What REALLY Happened on Singles Inferno 5 (ft. Samuel Lee)
HAHA Podcast
Did you go into the show actually thinking that you would find true love?
I mean, there was a lot of controversy. I was about to like call a helicopter and just leave.
Is your top priority still Min-a-soo? Can you pay to have more screen time?
So I actually lost like 10 pounds on the show.
Who's that girl you were pictured with at the theme park? How much of the show do you think actually aired?
Are you really the grandson of Korea's president Lee Myung-bak?
Hey guys, welcome back to the Ha Ha Podcast!
Guys, welcome back to another episode. We have a very, very, very special guest today because Emily's not here. Yep. Guys, this was so last minute and we just had to make time for this guest because he's just a hot topic right now. He is trending and you might know him and we will let you know who he is soon. Emily's not here today because she's in Miami and we were not planning on filming a podcast episode. Evelyn and I literally have a flight to catch in like five hours,
but you might know this podcast guest. He is a quant trader. He graduated from UC Berkeley. He lives in New York City. He is a fellow New Jerseyanianianian. And, and he was on a tiny little show
season five, if you know, you know. Do you want to say his name?
Yes. Kim Sung Hoon.
And his English name is Samuel Lee.
Yay!
I somehow got him on the podcast. I slid in his DM because I found out that he made his Instagram public. So I was like, do you want to come on the podcast. I slid in his DM because I found out that he made his Instagram public So I was like, do you want to come on the podcast? And he said yes, so yay
We're having him on the podcast and he's gonna get here in like 30 minutes and I'm sore nervous guys I woke up at 8 and I was like having anxiety. I was like We're gonna ask him all questions about singles inferno and also get to know him as a person before singles inferno like we want to know who he was before and like we want to know the entire process like you guys I have so many questions about reality TV yeah like is it scripted or like is it scripted like how do you feel when you're there like is this the camera
intimidate you like is he still dating Choi Min-a-su? Choi Min-a-sushi? We have so many questions guys so we shall ask everything and interrogate him yeah we can't wait bro get it
all right so catch you guys when he's here guys, Sam's here right now. We shall introduce him to you guys.
Hi.
You can sit right here. This is a Korean style. We're like very, this is an Asian inspired podcast room.
Oh, I see.
So we're gonna be very Korean inspired.
Okay, our legs might be a little bit cramped up.
No, it's all good.
No worries.
Yay guys, we have Sam on the pod!
How are you bro?
Good bro.
Thanks for coming to our podcast. I'm so excited. We're like a really big fan of Singles Inferno.
Oh, that's awesome.
You were actually my favorite character.
Really?
Yeah.
Okay, that's...
As a fellow Korean-American. New York and apparently New Jersey. Yeah, I think we have like some mutuals. Really? I mean, like didn't we grow up in the same neighborhood?
Yeah, you went to Bergen Academy.

