Why does a suspected anti-muslim attack barely make the news?

There was a suspected anti -Muslim attack on the streets of the UK in the last few days and you've probably not heard about it because it's barely being covered.A man has been charged after a series of suspected attacks in Edinburgh that reportedly began near a mosque and left five people dead.injured.Videos shared on social media show a bare -skinned man on the street shouting that he's protecting the country.The Prime Minister condemned the incident in a post on X saying it appeared to be motivated by anti -Muslim hatred.But there's been no emergency government Cobra meetings, no front pages outside of Scotland, no wall -to -wall coverage in the media.

Now compare that to what happened less than two months ago when two Jewish men were attacked in Golders Green.That attack rightly dominated the news.The prime minister visited the scene.Emergency government meetings took place.Extra support was announced for the Jewish community, partly because it wasn't an isolated incident.

Sadly, synagogues had been targeted.Ambulances burned down.But the same can be said here.Mosques have been attacked and Muslims targeted in their own homes in recent times.The problem isn't what happened after Gold is Green.The response is exactly what should have taken place when a minority community is terrified because they've been attacked.

The problem is that the same urgency, the same attention and the same political response isn't there when the targets are Muslims.
