Zoom offers in-meeting captions and a separate meeting transcript. When meeting transcription is enabled, open More, then Transcript in the meeting controls. The host can start transcription; participants can request access.
To keep a copy, choose Save transcript at the bottom of the Transcript panel. Zoom saves this meeting transcript as a TXT file. This is different from the VTT transcript generated for a cloud recording.
Zoom cloud recording transcription requires an eligible Pro, Business, Education, or Enterprise account with cloud recording enabled. In the Zoom web portal, open Settings, then Recording, and enable Create audio transcript under Advanced cloud recording settings. Your administrator may control this setting.
After a cloud recording is processed, Zoom saves a separate VTT transcript alongside it. Download your MP4 video or M4A audio recording to transcribe it with Cockatoo.