Get started freeSo guys, Sam was from Jersey. And when we found out we were like, no way. Everyone is from Jersey. I swear to God. What part of Jersey were you in?
So I grew up in a town called Creskill. Like Alpine area.
What? That was so near us. We were in Old Japan.
NVOT? Yeah. Do you know people from NVOT?
I do, yeah. Wow, that's crazy.
Not a lot, but... You've heard of the place too.
That's crazy. How did I never hear of you?
I mean, I wasn't anyone special, so...
You weren't in a cast of Singles Inferno yet, so... Well, now you're someone special. Yeah. Damn. How do you feel?
Um, it's kind of like new to me. Because like, people recognize me and stuff.
No way.
I'm still getting used to it.
Are you like, yeah, like, do you, are you like awkward?
No, I think like I'm coming from Korea from a few weeks ago, and I kind of experienced there first. So here I'm kind of just used to it now.
Yeah.
Do you think people notice you more in Korea or America?
I think both.
I think because like I have a more unique face. So people like recognize me more.
Yeah. Wow, that's so cool.
Yeah, we wanted to know like who you are as a person like before Singles Inferno, like, you know, tell us about your lore, like your middle school, high school, kind of what kind of person you were. You went to college in UC Berkeley.
How was that?
Like, yeah, tell us about everything. A quant trader.
I mean, it's pretty, I'm like, I'm nothing special. I think like, I went to like a nearby high school, I mean, middle school to you guys and then I went to like a high school called Brigham Academy it's like a more of like a technical school like math oriented
school. BCA in New Jersey if you guys don't know is like a pretty rigorous school like for a high school. Yeah to take a test. Basically all the smart kids went there yeah and I was like okay I'm not gonna try it. But he was there. So yeah, when I heard that, I was like, okay, he was smart. And how was high school? Were you like a nerd? Like, were you a nerd growing up? Or were you like a cool kid? Like, what kind of person
were you? I think I wasn't like a super studious person think that's why I kind of, yeah. What's 12 times 12? Uh, 144.
Wait, what kind of math do you like?
Nothing like specialized anymore, but just, you know, all, just like problem solving in general.
So cool.
So were you like one of those kids, like annoying kids in school where you wouldn't study and then you would get like an A and people would be like bro what the f**k?
Not like that annoying.
Okay.
I guess similar.
Okay. So you're the person you were the student that didn't try too hard but always got good grades.
Yeah I didn't I didn't like try that hard.
That's why I didn't like I didn't really get good grades that much like my GPA wasn't like 4.0. Right, right. It wasn't like insane genius level.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay. What did you go to college for?
So I originally went declaring as math major and then I switched to computer science.
Wow. And now what do you do?
So I studied computer science there. My first job out of college was like... So I was very interested in AI back then. I did a lot of like research in my college studies. And so my first job was at a team called Google Brain. It's like, it's like an AI research team. I worked there for like two years,
on like technology similar to like chat GPT.
You know?
That's so cool. Did you do coding?
Yeah, yeah. It was mostly coding, like coding likegpt now. That's so cool. Did you do coding? Yeah, yeah, it was mostly coding. Coding like the math involved.
Wow, that's so cool. I have a question for you. When do you think AGI will come to be?
Maybe in our lifetime, probably. Like in our lifetime, for sure.
Really?
I actually think it's like already happened.
I feel like software engineers don't really do anything.
My job. My job. I don't want to say that because my job is still there. I still want to work.
Wait, are you still working right now?
Or are you on like time paid off?

Do you want a massage?
No, no, no. So what's your schedule right now? Like, are you like nine to five full on working right now?
Yeah, yeah. So I'm working full time, like hours don't really matter too much for our job. It's kind of just like you need to perform basically. So on the weekends, I like go to Korea and like film stuff if I need to. And then I come back to my job here.
What do you do on your free time?
Do you like vibe code or something? When I was more like free, I used to just like read papers and stuff for AI and stuff, but now I'm kind of like, there's not that much time for me.
So before Singles Inferno and like other than Kwan, like what's your hobby?
Hobby?
I think like, what are you interested in?
Probably similar things to you guys.
Yeah.
Just like hanging around here.
New York?
Yeah, just New York stuff.
When did you move here?
Like when you got your job from Google?
Yeah, like three years ago. No, no, Google, I worked in Silicon Valley.
Oh, right.

Damn, do you like New York better than LA?
Or Silicon Valley? Silicon Valley is like SF area. Oh, okay, got it. And then New York, I think it's more like motivational. Because everyone is working so hard, you guys are working hard too.
Thank you. Are you like in touch with Korean culture?
Your Korean is really good.
Should we start talking in Korean?
We're gonna need subtitles.
I'm curious, so you guys speak Korean?
Yeah, we do.
Yeah, so wait, are you born in Korea or here?
I'm born in Korea.
Oh, so are you a US citizen?
Or no?
Yeah, but I'm born in Korea.
Okay, okay.
Me too. I'm the same. Yeah, are you born in 1999?
98.
I'm 99.
Okay. Then what are you? I'm 04. Oh. Oh, yeah. Oh.
Yeah.
Oh, interesting.
You're more mature than I expected. Thank you.
For your compliment.
Do you think we could be on Singles Inferno?
Yeah, I think so.
I mean, the thing is, it's a Korean show.
Right, right.
Okay, so should we start speaking Korean together?
μλ νμΈμ.
μλ νμΈμ.
μλ νμΈμ. speaking Korean together. Hello. How was your day?
I just woke up.
I'm a bit tired. Did you have breakfast?
Not yet.
Do you want me to bring you breakfast?

