“What An IDIOT!” | Prince Harry Could Face MILLIONS in Legal Costs From Daily Mail Court Case

Let's go over and talk to the host of Kinsey Schofield, Unfiltered, Kinsey Schofield.Well, the first thing we're learning here, Kinsey, is that it was assumed that insurance policies would cover most of the costs of Harry and Elton and the gang, but that doesn't look to be the case.So they are facing a massive bill at the moment.

Yeah, the court, Harry's team, claims that they've only obtained insurance to cover a combination of £16 .2 million, which, you know...

Leaves them £18 million short, doesn't it?

£18 million.Yeah, I mean, that's unbelievable.I just thought, I just think the real hero here, if you read word for word the argument of the Daily Mail for why they should take on this cost, I think that whoever wrote that is the real hero.When they go into how inappropriate it was to bring this case in the first place, they discuss a press release that was sent initially, where Harry and co made all of these claims about how the Daily Mail spied on them.And they were very specific in the claims.And the court says these claims were never actually even presented in court.

So, you know, this was as much a pursuit of the court of public opinion as it was trying to win this case in general, that they would be, in their argument, dishonest about some of the actual scenarios that they presented before the trial even began, that they never actually even presented in court.And they say that ultimately, this is hacked off and co, recruiting useful idiots like Prince Harry to try to take down the Daily Mail.And, you know, that didn't happen because they did not have anything of value to present to prove that they had been hacked or that they had been pursued illegally through any of these stories that they presented to the court.

Now, Prince Harry gets very hot under the collar about his reputation for being dumb, for being thick, for being stupid.And I think that's an outrageous suggestion to make about a man who's heir to the throne.Of course, I disassociate myself from all those vile accusations.But this guy...Prince Harry, he loses this case hands down.Now, you cannot overstate the humiliation that he, Elton John, David Furnish, Liz Hurley, Sadie Frost, and all of them suffered with this verdict from Mr Justice Nicklin, the judge.

There were 97 allegations of phone hacking, illegal information -gathering criminality against 40 Daily Mail journalists, all of whom had to go into the dock, and all of them protested their innocence, and the judge said, all very impressive.When it came to verdict day, the judge threw out almost contemptuously every single one of those 97 allegations.It was a catastrophe.Now, but the next step after that, as anybody with half a brain knows in a legal case like this, is the judge goes away to consider who pays the costs.Obviously, in a libel case, if the person who brought the case or the people who brought the case lostyou know, they're likely to pick up the bill.

But here's how to almost make sure of that.When the judge handed down his verdict on July the 7th, old ginger nuts, Prince Harry, immediately announced that this was a complete and obvious whitewash.Then, Mr Justice Nicklin went away to decide who's going to pay for this extremely expensive case.I think Harry made it pretty obvious that he's going to shoulder most of the bill because of his stupid outburst about obvious whitewash that the King, we know, was particularly furious about.I mean, what an idiot.

What an idiot indeed.It's like your attorney should have known better.Also, that was released about 20 minutes after the verdict was, so you know he didn't have time to read the over 400 pages that the judge so eloquently, so thoughtfully put together.The judge spells out his reasoning for every single instance, you know, in over 400 pages.And it's for dummies.I mean, anybody can read it and go, okay, I digest that and I understand that.

My point is that Harry didn't read it.He just lashed out immediately with that statement, which, to your point, insulted the king's court, insulted his own father's court.And we hear that Harry's so desperate to come back to the UK.Then why would you insult its justice system?That makes absolutely no sense.But I also, Baroness, can you help me with her name?

She...Doreen Lourdes, yeah.Doreen Lawrence co -signs on Harry's, you know...The Harry's hissy fit and it you know, they even go in in court today about how Harry is the one that pursued her because they knew it would look good because she had a dead son.I believe you know, it was I was a Gary Lineker.They were trying to go after someone else too and they said but that person doesn't have a dead son.

So I mean this person was used as a prop as a prop and if I were in her position and now I've got this, you know, this potential life -changing burden when it comes to what I'm going to owe the courts, I would be absolutely livid with Prince Harry.

