Welcome back home Lorenzo!Most beautiful sound ever!How been the first night with Lorenzo?

It was a little bit tough because we were expecting that he might come back with his NICU schedule and he said I'm throwing it out the window!So yeah, it's gonna take some adjusting to figure out what he, like where his schedule is gonna be.Because it's different than what we had done in the NICU, but that's okay.

Last night you saved the family because I was super tired, you sent me to sleep.

I slept two hours, two or three hours in total.I said go in bed because I got it.I had like a second wind, so I stayed up with him.all night and he was crying constantly for food like in the NICU was eating every three hours here was eating every hour and a half yeah he was constantly but eating more than what they would suggest to the NICU plus cleaning the pieces we don't have everything I know it was like crazy and honestly like we had we thought we had some more time so we ordered a bunch of stuff it hasn't come in yet so we're like trying to make it with the bare minimum of what we need um but yeah I don't really care and now yeah we did even the first bath at home last night I'm just so grateful and I just kept like in the night it's okay okaylooking at him and I couldn't believe he was here and that he did it he got out of the NICU and actually he's in this room for the first time sleepy yeah like and just to see him here in our in our home in our environment was just so surreal and like can't stop crying um he's sleeping right now but um really grateful.

We are so grateful, yeah.

I mean it's incredible what he's done.

It's incredible what he's done because...I mean, he's sped up so fast and then now he's home here.And it's a new life from the NICU here.It's a new life, new adventure.We're just so grateful.Even if the NICU was a little bit as cool for us for a lot of things, you know, feeding is going really well.

Like we're learning how to do everything.So we're good at that.We're good even to change diapers, of course.We have our system.It was just because we were in the house.And we, I don't know, where we put Lorenzo and then...

Right, like the...Positioning.Routine is different because like in the NIC you've got, oh, we're going to put him here to change him, here for a bath, here to...And even though in our minds we had like kind of mapped out the little spaces that we were going to do, it just wasn't working as like fluidly.

But we're going to figure it out.We're going to find the right flow.And we're so grateful for his medical team, the nurses, God.to you guys for all the prayers and for getting us to this point and for just always loving our family through good and bad times.

How did Mija react to Lorenzo?

Mija didn't care.She kind of looked at him from afar and thenjust kind of went on her way I mean I think you're just gonna take her a little bit of time to get used to because we've been telling her and kind of like it's taking his clothes from the NICU, letting her smell them.She had her routine yesterday and suddenly it was really disrupted.

I see her a little bit nervous because she no eat.

Yeah, she's not really eating and she usually snuggles with us a lot.This is the first time in their house it's going to be different smells, different sounds, different environment, a different bed than what he's used to.Everything for him is totally different.So I'm not surprised at all that he had a really kind of like tough time transitioning and feeling like comfortable and safe.So yeah, we just took turns holding him and taking care of him in the night.And I think we're just going to figure it out.

We're just going to take our time to get used to it.Lorenzo's going to learn how things are going here, what his bed is like, and we're going to get used to it.