Get started freeNo, it's okay. I think, I don't know if you can go on the show. But I think Evelyn will be.
Oh yes, guys. I've got the pass.
Okay, well speaking of Singles Inferno, we have a lot of questions about Singles Inferno.
I'll try to answer as best, I'm not allowed to say too much, I think. But I can talk about things that are public.
Okay, okay.
Well okay, so how did you sign up and were you like, I want to be on this show? Yeah, what made you go on the show? And what is the application? Like, do you just like, hey, Sam, and then press send?
So I'm born in Korea, so I have a lot of Korean friends. And culturally, I'm actually more Korean than American. And so some of my Korean friends know the producers of the show. And so the producer reached out to me, like asking if I want to interview.
Oh, so you got reached out too.
That's how it normally works. They reach out to people.
Yeah.
So you get casted basically.
Yeah, I don't know if the application process is actually like functional. It's more like they reach out to you.
Oh, interesting. That's so cool.
When you got reached out to, what was your initial reaction?
I didn't think I would actually be on it. Yeah. Because like, I don't know.
There's so many people.
Yeah, there's so many people. And there's so many amazing people in Korea. So why me? Like I always thought like, why me?
But I feel like being an American kind of like makes you more interesting and that, you know, you have a higher chance. Did you go into the show actually thinking that you would find true love?
"I'd definitely pay more for this as your audio transcription is miles ahead of the rest."

Get started freeI knew it was very low probability because everyone else kind of goes on it for other reasons. So like, but yeah.
What are the other reasons?
I mean like it's high visibility show. So like, you know, you gain popularity and stuff.
Damn.
Even if people go on it for different intentions, like the show is on an island, and like it's for 10 days, you're like only looking to like talk to girls and guys and whatnot. So like you go on it and kind of absorb into the atmosphere
and you kind of end up like falling actually.
Damn.
That is so crazy.
It makes you actually like want to find love.
Right.
No.
Because of the environment.
Yeah.
Are you allowed to be on your phone on the island?
No, they take your phone.
Damn.
Wait, were you shaking when you were climbing up that mountain and you were about to like say like hi to everyone and sit down?
Yeah, I was.

Get started freeWere you like. Oh my god, do you get nervous easily? No, but I did get really nervous there. You were what, like one of the last guys to sit, right?
I think, yeah, I was second last there.
Okay, yeah.
How was like reviewing, like watching back on your like self?
So like, I mean there was a lot of controversy, like I said bro too much.
But I think that was funny, like I think at the end it was like your charm, you know? It made you like the funny person and like shows your personality.
Do you say it less now or?
I don't say it anymore.
What?
Because it was so like weird seeing myself saying that.
Really? I loved it. I thought it was like a really funny charm.
Yeah.
Say it. Bring it back.
Okay, bro.
Okay, bro. Okay, bro. Yes, bro. Let's go, baby. Let's go, baby Okay, so you entered and then How much are you able to say I'm so curious about like the whole process like were you intimidated because there were so many cameras Like did you feel like you couldn't like do your usual Riz like, you know Talk to people the normal way because you knew like cameras were on you or did it feel like kind of normal
and then watching back you were like, oh damn, there was a lot of cameras on us.
So there's like thousands of cameras, that's true. But they're kind of good about like not making it visible to you. It's only when it's like a one-on-one date where they kind of like really go zoom in on you, but I think they kind of are good about it. How long are you on the island for?
So how's paradise then? Was it like truly a difference? Like everyone on the show is like, wow, like this is so good. And like, oh my God, the food was so good. And like, you know, was it truly a difference where you're like, damn, I never want to go back. Um, I actually liked the Inferno better. Oh damn. Because like my friends, well my guy friends
were there and it's more fun. Yeah and I didn't go on go to paradise with someone like that I wanted to. Right right right. So. T. Are you friends with all the cast now? Are you like really close friends? We're all very close friends. All of them? Yeah. Oh wow that's so sweet. I wish they showed like more of like the friendship side. Cause like they only showed you and like Choi Min-a, Su's relationship, or like he's Hyun for like two seconds.
But I wish they showed you like the bromance or like the girlfriends, you know? How much of the show do you think like actually aired? Cause that's like 10 days.
30%.
30%?!
Only 30% 30%?! Only 30%? And they cut it in a way where you, they wanna do some narrative. I actually spoke to other people as well, but they kind of cut it all out. To have the narrative.
Oh damn.
Wait, you need to tell us who you spoke to. Yes, because I was like, the entire time I was like, Sam, you gotta explore, like go talk to other people. Like, there's not only Min-a-soo.
I did, I did. And I think everyone else did as well. But they kind of cut it out to make some.
So who did you talk to?
I mean, I talked to like everyone at least once.
Okay.
Didn't click as much.
Yeah, didn't click.
Yeah.
Is your top priority still Min-a-soo?
What do you mean still? Like, like, like right now. I mean, no comment.
Respect. Respect. Respect.

