy to do 90% from here.

The board of governors of the IAEA had 35 member countries vote and passed resolutions against Iran. Iran said that they are cooperating with us, giving you details, monitoring the entire IAEA team, but they are not removing sanctions from us

and are putting pressure on us. So Iran shut down the entry of the IAEA team on the nuclear site. The cameras installed in the nuclear facility were all removed. All the online enrichment monitors, flow rate monitors were removed by Iran.

Because of this, all the 24-hour imagery and online enrichment data was shut down. Iran said that since they are not cooperating, the cameras installed are of no use. But the director of the IAEA, Grohsi, went to Iran, had a talk and cameras were installed again. The cameras were installed again but Iran's nuclear program was so advanced that the 2015 deal was of no use. And Iran is not Syria or Iraq that it attacks and controls. There was no option of regime change because the people of Iran, even if they go against Khomeini, but after being against, it is not that they go and join hands with America.

So a stalemate. And then on March 3, 2023, another thing happens, which makes many people more worried. On this day, the IAEA published a report and said that Iran's nuclear program has now been brought to the 12-day breakout time. 12-day breakout point means that Iran can do 60-90% enrichment in 12 days. But this doesn't mean that nuclear weapons will be ready in so many days. The actual nuclear arm is designed differently.

Core fabrication, assembly, lightweighting in the delivery system, fitting it is a very complex phase. It takes more time. It can take more than 6 months to a year. So the situation started getting worse from here. And for the next 2 years, that is, from 2023 to 2025, the same old game starts.

The US increased pressure points, increased sanctions. Iran also activated its proxies, Hezbollah, Houthis, Hamas. In the meantime, the 7th of October attack happened. Iran and Israel came face to face. Israel dropped a bomb on the nuclear site. All this happened in 2 years. But even after that, Iran somehow managed to hide

and save its nuclear program. And then the year 2025 comes. Which is the previous year. And here again Trump enters. When Trump comes back as President, a few days later, which is March 2025,

he writes a letter to Khomeini and gives a 60-day ultimatum to sign the agreement as soon as possible and stop the nuclear enrichment program or else we will have to bear the military consequences. So, in a few weeks, Iran and US officials start negotiations in Oman but like every time, the nuclear enrichment program gets stuck.

Iran said that they will do 3-4% enrichment, it is our right. But Trump clearly said that the will do the enrichment of 3-4% This is our right But Trump clearly said that enrichment must be stopped And this negotiation ends the 7-day ultimatum in June 2025 And then on 22 June 2025, Operation Midnight Hammer happens In this, US B-2 stealth bombers bomb all the nuclear facilities of Iran Ferdow, Natanz, Isfahan, Karaz

They do heavy bombing in all these places facilities like Ferdow, Natanz, Isfahan, Karaz, etc. Before the US strike, Iran had 440.9 kg 60% enriched uranium. If it had been 90% enriched, it could have produced 10 nuclear weapons. But after the attack, the IAEA mentioned in its report that Iran has somehow saved 200 kgs of 60% enriched uranium. When the satellite was reviewed, it was found that on 12 June 2025, many trucks came to Iran's nuclear sites, which went inside and then went out after a while.

After that, they went in different directions. So, it means that Iran saved so much enrichment and shifted it. And such attacks were happening on Iran. So what Iran does is, the advanced centrifuges, in which all things are made,

in the back-up, the spare parts are kept separately, so that if needed, they can be assembled and used. And they are safe from attacks. So even after this attack,

Iran saved the nuclear. But Trump said that this operation was successful, we have blown up all the nuclear power plants and announced our victory. The attack by the US delayed Iran's nuclear program but Iran transferred all the underground compounds in Minza and Dehi and started working again. So, the situation has returned to where it all started. All these things are of no use. Now the situation is that the agreements are not working. The US is tired of destroying nuclear plants.

So after this, in December 2025, protests start in Iran. Normally, protests are held in Iran, but in small areas. But this time, in December 2025, that is a few months ago, the protests that took place this time were on a very large scale.

These protests spread in about 10-17 provinces in Iran. In Tehran, the Grand Bazaar shuts down as merchants join mass protests against Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi,

marking a major escalation in the revolution.

Normally, Iran shuts down the internet at such times. But when Iran shut down the internet this time, it was found that 40,000-50,000 of Elon Musk's Starlink terminals were running illegally in Iran. With the help of this, the protesters started coordinating. Iran clearly stated that the US is doing all this

for regime change in Iran. Because they said that they have caught Mossad and CIA agents from inside the protest. Secondly, this year, in the US budget, the tools that bypass internet censorship like VPN, proxy server etc. were allotted a dedicated fund for this.

So all this blame was given to the US. In fact, at this time, Trump was also telling the Iranian protesters that you guys keep going, we'll come to help. But Iran took very strict action. More than 5,000 protesters were killed in Iran. Then the protests stopped.

So in total, the protest idea was not achieved from here. Now let's come to the current year. On 6th of February, 2026, the same negotiation started again. All the negotiations started in Oman. But this time, when the negotiations were started by Trump, the US surrounded Iran from all sides and started a military build-up.

And in this negotiation, Iran gave positive signals. The US's maximum demand was met. In fact, progress was so good that Oman also stated that there will be a breakthrough soon. Everything is going positive. News of Guardian and others were published everywhere. But the surprising thing was that in the midst of this ongoing discussion, suddenly on 28th February 2026, Trump launched Operation Epic Fury at night.

More than 1000 strikes were made on Iran in 24 hours. He already had intel that Ali Khomeini, the Defense Minister, IRGC Commander, all the Iranian leadership is meeting in Tehran.
