Hurricane Katrina whether you lived in New Orleans or you were from Houston or if you're from surrounding areas like it happened in August of 2005 so in 2005 you know I was like 23 at the time working at the bank. I, I, we were greatly impacted by this, you know, like all of the people who were seeking refuge in Houston and then just hearing all the stories of how the natives of New Orleans were let down by the government, police enforcement,

just all around, like just hearing the stories and now like watching it again. Of course, I've watched When the Levees Broke, that's a really good documentary to watch. But Ryan Coogler, y'all already know, a black director, he directed The Black Panther. So y'all already know he's a good ass director. So this is his film. Y'all this is so good. If y'all have time to watch this, only three parts.

Each part I think is only like 45 minutes. But it brings up a lot of emotion as well. I didn't live it to where my house was destroyed and I lost friends and family members. I only had to evacuate with the things on my back. I definitely know I do not have the same experience of the people who actually lived through it and lost everything they worked for. But being in Houston and that was the main city

that a lot of people came to, just meeting the people, talking to the people and seeing what they went through, that this is just, it's a lot. It just brings back that emotional like, oh my goodness.

would be big as a house. I would be at these food trucks if not daily definitely weekly so but yeah this burger is good as hell I am about to finish watching the Hurricane Katrina series on Hulu I am on episode 3 and I got about 15 minutes left for episode 3 y'all was so emotional earlier watching it just oh my god just hearing the stories oh my god y'all need to hear it y'all y'all y'all was so emotional earlier watching it. Just, oh my God, just hearing the stories. Oh my God, y'all need to hear it.

Y'all gotta watch this. Especially if it affected you, you gotta watch. If you're from Houston or from Louisiana, you definitely gotta watch this. It's very good. But I know some people might not wanna open

that wound back up, which I understand. I didn't lose any friends or family or my property. And me getting emotional just watching it is just like, so I understand the people who actually survived it. This lady was talking about getting rescued and she said as they, she got on the boat and they were taking her to the Superdome. She said that she saw a baby girl floating. She said she was hair freshly done,

outfit on, but floating in the water. And she asked the Coast Guard or whoever it was, I think it was Coast Guard that was rescuing people. But she asked the government personnel, that's what I'm gonna say, cause I don't know if it's a police,

I don't know, I don't remember what she said their title was, but she asked him, can I, can you stop real quick and I can pick up, you know, this baby's body and bring it to the Superdome because maybe the parents are looking for her possibly. He was like, no ma'am, we can still take the baby out of the water and just take it with me and possibly give it to the medical staff over by the Superdome so this baby can, you know, get a proper burial. I just want to make sure that this baby shouldn't be floating in the water. She said this man picked up a stick, pushed the baby into the water and away from the boat,

and sped off and said, we're not worried about dead bodies. We're only worried about survivors. I don't know the weight of what the rescue teams had on them. I don't know. I can't even imagine. I can't fathom. I'm quite sure they were hungry and sleepy and stressed out just like the victims. I'm sure they were. But the time it took you to grab a stick and press the baby's body into the water, the lady could have leaned over and picked the baby up

and grabbed it and wrapped it and took it with her.

she well she posted him and her before and after of her brows she's Asian so of

Uh, yeah, she's Asian so her brows are a different texture. They're like really like a lot thinner and anyways, so I'm like if he can make her brows look like that, my brows are a lot thicker, the hairs are thicker, coarse. I'm like, you know, I'm sure he can make my brows look amazing so fingers crossed I hope so because this is very expensive this is not cheap and it's time-consuming I think altogether he said it's gonna take like an hour and a half hour and 45 minutes which for brows you know you

used to getting your eyebrows done I go in in, I go to the nail shop, get my eyebrows done in 10 minutes, you know, so an hour and a half is a lot. And then it's $110 and then y'all know I'm a tipper, so I'm going to tip on top of that of course.

I just pray that they last and that I like them. I told Tina I was going and Tina was like now you know you could have watched a tutorial on on TikTok or YouTube and you could do it yourself. We have a wax eyebrows I was I would tint eyebrows so I knew how to do it back then That was 20 years ago when I was finished with esthetician school. I never worked at a Spa I went straight into the medical end of it so I worked at a med spa which we didn't do facials we didn't do eyebrows we did laser hair removal

cellulite reduction, skin resurfacing, laser treatments for wrinkles, laser treatments for dark spots you know stuff like that. Me only doing that while I was in school and then working for years in the field you know the med spa I just I don't remember how to do no eyebrow tinting and all that I don't remember how to do all that no more. Tina was like it's basically like just a perm for your eyebrows she's like that's really what it is he's gonna be perming your

eyebrows to make the hair strands look longer and the tint is gonna make your eyebrows look thicker she was like girl you can do that yourself I'm like okay okay let me pay for that let me pay for it this time but maybe next time maybe maybe I'll try it myself we'll see so yeah that's where I'm headed afterwards probably go get something to eat and that's really itall, just got here about to get started.

I'm gonna meal prep, yeah, just a little bit more, and then I should be done. I should be good for like the next three days. Hmm, not three days, I'm lying.

About four days, about four days, I should be good.

Okay, so this is the meal prep I made. It don't look like nothing, just bell pepper, onion, ground turkey, sweet potato. And it's a really big sweet potato, so I cut it into thirds. So I'm heating one up right now. I was gonna meal prep some steak,

but steak is one of those if you overcook it, it's gonna taste like a boo. It's gonna be tough as a boo. So I just decided when I when I want steak, I'm gonna cook my steak when I want it. Like this morning, I had steak, an over easy egg, and grilled onions. And it was very good, it was very nice.

And I had cooked two steaks, so for lunch, I had the steak that I had already made. And I made a medium, medium like, medium well, I'd say it was a little bit of pink on the inside. And I ate that with a little small piece of the sweet potato and more grilled onion.

that's pretty good.

This one of the meals that my boo be eating all the time when he eats healthy. I'm like, let me try it and it's very good. I should have cut my peppers smaller though. And then for lunch, I want a snack. I have this.

I made this last night. I just chopped up cucumbers and I used this sugar free Italian dressing and then I used pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and I think that's it. Yeah that's it because I didn't put any salt on here. Yeah, that's all I use. Very, very, very good just to get a couple little scoops. Then this will be my snack tomorrow as well.

I might add some tuna to it.

I actually think I wanna buy some more turkey meat