Um, now?
Like how you and other cast members are?
To be honest, we don't like, even the cast members are kind of, we don't really talk about it, like current relationships that much.
I think the culture is very like,
keep it low-key,
even if they date. I see. I'm just really curious about the bed situation, like is it, like where is the toilet, like how, you know, like are the beds comfortable? Facts. So we all live in
the same room, the guys are in one room and the girls are in another room, and the bathrooms are like off-camera, obviously.
Yeah.
Yeah. And if you want to go to the bathroom, you just have to tell the producer.
Was the shower and everything nice?
Man, I don't know if I can talk. It's like a shared shower.
Oh.
It's like very Korean style. Wait.
Shared as in unisex?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's like one, it's kind of like a Korean spa. Oh, like this little bath house? Yeah, or like a gym locker room kind of vibe.
Oh, so it's nice.
But different genders.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dang, that's so interesting. I used to live there. Yeah. I had a hard time. Was like on the show when there was like tuna cans and kimchi only, was that the actual only food?
Yeah, legit.
So I actually lost like 10 pounds on the show.
Oh my god. No way.
Yeah, I did.
No way.
That's why I had a really hard time. And I feel like I look a little different on the show
than in real life, because I lost so much like small. I don't know like you're much Skinnier than I am not in a bad way. Like yeah, just like your face looks is like so much smaller Wow, that's so crazy, how about like fashion? We're like, I don't know. I want to ask the girls this like their fashion Like I don't know. I do you plan out your outfits before on tour? Yeah, how many suitcases did you bring? I didn't bring that many because I'm coming from America.
Right. But they probably brought like three or four.
Damn.
For 10 days.
And you need to be approved of all the outfits as well. Oh really? Prior to the show.
Oh damn.
Midway, were you ever like, I want to leave and I just want to like call a helicopter just leave because you can't it's not like a place you can just like swim

Like I wanted to leave cuz it was like mentally draining or physically both. Yeah By what day do you think you wanted to leave day one?
Because like I open I don't know if you guys saw that but when I opened like the chest and saw oh, yeah Yeah, I was like, okay
I'm done. Get me out of here. That's so crazy. Oh my gosh. It's very if you guys go on it I think you guys will want to do the same. Oh really? If I got no pics I'm just making my friends. No pics, no food. You know and did you feel
like humbled when? Of course yeah. I mean it's the most humbling experience. Damn, bro. I feel like everyone should experience this one time in their life.
I feel like this show kind of sounds like a spiritual journey.
It is. It really is.
Dang.
Among the girls, who were you closest with, like girlfriends with?
Probably Heesun and Minase.
Oh, really? Heesun?
Yeah.
What do you think you learned most about yourself from the show?
So like, you know how in the real world when you're looking for a partner, it's like, obviously a lot of things matter, but it's like, you know, your appearance, like your personality, but it's also like, what's important is like, maybe even like your job or like your status or like, you know, societal standards. But in this Inferno thing, like-
Nothing matters.
Nothing matters. It's only like your personality and like your chemistry and your appearance. So I think I was like finding what my video, what is that word? Charm. Charm.
I was finding like, what is my charm on the island? Outside of like my job and outside of like the societal things.
Right, right, right.