Yeah, and he may. I would imagine that Meghan Markle's probably not too pleased with her husband right now because, just to reiterate folks, we're waiting for the final accounting on all of this, but essentially, the Associated Newspapers, which owns the Daily Mail, is demanding £34 .5 million, what is that, about $50 million in America, for their legal costs.Now, the celebrities, including Harry and Elton, had legal insurance covering £16 .2 million.which falls way short of 34 .5 million, doesn't it?So these celebs, including Harry, have got to find 18 million quid.And by the way, they've got to find 10 million quid of that.Extremely quickly, because the Associated Newspapers have said, you've got to give us £10 million up front, very fast.

They've got two weeks to find that £10 million.Now we know that Harry and Meghan, for the last year or so, have not exactly been rolling in money.Meghan will be.not like this enormous legal bill that Harry has managed to get for himself, will she?

That's a lot of flower sprinkles she's gonna have to sell to put up with her husband's, you know, very...About five tonnes of them.I know, I mean, like, it's absolutely...It's appalling that Harry pursued this case in the first place.When you do comb through the evidence that was provided, it simply did not exist, Kevin.The fact that they pursued this with such a vengeance, it shows an amount Although, you know, we also should remember that the Telegraph reported that they did try to settle initially, that you could tell that there was some hesitation with them going to court.

Yeah, they did.

They buckled a bit and thought, and then they sought a settlement from the mail which would have involved from the mail some kind of concession that they might have done something wrong and the Daily Mail wasn't having it.Now, this is what the judge said, effectively, to Elton and the gang, or rather Harry Elton and the gang.He said this, look, you've come here with 97 allegations.Now, you have to prove them.You have to have evidence to say, to prove that the phone hacked or used illegal methods.You haven't given us any evidence.

You're asking us to assume... that because you, Harry, can't quite tell us where these stories might have come from, that they must have come from phone hacking.That isn't the way the legal system works.Does it?That's what Judge Nicklin made a big thing of.He said, you cannot build a case on assumption.You have to prove your case.

This case was a massive act of folly by all of them, including Harry, wasn't it?

Well, and Harry says that he wants to...What was it, the Aspen Institute of...Harry wants to have any sort of say whatsoever in journalism.Harry wants to...Harry says that the First Amendment is bonkers.This is a guy that's trying to be a thought leader in this space and he doesn't even understand the basics of journalism.

You're never going to know the source, Harry.It's not like the Daily Mail's going to call you up and say, You know that guy that was over at your house three days ago?He says you did drugs.You know, like they would source it.They would try to find multiple sources that said that they witnessed something specifically.And then they might call the palace and ask for a response to what their sources said.

But otherwise, Harry's not going to be privy to the process of how they secured that story.That's just not the reality.Harry, assuming that he knows all, is an issue that's consistently getting him in trouble in the last six years, when in reality, Harry and Meghan completely refused to do the due diligence of most of the projects that they're associated with and ultimately that's why they fail and that's why it gets them in trouble.But this is probably the biggest failure of Harry's life since stepping down as a member of the British royal family and it's going to cost him significantly financially it's going to hurt him and his family, because I'm sure that that's money he would rather put towards security for his family, which is another thing that he's absolutely obsessed with.And I don't know if you saw the story that said his, Ravik's new assessment of him has actually been pushed back to the back of the line because they have nine prime ministers they have to protect.Like Harry, the world does not revolve around you, buddy.

So it's just proving to be a very difficult reality for Harry, life outside of the British royal family.And you see why he's crawling back.begging Daddy to give him some sort of access again because he's lost without the men in the grey suits guiding him through life.

Yeah, as they say when he arrives in California, apparently he didn't know how to book a restaurant because he's never done it, never paid a bill or anything like that.So yes, he lived in a rather gilded world protected from reality.But I think this story proves now that he's facing this enormous bill, It proves that, old Maxim, that a fool and his money are soon parted.Harry's a fool and he's lost millions of pounds on this fatuous and pointless case against the press.It's a great day for the free press, not a good day for idiot members of the royal family.Bad luck, Harry.