My bros and babies. I think maybe my humor.
Right.
I feel like everyone on the show really found that funny though. people like um laughing and people were like oh my god he's so funny for like your americanized like language or like charm i guess so i think that was funny that's good yeah well we have a lot of fan questions okay from our audience and they're huge fans of singles inferno so they wanted to ask well i'm just gonna ask you a lot a bunch. Are you ready for it? Sure. Okay. Guys, we're entering the fan rapid fire questions. And they're pretty juicy.
So let's go, I guess.
Okay.
Juicy.
Juicy.
I'm scared now.
Okay.
I'm scared.
If you and your partner wanted to, are you allowed to go to the next base?
So more than cuddling they didn't even cuddle where they they were just like going like this
i don't think it's like korean culture to do that yeah so like not even kiss on the lip yeah i don't
think do you think it'll ever be a stage in korea like reality show where they will go more maybe in

Get started freelike 20 years damn i just don't i just can't see it now. Yeah.
Can you guys see that now? I don't know, I think it'd be so funny if one member comes onto Singles Inferno and actually holds hands, does the hugging, the kiss on the cheek at least. Bring some Love Island on there a little bit.
Even that would be crazy.
Right?
Yeah. We would need someone crazy. Right? Yeah.
Right?
Yeah.
We would need someone very Americanized.
Yeah. Did none of the guys even think of doing anything like that?
I didn't.
Although I was watching back. I'm also a viewer with you guys. I don't know all the details of other members. I only know my role there. I was looking at the Chaejin and Juyoung scenes. That almost looked like they were kissing.
That one was spicy. That one was spicy.
Where they were by the bathroom and he was like, I was like, damn!
I know! I almost thought they probably kissed or something. I mean, I don't know if they did, but it almost seemed like they did. Are you still friends with them? Yeah, we're all very close. Okay. It's like trauma bonding almost, right next question, are you really the grandson of Korea's president? He mung pop. Okay. So this one is a no. Okay. This was official. It was no
How does a rumor like that even spread Someone just puts your face and like the X-press, and they're like, their bone structure is the same.
The internet is crazy.
The internet is crazy, guys. You can never believe anything on the internet. Trust me.

Yeah. Okay.
What's your favorite dish from Paradise?
I don't even know what I ate. I was so like out of it at the time. It was like day seven, not day eight. And I was just so like, I don't remember anything.
Oh right, you only got to paradise once.
Yeah, let's not talk about that.
It's okay.
I feel you.
Yeah.
It's okay, yeah.
It's painful memories.
Yeah, it's okay.
Let's not talk about the past. The past is the past. Every time people went to Paradise, were you just like, f*** man? I was, yeah. I was the last person to go, I think. Yeah, you were like, just send me home, bro.

I mean, she was probably curious about me, I think, yeah. We're both from America.
Well, which game was the most interesting to you? I wanna know how the game goes down. Cause it cuts from you guys talking and then boom, it cuts to game. You guys are just standing in a f***ing line. Are they like, okay, the game's gonna start, get uniformed.
Do you guys stand here? They stand here. How does that go?
Yeah, so like we would all be like asked to go to the rooms and then you hear like the
and then they're like okay yeah like the games are happening and then you have like a few minutes to get ready and then you go. Damn. Were you scared on the first ever game? The first ever game was the the guy game. Oh wait, yeah. And everyone is so strong like I mean okay everyone okay first of all these people are like all very tall and all very strong like they're the probably one of the strongest people in Korea right like outside of athletes and we're all like we're all like very like tall and strong and and so I was very surprised. Like in the games I just felt like, I thought I was pretty strong like outside of the show
but when I went on it I was like oh crap.
Damn, they didn't hit the gym hard.
I was very humbled.
Wow.
Okay, next question. What's your favorite memory from the show that we didn't get to see?
Maybe like the sunsets. So some of the time, it's like a very beautiful island. And like during the sunsets, it's very beautiful. All of us would just sit there and like look at the sunsets.
Wow.
Oh yeah, can you, someone asked me this. Can you pay to have more screen time?
I didn't try it. I'd be surprised if you can. You might have to pay a lot.

Does someone do your laundry while you're there?

You don't get any help on the island.
So is there a laundry though or no?
No.
So you can't reuse?
No one does your makeup. No one does your makeup, no one does your hair, it's everything's yourself. Dang. Why did I think there was going to be like a staff doing glam? I thought so too.
You thought so too?
And so they asked me to learn how to do like makeup and stuff.
Wait, did you put make- did the guys do makeup?
I mean, not a lot, but just like enough to-
Like a little bit, like a little sunscreen? Out of respect for the show and the cameras. Right. You have to put together and stuff. That's crazy. So you did your own laundry?
We didn't do laundry.
Oh, so you had to bring enough clothes to that. Okay. Wow.
That makes sense.

They will cut it out though if you need to. Yeah. There were times where we were all cursed. Oh, they cut it out. No, I mean like fake friends. Like after the show, you just, like when you got your phone back, were you like, oh my God. Oh wait, I guess it didn't air when you got your phone back. So when it aired, I guess, no, I didn't have any fake friends or anything.
Everyone was very supportive.
Oh, period. Dang. Before you went on, did you tell your friends and family? My close friends, yeah. What was their reaction? No, they were very supportive. Oh my god. And my friends were actually the
ones that introduced me to the bar. Oh, right, right, right.
My friends would make fun of me. Yeah. They'd be like,
I can't wait to see. But I think they would be supportive, right? Yeah, but they would be supportive, for sure. They'd just be like, make sure you don't act pick me.
Don't act like a pick me.
Yeah.
I want in the preview, I think they announced season 6.
Oh yes, they did announce season 6.
I hope that it's like a more diverse season.

Get started freeJust like this one. Right? Yeah, just like this one, right? Yeah, I really enjoyed this season because it was Korean American in the last few seasons I don't think there was like any Korean American. So I wasn't like that interested there was one Oh in season two I watched that one. Okay, and then this one I saw there was three Korean Americans I was like, I need to tap into this one how far in advance they pick who's going on the show
So it's filmed. this is all public information. It's filmed in June, I think. And then they finalize everything by April.
So basically Singles Inferno already started casting for season six, you guys. We missed it. I'm not going to be on it.
No, no, no. You guys can just DM them.
Or I'll send you the producers information. Oh yes, please send me. I'll go on it. I'm not gonna be on it. No, no, no. You guys can just DM them. Oh.
Or I'll send you the producer's information.
Oh yes, please send me. I'll go on it.
Is that gum? Can I have one? Oh, this is the Japanese gum. Thank you.
He's Japanese.
Oh, hi.
Oh, hi.
All right. Now moving on to the final segment, which is post-Singles Inferno. Coming off of this crazy Singles Inferno season 5, is there anything you learned about yourself?
Or love about being on the show?
I think just finding out who I, like what my maeryuk is, my appeal is. Yeah, and just being humbled by everything and you know.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's a very humbling experience yeah like what would you think your mediocre is after like all that like no one knows what you do no one knows like your age like what do you think your mediocre is no one knows who you are oh my god I mean what is your risk bro my risk I mean I feel like I have a hard time being vulnerable so I think if I ever go on the show, I think I'll probably like learn
about being vulnerable or something, maybe.
Like being honest with people.

Like confrontation. Uh-huh, I suck at that. I suck at that. And I also like, if I ever get rejected, I like, I'm the type that like pretends not to like, like the guy, you know what I mean? Like, oh yeah, like you gotta be like kind of fast cuz yeah If someone's like talking to someone and then like talk to someone else you can't be like about her
You have to be like, okay, then I'm gonna talk to this guy But then you also have to understand and like also like talk to the guy even though he talked to another girl
So if you like someone are you like proactive like you want to talk to them or no? Hmm, then you might be screwed. Really? Yeah, because like
It's very like it's like a jungle there like as soon as you wake up
They're like you gotta go. Really? Yeah
And even if you're talking to someone like there's gonna be three guys waiting. Damn
To take your time with the person. Do you think it's better to be like straightforward, like straight line, like, oh, I like you. Or do you think it's better to like, keep your options open and like.
So I think in general, so one thing I learned, this might be very generalization, but I think in general, girls like when the guys are more proactive. They find interest in someone that the guys are interested in them first. So in terms of the guys have to be more proactive for sure.
So if you guys are in the future season, just be more proactive. For sure. That's your tip.
Okay.
What about for the girls?
I don't know.
I'm not one to talk because I didn't really do well on the show. I'm not a good person to talk to.
But I feel like even though you didn't have love lore, you still stood out as your character.
I think everyone was so diverse this season. Everyone had very different looks, personalities.
Looking back, what would you have done differently?
I think I would have been more, I would say less bro, for sure. Less bro. More like romantic. So I'm kind of more of like a friends to lover kind of type. But I think I should have been more more proactive in terms of relationships. Right.

Get started freeRight, because with Mina Su, you were very like...
You guys were friends first.
Yeah, but that's my style outside of the island, too.
Yeah, because when I was watching the show, I'm like, do you like Mina Su or are you just trying to be friends with her?
It was like my thing, but you actually liked her in the show? Yeah, near the end. Because it takes some time for me to like someone. Everyone's different.
Right, right. Okay.
Dang.
How has your life changed after the show has aired?
I think just more like publicity and like more opportunities in the entertainment world, especially in Korea. Are you watching all of the fan edits on TikTok? No, I don't use TikTok.
Oh really? You're out of it?
No. Sometimes my friends would send me something if it's funny, but I don't use TikTok.
So you try not to read the comments or anything like that? No.
Really? Wow. I didn't even watch the show until recently. I didn't even have Instagram. Oh damn.
Until like last week. Oh, damn. Welcome back to social media Dang, that's crazy. Oh, wait. Are you going back to your Like normal job now. Yeah, he's doing it right now. Yeah, I've always been yeah Oh, I see. Okay, I've never took time off. Uh-huh. And right now you're not currently in a relationship or anything No, no comment. Hey, I try to like sneak it in every here and there.
I was trying to be slick with it.
So what did you eat for breakfast with a significant other or something?
AI.
My response is going to be AI.
"Your service and product truly is the best and best value I have found after hours of searching."

OK, this is generalized, but like, what's your type?
Oh, yeah. That's a good question.
My type? Someone just like honest and like genuine and like kind.
Bare minimum.
Yeah, bare minimum.
Nothing crazy.
I'm kidding.
Do you have a like physical appearance type? Not really, but I do prefer like taller. How tall are you?
184 centimeters.
Is that like five, I mean six, six one?
I think it's like six and a half or something like that.
Six and a half?
Yeah.
Okay, cool.
Gagged.
Do you know gagged?
Okay, gagged.
But everyone on the show is taller than I am.
Oh, really?
I think the average height is like six foot one or something. What the hell? They're all like 6'2, 6'3 That's crazy! I was on the lower end of the category
Who's the shortest?
I don't know, I think it might be Seungyoon
Really? I thought it would be like Sunghoon
That's me, bro
No, not you
The guy that's like really cutesy Well, went on the first date with Minji
Oh no, he's taller than me Really? What was his name? He's like 6'1". Sungmin.
Sungmin. Okay, okay.
He's like 6'2".
That's crazy.
That's unexpected.
Are there any other fun projects coming up for you anytime soon?
Um, I'm going on some Korean shows.
Oh my god, are you allowed to say it? I don't know. I'm sure it's gonna come out soon anyway. What do you wanna do in the future now that you have all these opportunities?
So, it's more fun for me. Like I'm doing it for fun. I actually spend more out of pocket to do these things rather than like income. So I'm spending my own time and money to do this
cause it's fun.
Right, it is really fun. Are you like a little intimidated by all the like social media and all the comments and stuff like that though? I think everyone's been supportive so and if I do see a bad comment I kind of just delete it. Yeah period. Like we all do. Yeah just like pretend you don't see that. Yeah. So do you think you're gonna be like more like Americanized like influencer vibe or do you want to like stay in Korea and do more Korean variety, like vibes?
I think Korea, I like prefer the Korean.
Korean vibe.
Cause I'm more of a Korean culture person.
So I think yeah.
Cool.
We have to wrap up our episode. But before we wrap it up, I have a surprise for you.
Oh god.
We have a special guest coming in.
Wait, what? Minase! Oh, bruh.
Minase?
Nah, I'm kidding. Okay.
I know you're kidding.
You knew I was kidding?
Yeah, of course she's not here.

Okay, so I just put this on. Yeah Wait, you should sign first. Oh
All right, guys. He's signing the paper
So I have to put it on. Oh, nice. Well, we have makeup remover too. What is this? Oh, it's a mic. Oh,
just in case you talk. Oh, very nice application, sir.
Staring at him, put on the lipstick. So do guys do this too? Or yeah.
Don't worry, bro.
Happy Valentine's Day. Oh, wow. Very nice lips.
